Best Way to Keep your Dogs Warm in Their Dog House D I Y Insulated 

Building my dogs a dog house was rewarding, fun and easy to do. It only took a few hours and the results are perfect. I insulated the dog house with reflected foam to provide a nice living environment for my dogs years around and especially in the winter. The insulated dog house will keep my dogs at least 10 degrees warmer in the winter.

The dog house is 4' wide 3' tall & 3' deep. I used 2 x 3's for my framing and 2 x 3's for the bottom support. Inside the dog house, I installed the R-Tech insulated foam and thin pieces of plywood to hold it in place. On top of the dog house, I attached hinges and a latch on the front. My dogs have 2 medium dog beds and plenty of cover for the cold winter nights.
