If you get any range on overlords then they won't fire the big cannons unless things approach because they have the same base range as the overlord, so no range upgrades shouldn't affect techs.

I've always wanted to see crawler rhino techs. I feel like getting some shields and having crawlers and rhinos brawl inside them protected from range could be so cool

Fort in the first game had intensive training when it was dropped down, that was why it could level in round 4, not because it was doing work.

Im wondering, you often upgraded a random arclight or set down a random missile, over the temporary speed upgrade. Since youre going into Melee units, i feel like the speed can make a massive difference. You could see the HUGE difference mech rage made in speed 2 when you got it, and that is also partially because of the speed. Especially as speed specialist. But you are certainly a much better player than my noob butt. So maybe someone explain it to me ?
