@SCP, Thank you So much for your words Sujata didi...not hard...just trying :-) Actually, I have lots of recordings sitting idle and so trying to upload on regular basis. Otherwise, too tough to handle lots of clips...
@jayashree murthy, After a long gap..Hope you are your plants are doing great :-) Thank you so much for your feedback, really appreciate it 😃😃 She loves to water plants 😃😃
It's very useful video. My plant flower size so small. I didn't use any fertilizers. Now onwards I want to use mustard cake and bonemeal. I like your video. It's 17th like.
@Venkat Lakshmi Gandepalli, Thank you So So much for your words, appreciate it :-) Since they bloom heavily, need regular fertilizers. If we don't, they usually stop flowering after blooming heavily for once. Good luck with your plants :-)
Thank you for sharing. We appreciate your every videos, you cover the whole story of a plant, from seedlings to the fullest growth, and that make a unique and informative videos on plants, and it really helps us a lot. Once again thank you a lot. Best wishes always. Tc.😊🙏
@Swati Mane, Thank you So So much for your amazing feedback, I truly appreciate it :-) I do it as I think this way anyone would be able to copy me and enjoy lots of flowers 😊😊 I am so glad to know it's working and thank you once again 😊😊 Happy Gardening 😊😊
@Pradip Bhowmick, Thank you so much for your words, appreciate it 😊😊 If you do all those, I hope your plants would look like mine too...or even better :-) We get lots of problems though...would try to discuss all other problems in one other video. Thank you once again :-)
Maybe the soil you planted your marigolds in didn't have much nutrients that the plant needed or the variety is different, because there are also some Asian marigolds that have smaller flowers (colored orange and yellow) and French Marigolds that are also small, but has red and more colors.
Thanks for a great video. QUESTIONS: What are mustard cakes? Where do you buy them? What are they good for? I look forward to reading your replies to my three questions.
@Linda Johnson, Most welcome and thank you so much for your feedback, appreciate it :-) Mustard cake - Mustard cake is the residue left over from commercial mustard oil or meal production. It is widely used as a fertilizer for flowering and vegetable plants. Basically it is very rich in protein and contains many micro nutrients. Where to buy them - They are readily available in our place (Amazon.in) and I don't think you would get there. So, instead of this you can use either Fish Emulsion fertilizer or blood meal. These are available in my place too, but Mustard cake is really very cheap. I hope, I answered to your questions. If you have any, please let me know. Thank you once again and Marry Christmas :-)
@@GardeningUpbeat Thank you for replying so quickly. 👍👍👍👍. You answered all my questions also. Do you have any videos on growing other annual plants like petunias from seed to creating a beautiful flower pot and how to take care of them? Like when do you cut them so the bush out? I always get these very long single stem plants. Do I place a lot of these together in the pot or is there a way of cutting the seedlings to bush them out? Do I do a couple of seeds per planting cell like veggies and then transplant? Or do I direct seed a planter and go from there? I look forward to hearing your answers to these questions now.
First thank you for all your beautiful and useful videos . I'm from Egypt and here we are in end of spring season is there any chance if I just planting my seeds week ago.
I can totally understand..instead of that, any fertilizers with high Nitrogen volume can be used. If you do composting at home, that can be used as well..but, N% in compost is lesser than Mustard cake powder. I often use Mustard cake powder as it really boosts the growth of any plants and result can be seen in 7-10 days. Wish you all the best!
@@GardeningUpbeat Thank you for the information. But I would like to know is NPK fertiliser ok? If so what should be the ratio? Your help will be really helpful.
You are most welcome! Sure, NPK is fine too..if you are going to use 100% water soluble, dose would be 1/2 teaspoon in 1 liter water. If they are crystal, then 4-5 crystals for a 8-10 inch pot. Frequency for both - 20 to 25 days. Thank you and hope that helps!
