The whole episode 4 with Floor Jansen as headguest is great. All the songs especially performed for her are great for your comments.

Tim had with Direct a huge hit with the song "Inside my head". After Direct his first thig was a song with some hiphop artists with the song "Ik wacht al zo lang". Other beste zangers you should watch, I love Tommie Christiaan. He did a fantastic version of the song "Caruso", he did the song for an opera singer with who he also did the duet Barcelona (Freddie Mercury) which was a highlight of that season.

Tim Akkerman also did a great version of "dear mr. President" in that same year of Beste Zangers. Worth listening to!

Beste Zangers: Karsu. She is brilliant. Our Dutch/Turkish heroine. She did a incredible moving song after the Turkish earthquake where she lost family and friends. (Neredesin Sen (Where Are You) She's such a great person and every song on best zangers is a gem (she even did a Dutch country song about driving as hard as you can (especially over speed bumbs ('and de kant' (Get away !) :)

Watch Beste Zangers 2021 with Anneke van Giersbergen, the godmother of Dutch metal. Also a revelation Karsu (half Dutch and half Turkish) sings in Spanish Hijo de la Luna. And Bókkers of course a rocker from eastern Netherlands with a big voice. Some great duets e.g. Karsu and Belle Perez sing Je Suis Malade by Laura Fabian where karsu channels her anger about her recent break up). And of course Alides Hidding from world wide performing band The Time Bandits doing a song for and from Bo'kkers in an Eastern Duch dialect with a great guitar solo as icing on the cake. And then Roel van Velzen who is actually reponsible for the idea of the turning chairs in world wide tv hit The Voice. He didn't want to be just a judge on the umpteenth singing competition so he was about to turn the offer down but suggested he would be interrested if it could only be about the singing talent and not the looks and/or the X-factor. Another revelation is Joe Buck who wrote a wonderful song about the brother he never met and the grief of his parents about the loss. Another little rabit hole to get lost in 😀

Tim's version of pinks mr president is a great one

I really liked what he did with it. He sounds a little like a young Bob Seger, but it has that sort of post-punk raw energy and tempo. I could imagine this going over big at Warped Tour back in the day...

Loved this version! It suits him! However, i get that it's way different from the original, but hey that's kind of the idea of the show 😉🎶 Hope you will do more BZ! So much to explore! Havent heard of a new season yet though ...

I've watched several reactors talk about how well such a show as Beste Zangers would do in the US .. and I have to agree that it would probably not go over that well. I think that the obsession to better the other .. glitz at the expense of art would mean the show would have too much damn over the top crap .. ratings over art.

Although I think Tim did great with his interpretation of Nemo, I can imagine that for the purists out there it's a little hard to embrace this sped-up rendition of it. I'll have a look at William's new channel. I know how hard it is to get some traction, as I've been trying to reach an audience with my own newly created YT channel (mainly enhanced reuploads of music I like to listen to). Buster is a good companion, such a sweet dog. 🐕🐿🌳

Tim has a good voice. Personally I think taking this at such a speed loses the emotion of the original song and leaves little space for nuance Nevertheless, bravo for trying to cover Nightwish! Best to Jeff...
