That's nicer than I thought it would be. I'm planning to stay here in the spring, and it's good to see it's not a rough spot. I like the Best Westerns that are in old buildings. It reminds me of the Best Western in downtown Seattle, which is also a classic old building in a very central location.
There is a lift in the hotel! We stayed twice on our last trip. The upgraded suite had enormous bathroom but the king room was in the smaller side. Still plenty of room compared to European hotels from the same period, and entirely upgraded. Great location too.
I read somewhere the bathrooms are so tiny that you can barely move around? Not sure how true it is but that is making me not book the hotel. Although I love staying in Union Square.