Sorry for the late reply..RU-vid doesn't send any notification for nested comment. Actually it depends on the size of the pot and for one 8 inch pot, around 500ml is fine. We can apply whole 1 liter too..but rest would get wasted as it would come out through the drainage holes. For one 10-12 inch pot, 1 liter is almost enough and for 6 inch pot, around 300ml is fine. Hope that helps, thank you!
I have grown marigold from seeds. They are healthy and bushy. I planted them around January. It is June now, but none of them have a single bud. I have added vermicompost and home made fertilizer made from dried banana peels, egg shells and tea leaves. I water it regularly and it is in full sunlight. Please help. 😇
My marigold plants r getting affected by leaf curl disease...4 plants already dead...n also leaf miner attack.please help me to get rid of it...any organic solution?
@Soumya's Mehandi and Creativity, Sorry to know about your plants. Leaf curl is a very common problem and need to apply Fungicide + Insecticide. Plus lots of direct sunlight. I already have one video and there I have shown it I fixed it - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-899uLxWMHmQ.html But, I have used Chemical. If you want to use only organic, please use calcium hydroxide (Chuna that is found on Paan shop) and Neem Oil. Good luck :-)
If you have only these two options, NPK 30:10:10+TE would be better as it contains all other Micro-nutrients too. But, % of N is bit high..it would have been nice if it was something like this - NPK 20:15:15+TE. Nevertheless, no worry and you can start applying the fertilizer. Please always start with low dose than recommended. Observe the growth in next 7-10 days and depending on that, use full dose. Whenever we apply any Chemical fertilizers, it's always a good idea to start with low dose as they work quite fast. And, if we do little bit mistakes, plants may suffer very badly. Not trying to scare you....just sharing my thought as it happens with me in past. Chemical fertilizer is fine and I also use quite often :-) Wish you all the best :-)
Hey! My marigold leaves are burning and the flowers look burnt too. I water daily and give enough sun. Still.. Could it be fungal infection? Or just nutrient deficiency?
Hi..... I got yellow oleander fruit from The plant which is now not matured and is green in colour as The plant is formed from a mature seeds will it be fine if I let the fruit dry in sun so that it ripen and I can use it for planting kaner.... Plz reply
@Arshiya Sharma, You can grow from the seed but seeds are poisonous :-( So, I really don't recommend you to store it. Instead, you can grow Oleander easily from cuttings. They would root really well even in water :-)
@J.Raja Paul Perinbam, Both are not same actually...Mustard cake is available on Amazon. If you like, you can try once as it's really helpful. About Curly leaves - I already have one video for that and you can watch here - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-899uLxWMHmQ.html Can be fixed within 10 days if the plant is in growing stage. Thank you :-)
Hi...... In Nov month my marigolds were growing fantastic they were producing big and heavy blooms but after that from some months The leaves began to get dry ......and I pruned my plant from those dead leaves so that new leaves could form but there is no such change instead The plant Is getting more dry and stems are thining too what could be the reason and any solution so that my plant could be saved and thrive
@Arshiya Sharma, It's a common problem which is seen on Marigold. Problem is, if we don't provide enough nutrients at early stage, they bloom heavily only once and then stop their growth. At that stage, they also get lots of pest attack. Bit difficult to revive such plants, sorry to say. This happens with 99% plants that we buy from Nursery at blooming stage. So, if possible, please try to grow once from seedling stage providing rich soil. They would grow well and would be thriving. But still, if you want to revive your other plants, you can fertilize it once (Plz don't use full dose as plants are weak at this stage). Provide plenty of sunlight and apply pesticide on regular basis. Hope they revive soon...Good luck :-)
Hello Mr.@Gardening Upbeat.. my marigold (young no flowering, yet)plant is having white spot on leaf. I apply neem oil, too. Should I use pesticide or fungicide? Thanks😊.
Sure, please use it. And, please note that, if temp is too high, African Marigold is not going to do well. For Summer, French Marigold is the best. Thank you 😊
Wow, the dude who is doing the voice over for this medical commercial sounds identical to President Obama! Tenor, tone, infliction points are remarkably similar! LOL.
