I have 4 of their fragrance that I truly like: Étui Noir (my favorite), Vétiver Insolent, Peau Santal, and Feuilles de Tabac. I was fortunate enough to find a travel size set for 3 of these fragrances via Jomashop. Were you the one invented this? Anyway: best in the game. Love it.

Hard to squeeze all releases from this year into a sub 6, especially with designers (and their overcrowded flankers).Surprisingly, even niche nowadays dabbles too hard with "imitation scents". The two Gritti releases this year were the biggest culprits - one dupes Xerjoff's A2, other one dupes Creed's Aventus. BUT: there were some lovely hits. Gris Charnel Extrait was a massive hit, I ranked it #1 - it took original GC, made it more masculine and offered more practicality (elite spring-summer aromatic). Nishane's Tero, a well-deserved #2. Caramel and patchouli, in equal parts, blended very well. And to me, Amouage's Royal Tobacco earned #3 as a unique standout as Amouage dabbled with the "open sweet, turn dark" profile. God of Fire from SHL - gorgeous sugared-mango, makes the profile Erba Pura made popular so much less synthetic. Some absolutely MASSIVE misses: Crystal Saffron - very prominent habanolide, scent smells metallic/ceramic and crazy synthetic. Patchouli Magnetik - when you thought Black Orchid wasn't offensive enough, so you upped the ante; BDK's Ambre Safrano - how to falsely lead somebody on by seeming great at first, but nothing in the end. Rubbery black leather. To close, I'll add a general class too: The year of the boring clean fragrance. Release after release of absolutely meaningless stuff. MFK's 724, Kilian's Kologne, Atelier des Ors' Riviera Sunrise, BDK's Villa Neroli.
