Open the rgb box on the mousepad and check if the plastic light bar is touching the LED, and check if both LED lights are the same brightness. It is definitely one of those two issues, so might as well take it apart and see what's wrong before buying a whole new one. If it is just the lightbar not touching, you can easily just move it back into place.
