Best Way To Farm Cells in Dead Cells In [2022] Most Recent Patch Using Aspect Grenadier Tactics Build with Custom Mode Settings works on Console and PC

Want to learn how to farm cells in Dead Cells? Trying to level the Legendary Forge with the Blacksmith? Hop in Custom Mode in Dead Cells when you want to farm cells. I personally did this on 4BC for 3x the cells, but you are welcome to do this on 2BC instead for x2 cell farming. This is very CASUAL cell farming, health flask refills on every level and you have infinite ammo. You can even try to speedrun to get the most cells you can!
About Dead Cells Update 25
TLDR
Training room - hone your skills against all the mobs and bosses you've seen, except the spoiler boss of course
Aspects - extremely strong powers to make your run easier (but you can't win the next Boss Cell if you beat the game)
World map - see the paths you can take through the island
When you pick up a scroll you can see the change to your overall damage for each colour
Multi-binding moved to Custom Mode
Lots of smaller quality-of-life changes

Nice guide, dont forget you can set the custom game to have up to 10 mutations, which can also make the farming faster. :-)

You can also set the kill count for curses to zero, for the people that want to collect cells unhindered by the threat of losing. Definitely loses that special something for me, though.

Great video as usual ! Taking Grenadier aspect is indeed a very good and fun way to farm cells. Some settings you can change to make it even more efficient : - turn on *Assist Mode* and lower enemies' HP to 20% - in custom mode, turn on *"All weapons are legendaries"* - for the seed, use *340000* : one of the first bats in Prisoners' Quarters drops a liposuction (note : it doesn't drop on 4/5BC) For the build I suggest: *Multiple-nocks Bow* (the legendary version has double-ammo, which makes it extremely powerful for bosses) *Assault Shield* (great for going fast, to use it : press the shield and dodge button at the same time) *Double Cluster Grenade* Velocity (for longer speed boosts in biomes) Barbed tips (for faster and easier boss kill) Tranquility (faster and easier boss kills as well) or Point Blank if you're confident about the no-hit Edit : Updated to include new settings to tweak

Is custom mode a temporary mode or permanent like permanently disabled achievement and stuff? Can someone answer pls.

You pick between normal and custom every time you start a new game. You can't get achievements in custom mode, but you can still unlock new items, upgrade your forge, acquire boss cells. And these carry over to normal mode. I actually play custom mode most of the time, just with "health fountain never breaks", and went up to 5BC and unlocked most items that way. These remain unlocked in normal mode.

@@obuw1You can actually get achievements in Custom Mode, it's just that depending on which options you select, they might be locked (Having less than 20 items IIRC also disables achievements I think but not sure on that number). You might've forgotten that or you are used to playing with the "health fountain never breaks", which is completely valid btw!

You can use 340000, it has one of the first bats in Prisoners' Quarters drop a liposuction (if you have Hitchcock activated that is, and doesn't work on 4/5BC).

I just tried this a few times on 2BC as described (I think) and while it's fun, I kept running into situations where my grenades get mobs down to a sliver, and then they're on CD for 20 seconds, which usually a) results in me getting hit because my grenades are suddenly unavailable, and losing out on the no-hit door, and/or b) losing out on the timed door because I'm derping around with the crossbow waiting for the grenade CD (or looking for a scroll to reset the CD). I took 50k starting gold so Grenades were all upgraded to S with best affixes I could reforge after each map. It seems as though you really have to make some quick decisions on where your grenades are likely to bounce and whether it'll be enough to kill at least one mob. Suggestions?

I like the idea of 50k starting gold to make sure you can upgrade them. Aside from that, Barbed tips with the repeater's alt fire helped me kill things when the grenades weren't strong enough. Not too many monsters could withstand 2 clusters. Maybe the amulet needs to be x2 purple for maximum damage?

@@Veedotme Understood! I also tried again and think a lot of my problem is with Cluster grenades just whiffing, especially on smaller platforms where most of the individual grenades just bounce off. I tried combining Cluster + Powerful and had better luck. Then again, you didn't have that problem, so it could be that my utter lack of talent was a factor. :-) Thanks for the tips.

I've just replaced the cluster bombs with powerful bombs and just kept my eye enemy health and who dies to one bomb or two. Plus if you do stuff up the cooldown for it is only 13sec instead of 20-30

the cell must enter your body to collect it. for example, you can click the door while cells are flying at you and (hopefully) collect them ALL before the exit completes. But, if you exit too fast, the cells fall to the floor.

So I’m reasonably new to this game. I read that to unlock the doctor to set an aspect I need to be on my third consecutive run. After I unlock the doctor is he always available or only after three consecutive runs?

Yes, he is always available from that point on. However, you will have to talk to him FIRST every run, before you do anything else. If you enter any doors or pick up your weapons, he will no longer offer Aspects for that run.

All legendary items will give your grenades a second detonation. Plus, on update 3.4 the seed 425966 has a bank between Prison Depths and Ossuary!

AND if you beat Concierge with no hits you get a Legendary Cleaver (idk if you don't have it unlocked). The cleaver is called "Throwable Objects" , from the DLC room with a fire place, it will do enough knockback to stun lock Concierge and TimeKeeper.

Assuming you have custom mode "enable 2 of same weapon" turned on, there is a bug right now where Custom Mode may not load you in with both skills. You will have to get a 2nd grenade in PQ if this happens.
