L'homme is my favorite; La Nuit is my most most complimented; Parfum Intense is my favorite for winter; and Ultime is great for spring. Those are my top 4.
Ultime is my favorite. Perfect balance of being a unique scent that can be worn in nearly any situation. Some dumb reaches are slightly on the basic side but not Ultime in my opinion. The rose/ginger make this stand out for me.
@@keerthan4081 sorry for the late reply I just saw this. L'Homme was never a great performer but original formulation was respectable. I get about 90 minutes projection and about 5 hours longevity. New formula is about 30 minutes projection and about 3 hours longevity.

Great job! Thank you very much! My favorite is the L'Homme original. In the summer when you are sweating it becomes stronger and sweeter. My most complimented.

I really love this video MAX!. I have them all, and it is the best line of my collection, from presentation to smell. My favorites are: L’homme ULTIME, La Nuit de L’homme Frozen Cologne, and La Nuit de L’homme L’intense. All are lack of performance, unless you have 2009 formulations. I didn’t smell yet La nuit de L’homme parfum(2019) or L’homme parfum(2020), everybody hates them but I think they are alright (as a collector, I’ll probably get them 😂). Nice video, I really enjoyed it. 👍

L'Homme Intense is my current favourite scent, the sweetness is just delicious. Now it is getting discontinued, the shops here don't have it anymore. So I'd like someone who knows his scents to recommend the best replacement. Thanks in advanced!
La Nuit De L'omme has to be my favorite from this line. It was a Christmas gift in 2009 and I have so many memories attached to that scent. A few years later I added L' Homme and a few years ago I was given Cologne Gingembre as a gift. At that point, I hadn't heard of Cologne Gingembre and was pleasantly surprised. I always appreciate a gift, especially when it's a nice fragrance. Always enjoy the videos Max, continued success as always.
The original L'Homme is 14 years old, The Original La Nuit is 11 years old and they have never released a better flanker than those 2 originals. Both are in my top 10 favorite fragrances of all time. You are right about Gingembre. Scentswise an amazing scent but it's the weakest fragrance i have ever owned.
Awesome video. So good to see so many of these at once. I have 3: L'homme, La Nuit de L'homme and La Nuit de L'homme Le Parfum. Love them all and am currently looking to add Ultime.
Fantastic reviews on each of the YSL fragrances. My favourite's from the house would have to be The original la nuit de Lhomme and the la nuit de L'homme Intense version which has much better performance than the reformulated version. From the L'homme line up the Original L'homme and the L'homme Parfum Intense. 👍
L'homme is soo good but la nuit is the king in this line. Cant wait for the 2020 release! Maybe la nuit will be dethroned in my personal ranking. Nice vid

