I'm 8 days in after a hip replacement, I use the cane inside my apartment. I have begun using the walker up and down the hallway of my building. Thanks for the video.
Great introduction! Hope to see a video demonstrating the use of both for stairs and curbs! 😊 So many patients push to soon to go from the walker to the cane. Listen to the PT folks.
Thanks Docs, I am getting closer to my surgery finally at least by February for first surgery, thanks for your helpful information. Have Merry Christmas!
Drs guess what I am using topical cream. It's working but I still need surgery. I see the Dr. In 2 weeks. It will be interesting to see if it will work until seeing the surgeon. Again thank you. I feel better. ❤
I was seeing my primary care doctor yesterday for a pre-op check up before hip surgery in a few days and she commented on why I had the cane in my left hand my right hip was bad. I couldn't believe she wouldn't know that. Well, she's just primary care, not orthopedic, but still I would think she would know that. I demonstrated why you use the opposite side for the cane, the "tripod" effect. Of course with a good left hip and a totally worn out right hip the cane is useless in my right hand.
I had hip labral surgery and was using a cane for awhile but I was walking very slow and could not keep up with others. I tried a rollerator and I move much faster. Is it ok to get this if I am 2 months post op?
