i love that your “best and worst” actually talks about the best and worst qualities of each product rather than just simply labeling each product as “good” vs “bad” 😊❤️❤️
Amanda, you make the best close up application on the tube! You can truly see the texture, the color and the way a product applies. I love it! Please never stop! 🙌🏼❤️
As someone with oily/combo skin, I just want to remind your guys that the Kosas powder has ZERO oil control quality and will NOT blot your face at all. Sometimes I even feel that my face looks MORE oily at the end of the day and I’m not that oily. So I personally feel like it’s more for the dry skin girls!
I actually have oily skin and wear euro sunscreens (shiny much...) and I LOVE Cloud Set. But! I do agree with you it has weak to almost none oil control. At the same time I feel it blends and melts my base makeup together and stays a while. It's also slightly blurring but not too perfected. I'm used to CT AFF and RBR Glorious Daylight and this is a little less blurring and perfecting. But the more I wear it the more I love it because I look nice but "effortless". To provide the littlest bit of oil control for a couple hours I really pack it on with dense kabuki, but it never looks cakey, flat or dry and dull. I prefer to look glowy and blot often than looking dry and dull (my asshat skin is also dehydrated. Fun). Plus, it's the first powder which formula I love and has the PERFECT undertone match for my yellow olive skin.
This video literally answered every possible question I had or I want to know before buying products and I have been really interested in some kosas items recently. You nailed everything! And your close up shots are another level. Before I invest in anything, this is the place I come to in order to get honest takes and thorough reviews!
I think they truly nailed the spoolie on the brow products, and the overall packaging as well! Btw I would love to know your opinion on the new Skin Realist tinted balm from Nabla :) love your channel
I’ve reached my 30s and I’m having to completely revamp my makeup collection to work with my ever changing skin texture. I’m throwing out all my old products. Your videos have helped so much with narrowing down which brands and products to prioritize. I’ve watched yours and Matilda on Video’s reviews nonstop. Thank you for your work. You’re a godsend.
You made me buy the Kosas concealer! I was going to tell you that a lot of people are getting hard pan with the Kosas powder. Not that is a deal breaker. I also know that the Kosas mascara smudges terribly on a lot of people.
I’m quickly falling in love with Kosas! I only recently tried the tinted face oil and the concealer and I love them, plus the new tinted brow gel has been a major fave so far!! I can’t wait to try the powder when I’m in need of a new one 💕
I took your word for it and bought the Kosas concealer because like you I have struggled all my life trying to find a concealer that successfully conceals my dark circles without making them look crazy dry, crepey and cakey...and I'm so glad I did, I'm blown away by this concealer! I had actually given up trying to conceal my under eyes at all because I felt the way other concealers made the area look was actually worse than just having dark circles To anyone who this issue resonates with, go out and buy this concealer! It is life-changing
I tend to lean more on the dry side as well although I use skincare for this and don’t find I have any issues with dry patches however certain products I really stay away from. That being said I have fallen in love with the HOURGLASS powder but am looking for something I can throw in my bag that can’t spill by accident. I’m dying to try this one. The MAC fix plus powder foundation is so lovely. Plays nice with my dry skin and provides coverage if that’s what your looking for. Great video.. can’t wait to try the concealer. My under eyes need something super moisturizing and this looks really promising.
if you like copper halo I think you'll really like globe! they're the most similar of all the shades and I think globe is even more of a good everyday shade than copper halo.
I think you are one of the first RU-vidrs that seems to have eyebrows closest to mine. Having such a thick, full set of eyebrows, I try to ignore my eyebrows because I don’t want to draw attention to it but don’t want to wax them or skim them down either.
Love this video we don’t have kosas in mexico so I just have to buy it twice the price so this really helped me to pick the best, also I’m addicted to RU-vid and I’ve been watching a lot of videos on the kosas powder and everybody says that the hit hard pan so I’m guessing it’s not your fault but that’s just the way the products ends Love all your videos I have oily skin but I love all your recommendations
The kosas baseline chapstick is my holy grail chapstick! All the colors are great too and actually nourishing which isn’t always the case with tinted chapsticks
I just got the concealer during the sale. Really happy they added the .5 shade for my pale pale self. I’ve only used it twice but it’s wonderful so far! It reminds me of a less dewy Too Faced born this way concealer (the original one) which was my child until it was discontinued.
I love the Kosas face oil underneath a heavier coverage foundation (where I want it) as somebody who has oily/combo skin. It gives me a nice glow without making me break out or extra oily. I do set it, but it doesn't "grab" at the powder like some dewier formulas. I think it looks great on its own for photos, but now that we're wearing masks all the time, it is not long-wearing enough for me. I also LOVE their lipsticks. I've used them for years - I've actually finished two! I hate having to wear a lip balm that doesn't add color - for me, the lipsticks are moisturizing enough to use throughout the day on their own. I also enjoyed their cream blush/highlighter, but I didn't use it up before it went bad. I really enjoyed the packaging of the cream blush/highlighter. I really want to try their concealer when I finish the one I have right now!
I recently got the tinted face oil and I have actually really liked it. It looks natural and so far it hasn't caused problems with products I use but I can see that being a big problem.
I never thought to use a brush with the 10 second eyeshadow. 😱 I just use my finger and get an all over wash that I fade out on the edges. I'll definitely have to try the brush.
