SCAMMER ALERT: I have some scammers pretending to be me in the comments and asking people to message them on WhatsApp, this is not me and please do not message them! My course is now live and available for purchase but will ONLY be available on my official website Cassiyjohnson.com. Stay safe
Love your videos, For me learning Etsy is like learning a new language. I'm a 73 year old -fart, and I'v never done anything as creative as creating designs in my life.
Omg, she said, "without having to watch 1000 RU-vid videos..." 😭😁😂Cause yeah, that's kinda what's happening. Lol. Signed up immediately. Thank you so very much!
She's the best. I have looked into about 5 or 6 others on RU-vid and no one comes close to Cassiy and her style of teaching. She is brilliant, easy to follow and learn from. Plus, she is super nice too.
You're so thoughtful, Cassiy. You're so encouraging and always thinking about the roadblocks for those entering the POD arena and showing how to overcome them.
Thank you! The days I don’t feel as motivated I listen to you and you always inspire me. You are full of love and kindness. Your energy is beautiful. Thank you for sharing your skills xx ✨⭐️🙌🏻
I think the big concern with simple text for and Best Seller supporting evidence is that there is more to selling a shirt on Etsy. (Quality score, SEO, Advertisement, Social Media impact, age of shop/listing, number of reviews) As a new seller, it is hard to see more than the best seller tag and the data that Everbee and other tools present.
I'm looking for a career change, the automotive industry has taken its toll on my body, and my quality of life just isn't there. POD has given me hope. I just need to find some time to learn the software and start creating some designs.
I watched another POD video where the person said that you can only use creative fabrica fonts whilst you're subscribed, if you unsubscribe you have to stop using their fonts. Is that true?
"I am proud of you," thanks for your love and support! My shop has been open for 9 months with 1 sale. I think I have been approaching it the wrong way. Thanks!
Love your tutorials. Your teaching style is so informative and calming. I just wished you taught Shopify and Pinterest. I don’t even do POD nor Etsy but I’m always hoping I can pick up a tip that would apply to the other platforms
Hey you do you but for only $10 to have 50 chances to be in front of the exact customer that is already coming on Etsy to look for that product, I'd say that's well worth the investment for me. Even if only two people buy one of those 50 listings, then you already paid off those listings for the 4 months. But hopefully a lot of them sell and even a few of them take off and get lots of sales. Posting this many just helps you to learn and test things a lot faster.
You can totally get sales without ads but it usually takes a few weeks like 4-8 for your listings to really start gaining traction. On top of that, usually our first listings aren’t our best. I’d keep designing, listing and trying new things until you get that first sale! You’ve got this! But it’s not a you just list stuff, wait and sales will come game. Hope this helps!
When working out shipping, can I trust Printify’s basic shipping quote will cover the whole length of the USA? I don’t live in the USA and have no knowledge of shipping prices or companies. At my home, weight and distance affects costs. The further it’s transported the more costly the freight. So I worry that if I use the base shipping cost shown when looking at Printify’s catalogue, and the customer is located several states away from the chosen printing factory, how it might affect the projected cost of shipping and how to work that in an Etsy sale if offering free shipping. Hope this makes sense. 😅
Normally that's how shipping works here in the US as well but no, they are just giving you a flat rate for every single sale in the USA! You can count on them that this is all you will ever be charged for!
Hey, Cassiy! Thanks for sharing this valuable info. I'm all geared up to kickstart my very own POD Etsy shop. The burning question on my mind is whether I can enlist Printify as my Production Partner. I'm curious because Etsy's policy explicitly mentions that contractors or agents who outsource production cannot serve as production partners, and that's precisely what Printify does. Many thanks in advance for your assistance!
Thanks Cassiy for this video! So far, my graphic design shirts sell way better than the text only shirts. I now know why - it's because my font choices are bad, LOL! I will have to go to creative fabrica and use one of the suggested font duos. 😂😂
Cassiy I would like to PM you about your course. I've been on MERCH for about 2.5 yrs and have an Etsy store selling one item that just became a star seller. Need to see if this is right fit for me. Thanks. Rene
Thank you! I’m trying to drum into my brain to keep it simple! Edit: Someone just favorited one on my designs on Etsy! It’s the most mind numbingly simple one I have too but I guess it’s true that simple sells! 😂
Hello Cassiy. Would love to take your course, however unemployed for the moment. You offer 2 payment options. Would you possibly be able to split up the cost of course to 4 payments versus 2? Just luv ur content! And you are so kind for giving us all kiddos. 🎉❤
With good research of what people are already buying on Etsy, then using good keywords in my title and tags, and then sometimes also Etsy ads to boost them faster!