Great video, Max! As someone quite new to the fragrance game, I’ve been looking for something just like this to review the entire YSL line of L’Homme and LNdL. I only wish I was in the game sooner so I had an older version of LNdL. I would love to see a video like this about the Armani Code line.
I remember getting Ultime as a gift for Christmas from my mother. I was ticked off because it didn't last very long on my skin.I took it back and traded it for YSL Y(Eau de Toilette),another dud for me. It didn't last very long.I kept it though.Great video.
Did you miss the ysl la nuit de l' homme EDP? And the ysl ultime and sport are stil available in the Netherlands. A 60ml goes from 73€ to €88. Great Gbu !! Thanks!!
Im a huge YSL fan , the house definitely does great things . I would love to see a GBU on the likes of YSL Cafton , Caban, Tuxedo ...would be tough cause there all good..I own them and it be good hearing your thoughts on them....thanks as always.
I own the original L'Homme, La Nuit, Ultime, and Eau Electrique. My favorite is La Nuit, with Ultime being a close second. I remember smelling L'Homme Parfum Intense, and I instantly fell in love with the smell. I never purchased a bottle because of complaints about it's performance. What kind of performance do you get with it Max?
Hey Dan, thanks for sharing your faves. I get decent performance with it, I have an original 2013 bottle but I know it has been reformed, not sure what the performance is like these days...
I was expecting to hear about the la nuit l’homme edp (dark red bottle flanker, 2019 version). I like it because of its leather note on the top of original la nuit DNA and it’s better than the original in term of performance.
I didn’t realize there were so many flankers for L’homme. I have La Nuit Del L’homme from 2016 and I think it still works wonderfully for me and is my favorite.
Great review of the incomparable YSL lineup. Maybe surprisingly I prefer YSL Ultime. It has an addictive, masculine, sexual quality that I keep coming back too. La Nuit de L'homme EDP is also excellent and unique and great for date nights. Really appreciate your insight.
La nuit de lhomme le parfum is by far the most underrated not only in the line but fragrance in general ever.. thanks to George from the fragrance apprentice put it out onto the map for us I’m forever in debt to him👏
Just one tip. It would be even better if this very detailed analysis included the information which of the perfumes is unisex, or which a woman could possibly wear, since I am a woman and I like to look at your recommendations. Just an idea. Great video anyway. My suggestion for the next GBU - Paco Rabanne - 1 million..I didn't see it anywhere (including collector's editions. I always wondered if there was a difference between them). Stay safe
You forgot Eau dEte 2007 frosted bottle & 2008 Eau d Ete blue bottle. Have most. Need Eau Electrique, Sport, frozen cologne, la nuit l'intense & l'homme parfum. Great one buddy. JR xox
Olá Max, excelente resenha, parabéns. Tenho o L'homme Intense, La Nuit de L'homme e o L'homme Libre. Eu nem sabia da existência da maioria dessas fragrâncias. Acredito que as lojas comercializam somente as fragrâncias que possivelmente tem mais aceitação do público. Com o dólar em alta as importações ficam mais limitadas, principalmente no Brasil, onde a perfumaria é considerada artigo de luxo. Faça uma resenha com perfumes italianos que você mais gosta e recomenda. Abraço fraterno. Best regards.
I have al the flankers, even the very rare L'Homme Eau d'été 2007 and L'Homme Eau d'été 2008 editions. No need to say I am a huge YSL fan. My favourites are L'Homme Libre and L'Homme Ultime. With all special editions, and earlier older batches included I have 83 bottles. It's a shame I can't post a pic here.
Max - you are VERY knowledgeable! I just got L'homme which I LOVE even more than La N'uit de L'homme and is my favorite. In your opinion is there anything in the collection better than L'homme? Thanks!
The UGLY and BAD THING about most of the line is projection and longevity. Cologne Blue is the worst one in terms of originality/projection. The GOOD (and underrated) : L’Homme Sport , Eau Éléctrique and L’Ultime they have decent projection (4-6hrs) and even better than La Nuit de L’Homme. To be honest, when L’Oréal acquired YSL Parfums it started going downhill on quality ... but I still like the GOOD ones mentioned .
Completely agree Sergio, that's a common issue (performance and brand acquisition) which normally means more mass-produced items and dozens of redundant flankers! 💯

Few months ago I was lucky to buy 2x 100ml bottles of Frozen Cologne just for 48€ /btl. as a tester (with cap). For me it's a great replacement for current Lanuit de L'Homme wich has shitty performance nowadays. Frozen Cologne is very close to the original and lasts pretty long time - at least as long as Le Parfum. For that kind of money it's a steal. And Libre - yeah, very nice and different.
Hello, I think YSL Libre Tonic is unique and one of the best cologne and its not similar with Libre . I have a complete collection, I noticed that you do not have 2 flankers L'Homme Eau d'Ete (almost white bottle) exactly from 2007, and L'Homme Eau d'Ete Summer Fragrance 2008 (blue bottle) - they are both great and a bit different. For me best from YSL is the La Nuit De L'Homme Le Parfum 2010.
I have quite a few of these with back ups in my drawers and I have to say the la nuit de lhomme le parfum in black bottle is the best for me. But if you layer this with the original. Them mmm mmmm, the new 2019 parfum is really nice to. Very harsh top notes but soon settle.
i work in paint cleaning division. aftet shower i put some unscented lotion all over my body. then put on 1 spray of the o.g lhomme on my chest. then went to work. we have our gear on against paint and i put small fan on my work suit. and somehow the air is exhausting via my neck and my female co worker smelled it and grab my work suit and smell my neck asking if its me.
I only have a 2017/2018 LNDH and I love it. Running a little low, will definitely repurchase this year. Would like one I could wear year around. What others would you recommend?
