Very good. I have one of these in my Lexus RC. Works perfectly as described in this video. Purchased a second one for my wife’s Toyota Corolla. Update. Yesterday I completed a 7 hour drive in my Lexus RC using wireless CarPlay for navigation, audio and a phone call or two. Not one issue arose. It was perfect the entire journey.
@@brunoy7005 I just bought another one for my wife’s Toyota Corolla 2018 model. Works fine. Her head unit didn’t originally have CarPlay, it the software was updated by Toyota after she purchased the car.
Need it for someone disabled…would they be able to touch there iPhone music, maps, apps and it would change the car screen without having to touch the head unit?
Yes! This is the same behavior as with wired Carplay - if you set a maps destination on the iPhone for example, it will show up automatically on the Carplay display.
I just got Carlinkit today and 1sttime trying it took a lil bit to link up. Bit then it was not working properly and didn't play my music from Apple Music. Then my cars touch screens went blank. I unplugged it put it back in box and set up a return from Amazon. 👎👎
thanks for the video, how is it like when you put the vehicle in reverse? Does it switch seamlessly (automatically) or do you have to switch it back to the OEM dash to use the vehicles camera's etc?
I gotta tell you I tested both OttoCast dongle(s), and just returned the Ottocast U2 2-in-1 Wireless Adapter Android Auto and Apple Carplay dongle. Within the first 10 mins, the device had bad distortion as I was streaming Spotify. I updated the firmware as per instructions, and there was no improvement. Totally unlistenable. I'm still looking for the right one. Somebody, anybody have suggestions?