Lovely video as always and I'm now interested in the clear brow gel😍 What differences there are between this and the glossier boy brow? Which one do you prefer for brows as yours? Thank you!
I have been wanting to try the clear brow gel so badly thanks for reviewing it! Also want to try some of the face products but I hate that I can’t try in store anymore
I was so nervous that the Kosas Face Oil would ruin the whole look because I've heard such bad things about it, glad the overall look was still beautiful 😊💕
I’ve only tried the concealer so far and I love it but I’m really glad that you talked about the tinted face oil because I thought about getting it. I’ll get the Mac face and body instead. :)
Thanks for such an indepth review, love your videos Amanda! I'm looking to buy the Kosas brow team products and I love a feathery brow. My brow hairs are also quite thick and dark already like yours. I was wondering if I should go with the pencil + clear gel or just the tinted gel. What would you recommend?
I love the lip oils, especially Jaws. Their lipstick is also OK, Rosewater is a sheer pretty pink. But their concealer for me is still so yellow, even with the new "cool" colors (pink undertones, hooray). I'm very interested in trying their 10-second shadows.
The tinted oil looks so beautiful on your skin! Makes me want to try it even though you don’t love it. Is there another product with a similar effect of melting into the skin that you would recommend instead?
I love their lip products especially the lipsticks and glosses, for me, that's the best I've tried...But sadly their base products are *so* yellow! I have a cool/pale skin and nothing matches me. It's not really surprising for me because I'm used to not being able to find my shade (and not every brand is for everyone). But the fact they market, on their website, their lightest shades as cool and light baffles me because it's not 😂
I agree with you on the Kosas concealer .. the formula is just lovely 💕 I bought the shade 5 it was a bit too yellow I'm more of a neutral tone. Do you know which number in the Kosas concealer is a medium neutral?
Amanda, if you didnt tried yet, could you do a tutorial of the maybelline age rewind concealer? I guess theyre nice for hollowed dark circles, they have skincare ingredients as well
Hoping to get your opinion and for others to chime in too! What do you think about the powder with the IT CC? I currently used the CT powder with it and it’s slightly too perfecting for my everyday look. I just started a retin A for anti-aging purposes, but I’m pretty oily T zone and dry cheeks. I’m not looking to completely mattifying persé, but more tie my whole face together. Thank you!! Absolutely love your videos.
FYI the Kosas skin tint doesn’t contain any silicones and it definitely doesn’t work well with any silicone-based products in my experience (e.g., many sunscreens, primers, and cream blushes contain silicones). It is gorgeous with their cream blush and highlight though. I have that in Tropic Equinox and it’s a nice blush/bronzer shade on my fair warm toned skin ☺️
Hi Amanda! Which shade of the Kosas concealer do you think is closest to the Maybelline Fit Me concealer in shade 10? I really want to try the Kosas concealer but I don't want to mess up the shade, and shade 10 of the Maybelline is a perfect match for me! Thanks!
Thanks for sharing. Their cream blush/highlighter went bad before I used it up, which has made me hesitant to repurchase. I haven't had any problems with the tinted face oil or lipsticks.
How is the Kosas Powder vs Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Powder? I feel like they look the same and I use the latter so Idk if I should still purchase the former
imo the kosas one is more hydrating and fluffy whereas the mac one is drier and has more of a matte finish (not too matte but when comparing it to the kosas one it is)
no one asked me haha but i would say they’re both pretty good, if you have dry skin i’d go w kosas and if your skin is oily the mac one. they’re very nice but in my experience (i have oily skin w a lot of dry patches) the kosas one lasted longer and looked way better. i think it just depends on your skin type bc they’re both v nice
Hey Amanda, how would you compare the Kosas concealer to the new creamy Shape Tape? Have you tried the new Tarte one? I love it but haven't tried Kosas yet
It’s 1am so my phones automatically on the night time screen yellow mode, had to turn that off as soon as I start watching this video to see Amanda’s cinematic masterpiece in its true accuracy 😌
I find the face oil looks amazing right after moisturizer but looks terrible if I apply it much later. But these days, I dot the concealer all over for light coverage.
with the mascara, it definitely smudges on me :( i’m glad i purchased the mini and not the regular size one. i love how it makes my lashes look but i hate the smudging!
I on the other hand feel like the kosas concealer feels really heavy on my skin I’m not a fan of anything feeling makeupy so if it bother you too I don’t recommend it. Finish is so nice but it’s just too heavy for me
i was going to buy the dior powder no powder and then realized that the cloud set is very similar , so now im not sure which one to get , have you tried the dior one and whats your opinion on how or if they differ ?
how does the clear air brow compare to the em cosmetics flexibrow? the latter is my holy grail, but the kosas is much more accessible to me (i’m in canada)
I tried the kosas concealer and while I like it initially after applying, throughout the day it creases so bad on me (whether I set it with powder or not). I think its the worst creasing concealer. I'm bummed because I wanted to like it and the finish looks nice, but I might be returning it if I can't make it work.
Would be cool to find some new foundations and conealers you like. The kosas concealer doesnt have any good light cool toned shades. Neither does the synchroskin foundation.
Shades 1.5C and 2.5 C of the concealer look straight up yellow on my skin. 2.5 was also too dark so I took my chances ordering 1.5 and while its the right depth it is 100% just yellow on me. It's just a little unforgivable to me for a brand to describe a product as pink and have it show up as yellow on someone who is pink.