Thank you so much for your the excellent video! Could you please guide me on selling customized print-on-demand (POD) products? I would like assistance with setting up my Etsy shop and integrating it with Printify for customizable listings.
How do you have enough credit to cover purchases. Especially like the 100k month you had? This freaks me out a little bit. Afraid to go in the hole. So to speak. Also, is your profit margin after federal and state taxes taken out?
Cassiy, I have so much trouble downloading fonts! I thought I was supposed to look for an otf file, but the one I just downloaded doesn’t have an otf?! Help!
Starting a tshirt/ hoodie shop do you know of guides on the placement of the design on a tshirt or tips on how do have your designs look good on tshirts ( we are using Canva and using 4500x5400 template but we ordered a sample of one of our designs and it came back huge on the shirt?
Hi Cassiy, thank you for this video. You suggested looking at memes for inspiration. Do you mean the words in that meme or a picture has to go along with it as well? Thank you.
Thank you for all your video’s . I have been trying to do all that you say to do. I plan on buying your course as soon as I can. I only have 10 shirts in my store so far and a lot of questions . So I can’t wait to be able to talk to you about them. Of course the only sales I have so far is from my mom and it’s only been up for 2 weeks so far . Reading some things other ppl are saying in the fb groups are making me second guess if doing it is a good idea tho. Could you do a video about creative fabrica if your allowed to just use a graphic even if u pay and have license ppl are saying on esty u still have to make ur own d era ign you can’t just use a graphic that you didn’t make yourself and I don’t want to get into trouble
Hey sis, I sell Digital Downloads that are only 2 to 3 dollars. Would you run any ads on these items? P.S thanks for all your advice! it has really helped me a lot!!
Cassiy, I am a new subscriber and plan to open my Espy Store soon. Question: I am a wildlife and animal photographer and want to know how well Printify does printing digital photos on shirts? Thanks, Steve
I believe I heard you mention something about erasing some of the font when weaving them. I'm having a hard time locating that tool in my Canva Pro. I have an image that I would love to erase just a small part, but I can't find the erase feature and I can't find that tool in help, internet, etc.
Thank you Cassidy! I’m a subscriber to creative Fabrica and didn’t even realize that they had duo fonts lol! I need to stop over thinking, and jump in!
It is definitely hard to know which fonts fit together well so it was nice to be reminded there are font duos....some of them I already had downloaded, I just simply forgot they went together.
Thanks Cassiy another amazing video! Question for you, do you use watermarks on your listings? Ive heard some sellers do some dont, to try to minimize stealing of listings and posts. What would you suggest? Ive seen it only on about a few listings or half, some sellers do ALL listings. Suggestions?
In this video about tips for using fonts in your Etsy shop, the speaker, Cassiy Johnson, recommends using font duos, which are two fonts that are designed to work well together. She also recommends using fonts that are easy to read and that will look good on a variety of products. Some of the specific fonts that she recommends include: Pink Vibes Mismatched Socks Good Vibes Only Duo Font Romantic Spring Tomato Kitchen Marshmallow Duo Font Alyssa She also recommends using a variety of fonts to keep your designs fresh and interesting. In addition to font recommendations, the speaker also provides tips for adding value to your designs. She suggests trying to turn your designs into matching shirts, or using a completely different saying for the same niche that everyone else is selling. She also recommends checking your trademarks before you post anything like that on a shirt. Overall, this video is a great resource for anyone who wants to learn more about using fonts in their Etsy shop. The speaker provides a lot of helpful tips and recommendations, and she is also very enthusiastic and encouraging.
Thank you for putting out such great content. Thanks to your videos, I took the leap of faith to post my first product this month and got my first three sales a week after. That's enough proof that this is possible and to keep going! I will definitely invest In your course.
Congrats on getting started and getting those first few sales!! Kudos to you for putting the work in. So excited to hear more about your journey as you grow your business!
Hi . Thanks for the great info. Plz make some videos on how to organize personlized and group listings in printify when you got multiple orders of group type listings. Do we need to make separate product for every costomer in printify.
Hey Cassiy. I have a question I wanted to ask you advice on something. Is it OK to post here ilor is it possible to message you please? Thanks in advance. 😊
Thank you Cassiy! Your videos have been so helpful and Im so happy and grateful I found you! I have a question for you, when checking for trademark words or phrases, if the word Im looking for shows up but not exactly as Im going to use it on my designs, can I still use it? For example, Im using IM BRAVE, and when I looked that up,TODAY IM BRAVE, showed up. its not the same so Im not sure if it is safe o use. Again, thank you so much for each one of your videos and share your knowledge with us newbies!
