Thank you for reviewing these more basic more affordable lights. It took me a few autoflower runs to get an sp250 and a p2500. I have a 4ft by 8ft area. Slowly but surely I’ll light it all up. Thanks Shane your one of a kind.
This design is so much better than the one they revised it with. They made it alot cheaper, I recently bought one, i was expecting that cool hanging mechanism instead they just changed it to a cheap clip that doesnt hang very well, it also doesnt look like a Meanwell driver anymore too.
Hi all, please note the efficiency result I posted is correct but the PAR map is not (I posted the Atreum Hydra chart by mistake). I have posted the correct Bestva PAR chart on the RU-vid channel community tab.
Hello Shane don't know if the Picture of the PAR map is wrong or if you did a calculation mistake but according to the PAR map on screen the average is 668 calculating to 2.27ppfd/w. Happy 420
As always top marks Shane. Thank you for your continued work here on RU-vid. Out of curiosity what seedlings light would you suggest currently in a 2x2 ?
Unfortunately these lights don’t use all LM301B (5000K only) diodes and do not use Meanwelll drivers. However, I have 2 of them and they are impressing me so far. Thermal taped the two ends of the lights so they join evenly and look like one 4x2 light.
What would the power rating be if the efficiency were 100%? Micromoles per watt sounds like very little energy is actually being turned into photons and I wonder what the real potential for improvement is.
love your approach and your honesty when it comes to your competitors products is a real eye opener as honesty is hard to find in a business enviroment, i wish you more success and fortune, God Bless You and Happy 420!!!
hi MIGRO, have you ever tried to verify or comnpare this results with others? Its remarkable how bad the efficiency is in your test. Maybe something went wrong in the test? I just cant turn my head around how inefficient it is with this top notch diodes. Its just not possible its worse than the Viper Spectra P1000. Its less than 100 dollars which is very unusual for this hardware, but its still 301B and it should have more than 2.00 in any case.
Couldn't find The Apogee Meter? And the "program" that gives a spectral range graph, and which % of each light, etc, on your phone? Still, great video Shane! Could the lower than expected efficiency be from the spectrum? Much blue, with some Strange red, high and low points on that end of the spectrum they presented in their catalog?👍💜🙏
Always enjoy your PAR tests & reviews. Thanks! Picked up the Migro Aray 2. I noticed a WiFi controlled light called Groplanner by Hyperlite. If you get one would love to see your take on it.
Yo its because guys like you we will have the best grow lights out there and hopefully these companies are listening. And not just trying to get free advertising if they are listening. The led light companies will close the gap between them and even the cheapest lights will be worth there weight Thanks Again
and another great video, thx for the honest reviews Shane!! would you be looking at any of the AGLEX fixtures in the near future there bud? some of the new models look pretty nice and im interested to see if the numbers they are publishing are close to real world performance......
Noticing a MASSIVE improvement in production quality of your videos as of late Shane, keep it up! BestVA seems to have knocked it out of the park aesthetically, taking ViparSpectra's lead, and producing an even more highly polished finished product. I am curious however wether the enclosed driver will be affected by heat compared to the exposed drivers of the competition. Longevity is key in my opinion, and although the components are quality, the sexy design may be a flaw instead of a selling point. Very cool looking rig though!
Thanks again bro we always appreciate the info happy 420 to everybody and I was wondering if you heard anything about the optic slim 650 s LED grow light sure could use some feedback thank you have a great day
Can you test the updayday 4000 I have one and they are a nice light so far but I don’t have all the fancy meters like you :) happy belated 420 can’t wait to use my migro uvb this grow Too ;)
What happend to the other kind of music i had on the channel? That kinda space electronic bizarre sounds. I loved it! Please make it better for my own personal entertainment. 😄👍
any chance you would do a review on a grow light its a koscheal 600w led not the blurple one the normal one its on amazon its a great light be cool to know what it puts out.
I have the older model of this exact light. Anyone know how many watts they give off in each of the modes? I used to use red and blue in flowering with CFL. But I feel like having both switches on in flower would be too much?? Anyone...?
Love the review but...Damn people spend so much on leds, i won't pay more then .70 a watt. bloom plus/maxsisun and other china lights work just fine and you might get 2 lights for the price people pay for 1 of these lights. people with deep pockets always shock the hell out of me with how they buy things but something tells me these types of people get the newest phones every 6 months :o
It's not true, i am EXTREMELY stingy and i'm not rich, but i would still pay a bit more for a good light. And i don't even buy phones, i'll get a second-hand phone for almost free and use it for many years until it's broken. I want a good light because i want to have good results, i don't wanna spend 2-3 months growing and investing only to have a disappointing result. I spend so much money on buying weed from the streets, and it's not always good. So why not spend that same amount of money on a good equipment? In my opinion you should save money on other equipment and get everything cheap except the light itself. The light is the last thing you want to get cheap. It already sucks that the only lights that most of us could afford are Chinese lights, so why would you buy the bottom of the bottom? At least get the best you can. Even the popular Chinese brands are not reliable, they always pump the numbers higher than they are, they always make some manufacturing mistakes, they're not always great at customer support etc. I can only imagine the bottom brands are even worse. I don't want to risk it and waste time. I don't want my light malfunctioning in just few months of use. I want something proven and reviewed so i can compare with others, get help and advice.. If you can afford testing and experimenting unknown lights, good for you. And in my experience, if you buy the cheapest thing possible, eventually it will disappoint you and you will be forced to buy the more expensive thing. So now you will have to spend even more money for nothing, could've just go for the better one in the first place. And lastly, not everyone has access to good cheap lights. For example here in Europe it's damn hard to find a good cheap light like in USA. The shipping costs from Amazon cost more than the light itself! We are forced to order from Aliexpress or some other websites and they are expensive. In my country the VAT rate is 25%, and if i would order from USA i would also have to pay customs and wait for a long time. In my country the minimum LED light you can get is a 200w for 350-400€ and it's just average. So it's more economical to buy these other lights for the same price and better specifics.
I am getting ready to do another run, i havnt in a few year. I am wanting to get 2.4m x 2m x 2m tent i used to use mh n hps but wanting to go leds but just starting to research. i wanted to see if i can fit 27 in total 3 lights, 9 under each in say 7.5l final pot size, does anyone have any recommendations on some good leds to get that can be set for veg n flower period and also what watt would be best, not looking to pay over £300 per light if pos? any advice would be great.
