@@barbouradam I'm basing it off a Headfi user who listened to both over a fairly good listening session. Each headphone has its strengths and weaknesses of course preferred the PX8. He said the Bathys had a more holographic sound, a crisper profile etc. but the PX8 had a more natural sounding timbre and and more realistic sounding instruments. I should have my PX8 tomorrow, and I hope to audition the Bathys as well.

@@thomasferrarojr.9772 Umm I might take that as a grain of salt, Px8 which is new and the bathys which basically just came and there is a comparison already?! I had the H95 and while the instruments were natural like cymbals, guitars, metalic like tuning, got ear fatigue over 2 years of using them, natural high vocals, but it wasn't my cup of tea. I enjoyed my Momentum 4 actually more and plus i could hear bad recordings. I'm actually wondering how the expensive Focals sound compare to the PX7, PX7 S2, heck even cheaper headphones like my Momentum 4.

@@rockon856 they are absolutely outstanding mate 👍🏻, I've been testing them wirelessly all of the week with my Pixel 6 Pro, and the last few days with a Pixel 7 Pro, the Sound quality they produce is so good, that I honestly don't want to take them of my head, and for me that says everything, I've tried a lot of genres and I'm blown away 👌with what Focal has done, with my other wireless headphones,( B&W P7 Wireless, B&W PX7, PSB M4U8, Sony wh-1000xm4, the Nuraphone, Amiron wireless headphone) I always had something that I didn't like either with the sound, or the Build, construction of the headphones,or the lack of noise cancelling, or the lack of Bass, lack of volume, I don't have anything to complain about here with the Focals, I feel in all honesty I could get rid of ALL, my other headphones and be Happy, and I probably will 👍🏻

@@rockon856 I will be testing out the DAC feature of the Focals on weekend with my Surface Pro 8, so I'm interested in seeing if the sound quality will improve even more with that USB DAC mode, I have previously used my Amiron wireless headphones as my main quality wireless and USB headphones, those will be kept as a secondary back up 😂 as I'm totally in love with these Focals 👌

@@rockon856I'll be pushing some higher quality files also in USB DAC mode from my Surface Pro 8, also, as most of my testing wirelessly have been with Spotify Premium, which in Australia is limited to 320kpbs track file's, and Even with those tracks the sound these Focals produce is the on top of all my other Headphones 🎧👍🏻 In all honesty I'll probably sell everything except the Amiron wireless, and these Focals 👌 hope I've answered your question 😂

Mate this is very cool to hear I’ve never owned anything in this price tier before for headphones … but I do own the Focal Twin BE studio monitors , they run off my Apple Mac Studio. Incredible . Been considering the AirPods Max headphones (still haven’t heard them) but hear they are heavy on your head .. these focals are 50 grams lighter but I’m coming from very light Sonys so not sure yet re weight and fatigue … Word is the internal battery on the focals may not be able to be replaced once it dies.. Not sure what I think about that yet 😬

We haven’t compared both head-to-head. But we don’t think you’d be disappointed with Focal.

I just bought a pair, and my research suggests they destroy 4's quite easily. ML's and B&W PX8 are good but are outclassed by Bathys.

I have the Momentum 4 and they sound pretty good when they are EQ'd. I also own the Focal Utopia, which are insanely detailed and have much tighter bass. So I imagine the Bathys are like a more detailed Momentum 4 without the need for EQ (unless you're obsessive about adhering to the Harman curve like I am).

@@SpykerSpeed Yeah I am seeing that Bathys is a no joke ANC hifi can, rather than some Bose competitor. Honestly I think they are pricing Bathys too cheap, when you consider ML are another few hundred, and Bathys are being compared to Stellia and Celestee in terms of performance, both a bit further up the Focal food chain and alot more $. Well done on the Utopia's, a better can I am not aware of, though sound is subjective, they are regarded as worlds best in many circles.

@@SpykerSpeed I'm wondering if you ever had the (original the first)galaxy Buds because that kind of sound signature Harman curve, climatic like sound except no resolution (because of the price), bright, and the vocals bright, was one of the best sounds i heard. I'm wondering if there is anything like that, sounds even better, more detailed. I have the Momentum 4 my best headphones yet coming from H95 which has a metallic like sound tuning. I'm surprised the Momentum 4 has a low price, and Focals are even triple the price and how the focals sound signature sounds like even better the bathys, and Bowers and Wilkins.

You can't unfortunately unless you plug in a wire. They sound good though except when compared with the Ananda BT

I've used them for 2 days now. I work remote and spend a good portion of my day on video calls. Everyone so far says my audio sounds great. Another big feature is the multipoint connection. I'm connected via Bluetooth to both my workstation and my mobile phone. It works flawlessly.

We’re still waiting to get the Px8 in. Once we do we’ll plan another video.

I have listened to both and from my personal perspective the B&W PX8 , where I was waiting for, are very mainstream oriented. Hard bass, good sound signature, but not the clear sound I expected, owning already the PI7. The material is amazing, they look and feel great, but is this enough for about 250 Euros more than the PX7.2. If B&W had brought the PX8 for 599 I expected, I had bought those. But after the unexpected news of Focal Bathys, I tested both with the view on sound quality. As I listen to rock and classical music, I decided to buy the Bathys. Before buying PX8 , it might be interesting to Test the PX7.2 related to the price and the Bathys related to the sound. At the end it is a personal emotion of what sounds better. The ANC and telefony is similar for both, but it is not comparable with Sony or Bose, because those are a lot better. I use my Bathys in the train and sometimes I wish me a little bit more silence from the ANC. Just for your information: I have tested with Astell Kern Cube for high fidelity sound and Samsung Galaxy Note Mobilephone with all 3 Headphones by Bluetooth connections. The DAC mode for cable connect e.g. USB C is only available with the Bathys.

You are correct. It didn’t have ANC which we noted in our written review.