Im looking forward to this because I have some good humourous "sayings" / quotes / which I have thought up that go with various interests / niches and this is a beginning that I need. Things just pop into myhead and I need to get them down on clothing / mugs / whatever.
Aw I just really love how encouraging and helpful you are. Excited to watch and learn more! I'm going to try some of these duo fonts and mess with the matching ideas!
Hi Cassiy, This video is just what I was looking for. I had this question in my mind for a couple days and then you just made this video, lol!! Thank you! I have another question. Is there a way to change your prices all at once instead of one by one? I was able to change all my prices at once but then had to adjust the prices for the different sizes one by one.
I usually use just the bulk editor on Etsy to bulk edit all of the prices to change by a certain dollar amount or percentage, and this changes each of the sizes equally. But I am trying out a new software called Evlista.com that will let you change certain sizes or things about your listings instead of all of the sizes. I don't have any videos about them yet but feel free to check them out yourself as well!
Thanks Cassiy! I definitely have been overthinking (and overspending time) on some of my designs. I've been following all your homework and startup tips, did my research, used Everbee for tags etc, and now have 15 tailored designs where I added value and made them different from the rest on Etsy. I'm really happy with the designs, but unfortunately no sales yet. I'm keeping at it though and trying to stay positive. Thanks for the end of video message btw, I really needed that. A few days ago, I had a pretty rough day, to keep it simple. Looking at my Debt and some of the other challenges going on right now. I really want to make this work, so I can build something for my family, and have more free time to spend with them. I have two kids (21 months and 2 months). They are my life! I just want to make them proud. So thank you again for all your amazing videos, guidance and kind words! Have a great day Cassiy!
Keep going. I’m in the same situation with a baby and I have to find time (usually at night) to design,… I just got my first sale after 3 months. We can do it.
@@huonghoang8412 Congratulations on your first sale! That is awesome!! Let's keep the momentum going! Yeah, after I put my kids to bed, night time is my design time as well usually. Congrats again and have a great week!
@@joncalleri1587 thank you so much. I gave up so many times but this time I have to try my best. I hope you will get sales soon! Have a nice week to you too !
Cassiy, I'll add my 2cents here along with everyone ...you have made such a difference in my life! I have been taking your courses and following your advice. I would NEVER be where I am now without your wonderful videos. I'm older -- soon to be 64...and would like my shop to help fund my retirement in a few years. I don't have any real sales yet but feel that this will soon pay dividends -- how cool would it be if I could quite my job sooner and retire? I hope you receive many blessings from the Universe for all the help you provide. Much love, Daria
Thank you for the suggestions! I often over think choices as a beginner. When selecting print providers, does it make more sense to use the same one for both Tees and Swestshirts so that you save on shipping if someone orders multiple products? Even if you have less color options or higher cost with only 1 provider? What are peoples opinions on this? Thanks!
Hi! Thanks for the great info. I'm having issues with print only designs looking pixelated in canva & even worse when imported to printify no matter what resolution/size I make them. It says my design is high resolution in Printify but it looks weird - jagged edges along the outside of the letters (especially if I use outline). It doesn't happen when I do a design with graphics & text - only when it's text only designs (I'm guessing because its so zoomed in maybe?). Have you had this problem or any idea how to easily fix it? I've searched & see pixelated text is an issue with canva but the solutions offered don't seem to really fix it & they aren't in a format that you can use in Printify anyway...i really hope you can help me figure this out 🙂🙏
Cassiy, I am watching your free classes on your website (as well as here on youtube) and I just want to thank you for being so generous with your time and knowledge. I have watched sooo many videos, and you have really helped me streamline my thoughts and direction. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! When I start making money I will definitely be checking out your paid program. xo
Thanks Cassiy, Your information is well taken by me. You enlightened me so much with this tutorial and How to make 100 Designs in 1 Hour, I thoroughly enjoyed your videos
There are 6 ruling fashion styles, minimalist-elegant, sensual, maximalist, romantic, naturalistic, creative-dramatic. Based on these styles, people take their preferences, but in a world that thinks there is only one way to be elegant these, this things happen
Thank you so much for all your great info! I only wish I could I could afford your course! Lol. I’m just gonna have to keep fumbling along and making mistakes! ;)
