A very well done review. I received my Icon yesterday. It is a very nice speaker. It is very easy to hold in the hand and it sounds great listening to music just sitting on my night stand. It gets surprisingly loud for its size. I'm sure two of them would sound great as a stereo set. I highly recommend.
@@A6d_l micro usb.. (but, don't charge that often.) Not a deal breaker for me. The motion+ by anker is type c its a room filling speaker. I got my icon on sale for 29.00 was a steal!
I'm looking forward to getting one of these little guys. It does sound very nice. I've got the icon mini which I really like. I think this would be good for taking outside and listening to audio books as well as music. I really like anker products. They have very nice portable batteries as well.
I borrowed my friends speaker 808 H20 to Walmart because I wanted to buy a speaker so I compared the sound with altec mini and other speakers at it size and this SoundCore Icon was the loudest.... the Sony trials were broke but there was a small Sony speaker that I didn’t test... end up buying the Icon and I’m happy with it
Thanks for the review. Purchased one for work on the night 🌙 shift! Carrying it in a safety vest comfortably... It's definitely got decent volume gain, very good bass-and it certainly can get deep sub-bass where there is resonating BASS...I listen to a wide variety of IDM/Bass Trap instrumental/Fusion/Glitch, etc...(Re: Marty Party, panty raid, Tyco, eDIT, phutureprimitive, Mimosa, etc...) Rarely, do I notice any real distortion. Only when the audio itself is "BASS-Boasted" through electronic DJ editing do I notice a little. But even large more expensive BT speakers experience this. Because that type of altered audio is for "heavy BASS" car 🚗 stereos...(re: Testing called Destructive "BASS boasted" audio...) I recommend Using RU-vid's TrapCity, or BassNation for testing audio for "BassHeads."
It’s super good sound, the best for the price, the best period. Dnt compare this to Bose Sony or more expensive stuff, this guy is quality and great sound beyond those other brands for the price! For the price!
I was gonna get a photive hydra 2 but it wasnt in store and i got this instead and mannnnn this thing is nuts very high quality for the price i love the lil bastard 😂😂😭
Thanks for the heads up on these! I love this speaker. 😀 perfect size, nice companion. Sounds great, nice bass for size. Clear audio quality. Was on sale on ebay for 29.00 was a STEAL. micro USB not a huge deal.. don't have to charge often, battery life is great. Would but again in a heartbeat. Thank you for a great review!
i just purchased one a couple days ago. i don't see how you can say that it doesn't have a lot of boom. mine has a lot of boom and carries REALLY STRONG. you must have gotten a defective one if yours doesn't have the boom and thump that mine does
It may depend on the type of music and the equalizer settings. I didn’t say it didn’t have any boom or mmph, but I found I’d adequate and enjoyable for the size of the speaker and the price. It doesn’t hit as hard as larger speakers that have more power or course, but it’s very good for this size.
Anker just released another SoundCore Icon+. This one has 20 watts of power and you can use their EQ app to customize the sound. I’ve had the first Icon+ for less than 2 months and I’m happy with it but with that said I already want to upgrade 😕
Doesn’t really compare well. The icon is much more powerful and has an overall better sound experience. The mini is good for what it is. But it’s more of a small speaker to tote around and have music in places you wouldn’t have the space, availability, or need for a larger speaker.
Solve et Coagula the volume on the mini is decent and if you don’t want to spend more money, it’s a good option for tubing I think. It will play music loins enough that you will be able to enjoy it and it won’t take up much space.
@@marouaneel8658 because I think it sounds better. I was more impressed with it and I like the lights and also the app support. The price sounds decent
good for podcast or anything with alot of vocals. just got mine and it's not for rock/metal type songs. it greatly muffles once drums and bass hits in rock/metal songs at 70-75% volume and up. f.y.i.
Yeah, for metal you need a GODDAMN NICE speaker that excels at highs, like the Motion+ or better lol, the cheapo or bassy stuff cant take it. Do you think an EQ can solve this issue ?
I don't know anything about the Tribit speaker. I've never listened to one before, so I don't want to say yes or no when it comes to making a decision on it. But, I can say that this speaker is very good.
