You have really good vids people a lot of people just don’t know about you channel if people ever ask me a hunter RU-vid I say you because you give so much info and overall entertaining

I found that the airgun is amazing. You can take out entire herds of anything from coyote to pronghorn. It may be short range, but every mill dot on the hyperion is 50m zeroing

I stick most of time with 4 weapons: 7mm for bigger game, Solokhin for average, Hawkedge bow for silent kills and the 22 for small game. Buuuut I love the Magnum 44 for close range big game hunting, put Moose down with it is something! And, recently, I´m getting sniper vibes with the Martensson 6,5mm, 300mts plus shots on red deer, Ibex, Boar, almost everything in Cuatro Colinas is my new normal, haha! The trajetory of this gun is so straight i got multiple heart shots with it!

I run with the .243, .338 and .22. Covers all bases but now I know why I feel like I am missing something. I used to run around with the M1 too before when I used to play. I was looking at it when I started playing again and I couldn't figure out why I ran with it over the .243. The fact it used to be ethical for coyotes and foxes makes sense as to why I would use it. Not that I ever hunt them but I like having a loadout that covers all bases

If I had to only carry one weapon it would be the 20 guage side by. I like the broomstick perk. For shotguns go to the range because the shot # is often different between guages. 20g slugs are very useful and both barrels with birdshot can take medium deer, with slugs bears. I don't know if it has been changed but I used to test double tap trophy integrity and 20 guage broomstick perk are where it's at.

In reference to your comment about "Guys you have to try handguns" In the hunter classic I always loved the 30-30 +.454 + pick a bow combo. Looks like the 30-30 keeps its class 2 where the Mosin lost it as w.ell

My favorite is the 4570 lever action because it has a class range of 4 to 9 and everything I hit went down except for one rocky mountain elk where I didn’t hit a organ and it has three rounds and a quick fire rate

i have 3000 kills with the 22 which is solely on mallards, the second they are out of range i quickly switch and the flock makes a nice shooting range

The M1 is semiauto rifle from WWII chambered in 30-06. Hence is why it performs in the game the same as the Eckers 30-06. 7MM is to dam loud in my opinion in the game.

I bought the .223 and I hit vital shots on Roosevelt Elk and track them across the map. And I have poly Ammo. What did I strive for to not track my kills so far.

i hope they add a ar 15 chambered in 556 and can use 223 223 should have better penetration and 556 be same 3 to 7

Things that bug me but not enough to really care - it is, after all, just a game (a really fun game). I'd like the M1 better if it was closer to a real M1. M1's use 8 round En bloc clips to feed the magazine and the rifle weighs in at about 9.5 pounds. It has very little lift on recoil for a .30-06 because of the weight - noticeably less than a typical 7.5-8 pound bolt action. I'm happy enough to trade off the 6-pound weight reduction for the still excessive recoil :) The .338 should be at least as accurate as the .300 Magnum - .338 Lapua is the go-to middleweight snipper round for most military and is fully capable of the job. Why they didn't make the .338 a bolt gun, I suppose, is a game mechanics thing - same with the 7mm Mag. Bolt action rifles are very common being one of the best all-around hunting rounds (at least in North America). At a guess, no one would use anything but 7mm Mag for big-game if it came in a bolt action. The .45-70 should hold a minimum of 5 rounds - my Marlin holds 9+1. Typical guide guns are 4+1 or 5+1. It's fully capable of 250-300 yards with a scope - with Iron sights, I'd stick to 125-150 max. Otherwise, the holdover gets silly. I really like the Trittium sights, and it bugs me to no end that you can't upgrade them and use a scope - no logical reason for this at all. It also needs a third ammo type - 305-grain solid copper bullet. There is a lot of data on the .45-70 used in Africa along with multiple accounts of the round penetrating completely through a bull and in one case (at least) also killing the cow that was behind it. There is also documented evidence of the round hitting what we'd call a heart shot - and penetrating all the way to the intestine. Lever actions reload faster than anything on the list except the M1, which is semi-auto. The Grelck Drilling rifle would be one of my favorites as it covers 1-9 although only at close ranges. The 16g birdshot is for 1, the buckshot 2-4, and the slugs with a bit more range cover 4-7. Finally, the 9.3x74 covers 7-9 with decent range & a scope. It is essentially a single shot even though it holds 2 shells and 1 cartridge. You can choose between rifle & shotgun on the fly (hold R). It's not a substitute but it's almost ideal for when you want to carry blinds, tents, and stands, but still at least have some chance of taking game on the trek.

id say the 30.06, 270, 300 and the hawkedge bow I do love the 10ga for turkeys and being attacked by buffalos/wolfs. I hate the 243 I dont think the 223 has enough power though they need another option really

I used almost all the guns represented in this video and with each one I got diamonds. But my best guns for me are 338 cause with this rifle I got the first predator with diamond score, 7mm with who I got my first two diamonds only after a month of playing this game past year, Vrl.22 with who I got the biggest diamond goose(8.75), 243 with who I got almost all animals of class 2 and 3, 300 with who I got a bunch of diamond of classes 8-9 including a bunch of diamond Cape Buffaloes especially a brown one, Eckers with who I got the first diamond fallow deer on Te Arowa map and many others, Hudzik. 50 Muzzleloader with who I did something that no one else did: To get a diamond Brown Bear on Medved with the Muzzleloader.

