Where is Jeff Dujon the West Indian Wicket Keeper? He was one of the best amongst all and got many unexpected and unbelievable catches. Any video of Wicket Keeping cannot be completed without him! Appalled!!!!
Rod Marsh took a wonderful leg side catch at ground level in the tip of one glove, back in the 1970’s, I think against England. Even he was amazed that it stuck. I’ll investigate and fwd if possible.
So wayamint, where the hell is Derek Murray, Junior Murray, Jeffrey Dujon, I distinctly remember each of these individuals taking spectacular catches - all you can get is a Dinesh Ramdin catch, seriously 🏏🤔
How many catches of andy Flower's, romesh kaluwitharana's, are there and I even remember two of nayan mongia , one of taibu, one of Carlton baugh and all. But any how, great compilation👌
Sadly, maybe the person compiling the best wicketkeeper catches never saw Jeffrey Dujon, David Murray or Alan knott. I have seen some much better, harder and keepers like flying saucers.
theres a catch by rod marsh everyone forgets about...he gave a signal to lillee to bowl short, up at the throat of the batsmen, and once lillee acknowldeged it, marsh came up to the stumps. When lillee bowled it, the batsmen blocked it but marsh quikly dived around the stumps and caught the ball at the batsnens feet
These can never be the best catches in wicketkeepers history when WI keeper of the '80s Jeff Dujon is not included. Dujon took some of the best catches in wicket keeping history with some of the fastest bowlers the world has ever seen. Go check them out....
I grew up in the Marsh/Haddin/Gilchrist era. Rodney Marsh was by far the best of them. While he did take his share of 'great catches', he took many more that would not make this type of collection because they weren't 'spectacular'. He'd be where the ball was long before that, and make the look 'regulation'. His brilliance wasn't the 'speccy' catch, it was knowing where to be. For me, that made him the greatest 'keeper of all time.
Thank you for this Cornucopia and absolute feast of ‘keeper catches. The fact that you were able to show Rodney Marsh (@8:00) is testament to your researching the archives. God bless you bro.
Junior Murray of the west indies took a fabulous catch down the legside on you guys haven't highlight it at all I think you might be on the bias side of him
