The real Suzie Q was the daughter of a local record label owner in Shreveport, Louisiana. Her name was Susan Lewis.

This is the first I am hearing of such a song. So this is the origin of all the "Susie Q" references I've seen and heard, such as on Star Trek:TNG. Good to finally find out. And a good song, too!
