Ich liebe solche alten Traditionen und Rituale. Sie waren seit jeher in der Kaiserfamilie üblich, darum sollten sie auf ihre Familientradition nicht verzichten, nur weil sie nicht mehr regieren!
@@MrQsu Du hast Recht! In einem anderen Bericht erwähnt der Ordensmann, dass es keinen Beleg dafür gab und dass dieses Ritual für Zita´s Beerdigung gewünscht wurde. Trotzdem ist es ein schönes Ritual! Sollte beibehalten werden - nicht nur für diese Familie sondern generell "... eine arme Seele"!
@@MrQsu Nö, das Ritual hat sich mit der Zeit entwickelt und wurde in genau dieser Form, mit genau diesen erstmals bei Zita dokumentiert. Die Einlasszeremonie als solche gibt es schon wesentlich länger

He could have saved his beloved country from Hitler when the Anschluss happened in 1938. Instead, he sought refuge in the United States, and would not return to Austria until the early 1980's.
Also, ich komme aus Krakau und erinnere mich nicht, dass die Menschen dort ihn irgendwie gewählt hätten. Ich bin dann Fürstin von Steiermark, weil es mir so gefällt.
auf das habe ich 6 stunden lang gewartet während ich das Requiem sah! Neben der Kaiserhymne war das eindeutig der spannendste und bewegendste Moment! Ruhe in Frieden!
Otto hat ein trockenes Humor Sinn! Einmal, in ein Interview, er war gefragt, "Was werden Sie für Vorschlag haben für die Name eines Europäischen President??" Sein Antwort war, mit ein kleines Lächeln, "Die Name, 'Habsburg" ist nicht total unbekannt!!" Ein sehr nettes Man u. humanisches Mensch!! (Von ein Engländer!!)

Oliver H ein echter Europäer ! Wir hier in Bayern waren froh dass er 20 Jahre für uns im EU-Parlament gehockt ist. Er hat wirklich das repräsentiert was die Doppelmonarchie auch für mich immer repräsentiert hat. Vertrauen in einen Vielvölkerstaat und Stärke durch Vielfalt. This ceremony reminds us that even great titles or achievements of individuals are meaningless after death, and everyone should be humble in front of our almighty God. 🙏

@pendragonU Dear friend! I got what you mean! But that´s not the point! Austria has been officially existing for about 1000 years and 90% of this time The House of Habsburg ruled it. Including ALL GOOD and ALL BAD. We just say "Good Bye" to a wonderful and democratic person, who also tried to bring past, present and future together. With all the respect he deserves.

RIP a good and most honorabl eman. What Austria did to him and his family disgraceful. They should have still been able to have maintained their royal titles and could have been like the British monarchy al figurehead.

Austria is not Germany. And atleast we have a long history to be proud of! Tradition is not about worshipping the ashes, as you make it look like, but about passing the torch. In my oppinion it was a beautiful and very meaningful ceremony. he didn't enter as a ruler, but as a simple man...
austria is a german tribe ...its origin is from the bayern, if you look to the west we have the origin of the alemannen too a province which is called vorarlberg. We share a long history with all the german tribes, look at the holy roman empire of the german nation which we ruled for over 400 years. our biggest counterpart was the prussian of the north of germany, we even had a big war against them at the end of the 18th century ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_of_the_Austrian_Succession ) about 60 years later napoleon came and made a new order in europe smashing the old aristocracy. the holy roman empire disapeared and austria was not part of the unified Germany what appeared afterwards. after the fall of the HRE it didn t matter so much to join the rest of germany because austria gained land by its extension to the east and southeast through the collaps of the ottoman empire. and i guess that was complicated enough to rule all this nations at a time when nationalism rises ... we know what caused WW I but yes tecnically and culturally speaking we are germans but also with a strong influence of our friendly slavic, italian and hungarian neighbours. everything is very complicated. but yes we have our own culture and way of thinking. and yes thats why we are different. but to be honest... its not a big difference ;) ... its as different as the variations among the german provinces them self ;)

Its not about your personal feelings and recognition. He was in fact the heir to the throne, who saw his father and mother rightfully crowned in the Mathias church in 1916, and he was regarded as such by many in Hungary until 1949, when the communists took over. The fact that his father’s traitorous admiral who came to power by force and illegally ousted the royal dinasty is absolutely irrelevant.

Hebert Davis dude you know that Otto von Habsburg was one of the greatest Europeans to ever live right ? Firm belieber and founder of the European Union. Always fighting for Freedom and Equality. Never forgetting of those in need. A staunch enemy of Nationalism. Beloved not only Austria but in all of Europe. He represented the best of Europe and advocated for Democracy. What you are trying to put up here is a disgrace to both Europe and to this great mans legacy. Maybe read a book sometimes instead of twisting history and insulting such great people !