The .270 rifle I feel is the best gun for all animals

The musket will shoot very far, well for a musket anyway. I think it's a little op.

so this lady is really nice, but just so we are clear, the m1 garand rifle is chambered in 30-06 so there is no need to cary a seperate 30-06 rifle, i kow because i personaly own a m1 garand among many other rifles mine is the very rare D model.Also The 30-06 is not pronounced 30 odd 6, its pronounce 30 ot 6. Because 30 caliber projectile chambered for the 1906 springfield.

Awesome guide, thank you! I love all the weapons you mentioned, plus the Vasquez Cyclone .45. I love the cyclone because it's near-silent like the bow, but you can take longer shots more reliably. I use it to take out whitetail on my grind for the great one, and it works like a charm!

Just started the game this weekend. Was struggling a lot with long tracks even after good shots (generally just one lung because I only had the 243 and soft points), but bought the dlc with the M1, and that gun with polymer tips feels filthy. I need to see how it stacks with bigger game on other maps, but right now I can pretty much down anything immediately. Haven’t tried it on bears yet, but they were a hassle with the base gun/free ammo. Of the few I’ve taken out, only one was a perfect shot/quick kill, and I felt super proud about it. I might need to leave the M1 behind if I want to learn how to get better (p.s. no hunting experience in real life, so this game has a huge learning curve for me)

Uhhh, a pet peeve of mine is when people say "blahblah amount of bullets in the chamber"... No, you don't have several bullets in one chamber in most rifles, that would mean that they're stacked in the barrel (which would be a very bad idea to be around when the trigger is pulled). However a revolver can have several bullets chambered in the cylinder. It's the same thing when people use "magazine" and "clip" interchangeably too... Technically you can say that "it loads this or that amount of bullets" but not "in the chamber"... Just had to be said.

I swap them as I change reserve and/or hunting preferences. Muzzleloader is a beast, Cacciatore maybe the best shotgun there. I used Drilling a lot and in the next equipment exchange I will take him back - most likely. Lever actions are also very useful for shorter ranges. 7 mm Magnum - poor thing. It would be nice rifle, but Drilling weight barely more and is more universal. 7mm is murdered by developers as it has (almost) weight of the .470 NE double, while in real life it weights 2 kilograms less.

My favorite weapon is probably the .243 Not very impressive I know... But it's taken the place of the Mosin for me. Class 2-6 cover a lot of animals and with the .22 and the .300 you have a loadout that works for every single animal in the game. :)

Nyet, 270 is fine. I probably took more bison than I should with it. But I am also a weirdo that actually enjoy using the 30-30, it may be underwhelming in game but there are good reasons why the 30-30 is the cartridge who harvested more deer than any other.

The rhino, musket, .22 lr, and .45 air rifle are my usual loadouts fun mix of weapons up to about 100m or so

When you are hunting with the Muzzleloader and got a shot , Quickly swap to another gun and get back to Muzzleloader , This trick isn't 100% accurate but works sometimes so that you don't have to wait for an eternity to reload !

Standard load out for me includes the 22 ,243 because it feels strapped to my inventory for fox musk coyote and jackal,m1/30-06,300,then a fun gun muzzle,mosin,45-70 6.5 rayo or drilling

Great video but 2 things are killing me... Its not 30 ODD 6....its pronounced 30 OUGHT 6...and when u say 5 bullets in the chamber repeatedly...only 1 bullet goes in the chamber of any and all guns..so that would make the leftover 4 in the magazine and the leftover after that in your inventory...great video tho

Im a bit late but, any bow preferences? Im a beginner and don't quite understand stats and different ammo and such. Im sick trying to down a moose with 243 :) Also I tried using the first compound bow you can get, not sure abt the name, razorbear or something, and think it would be fun if I had something a bit stronger. I did get 600g ammo instead of 420g so its a bit better now. Figured it had better penetration so i took them. If anyone can explain the stats on the guns and ammo, it would help me choosing my new guns, also I'll try m1 lol
