9.3x74R was my first rifle. Now I have 10 rifles out of 17 necessesary for missions. Now my recommendation to all new players is 9.3x62 Anschultz. Must have as a first rifle.

Definitely as in Cotw most of the stuff is earned through gameplay wheres as this one you are paying real money and it would really suck grabbing something and feeling less then satisfied
The first gun I bought was the .405 lever action, which I quickly realized is only good for close-range situations due to the lack of a scope. However, the thing is a HOSS. It will drop a moose and even a water buffalo for a good range with a double lung and has a solid fire rate. Still, buy these first and only use the .405 if you want a good challenge edit: Also, this also has a 5-round magazine, tying it with the .45-70

Personally, I love the .300, you can use it for most things and will often drop them. The 340 is also a new addition for me as I was having trouble with the Water Buffalo using both arrows and the buffalo rifle. I'd aim for lungs and only get body then spend hours tracking and shooting it again, and repeating. The 340 is a godsend for me. I also never go anywhere without the Parker Python bow, with it's rangefinder scope. I am horrible at field judging distance, and I don't have the best PC to play this on, so it lags a bit. The Parker saves me from having to quickly switch from the rangefinder to a weapon when shooting a trophy animal coming at me. I don't have the reverse draw crossbow, but the ten-point works great too.
The .30R is indeed the only one I recommend. We compared on 175m targets - always aiming at the center - the .30R hits 10s dead on while 9.3x74 drops to 2s (Drilling). That's the reason why the animals dont die if you shoot over 150m, unless you aim 1/2m higher. Even the old Anschütz 9.3 - a horrible dog - performs better than 9.3x74. The .30R however - it drops practically anything no matter the distance because it goes straight like a pencil. In other words, the 30 O/U is the smart man's rifle, whereas plebs go for the highest caliber :)
Haha. I actually think I like the .30R better the more I've switched back and forth. The 9.3 has the versatility for sure, and a bit more power for the larger game, but both are good guns
This is going to be a great tool for people getting into the game! I personally started off with the 7mm Bullpup because of its ability to ethically harvest anything from Coyotes to Banteng. I also got the .17hmr because it was on sale. I am trying to get my friend into Classic, and I am going to show him this guide to start him off in the game! Thank you for the great video!

Glad you are enjoying yourself with the game :) If you ever get into small game hunting that 17 wont disappoint. I know you the .50 Pistol so that covers the .45-70 species, tho of course the rifle has way more range

My son just created an account, he got the 7mm bullpup. It was on sale but the main reason is the weight. New players only get 10 units. This gun is 3 units, as a reference the .300 is 4 units. Next purchase is a bow. Then the callers as he explores the reserves.
If you go for bobcat, just use the 243 as a beginner. for the rest i totally agree with this list. the starting shotgun is nice, but the 10ga is my fav shotty.
yea for sure, point of the 17 on the bobcat was to show that it is in fact viable on them, but the reason I recommend it is of course for the smaller creatures. And I agree, the 10 gauge is amazing :D
To be honest, i've never had any issues dropping bobcat and fox with the .17, most shots i take on fox are 200m+ shots and they always drop on the spot.
That’s because it now has the HV ammo. When Flinter made this video, it only had the other ammo. The ethical list was different then and the way it performed was also different. Now I’d say it’s the best small game rifle in the game.
I think a good choice for a beginer is the 30-06 stutzen, because it can take the scope that comes with the .243 and it can kill the same animals as the 30R, the only problem is that the bullet doesn't penetrate as much.
Adult the stutzen has a larger ethical species list, the 30R isn't allowed for coyote but it is allowed for roe deer. And stutzen is allowed for coyote-moose
So i bought the 7mm and the 340 weatherby and the crossbow first and i have to say that i never had a problem with it so I think it's also a great combo
This game is free to play and it’s currency is GM$ I have gm$ 1595 gm$ in game currency and I did play a few games with a multi player the Wulfs are alright with the gm$.

I wonder how much money you spend on Classic? I like it a lot, but the micro transactions are simply too much in the long run for me (waterbirding alone is insanely expensive).
I have the tenpoint, a pulsar and .308 anshuts. I only don't really enjoy the tenpoint but mostly because I can't carry the crossbow and the rifle at the same time so I haven't really used it much.
As much as I love this game, I think some weapons weren’t thought through by the devs. I’ve been using the .308, and it feels like it’s a .22. Anything past 50 yards or so, just gets body hits (maybe it’s just bad luck for me)

Much more powerful, but less animals on the ethical species list. I just learned earlier that it is not ethical for coyotes, so its actually roe deer - moose. the 7mm I think is coyote - Bison. But the .30 r has way more knockdown power!

Hey Flinter, im thinking about buying stuff for duck hunting, but i dont know if i need decoys for every duck species there is. I've heard that i only need 24 for max attractiveness.
Right, so 24 mallard decoys give max attractiveness on mallards and 50% on the other species, so you need 12 decoys for each of the other species (or 2 flapping wings decoys since they count as 6) I have a total of 42 floaters and 3 flappers for the maximum attractiveness on all species. 24 mallard, 6 pintail, 6 gadwall, 6 american black duck and 1 of each, pintail, gadwall, and AMD flapper
Yeah, they do. The thing of it is, I've bought like one weapon/piece of equipment per month for the last 7+ years, so I have everything, but for someone new, it looks so insanely expensive, but if you take it slow, as long as you are having fun, it's worth it
