Was all that really necessary? I mean, did they tell you to tell everyone all that as well before telling them. Maybe just tell people what you think without all that. Use the normal filter setting so you are filtering what you vacuum up. Then when you finish vacuuming that's a good time to do a 1 minute backwash and 30 second rince cycle.

Would the circulate be the best for the solar heater? On the normal play setting the flow is much lower than without the solar heater.

Hi thanks for the videos very informative. I have my best way pool setup with the thermal panel. The gauge on my filter reads at nine psi and I tried searching what it Hass to be and I seen I have to be below 6.5 psi. I tried backwashing and rinse but still did not work.

What pressure is you pump running at with the solar heater hooked up? Mine is running at 10psi. In the manual it says it should be under 6.5psi. I've already backwashed and rinsed multiple times.

Yeah. mine tends to run higher. I think because of the solar heater resistance.

Backwash stirs up and cleans the sand. Rinse helps settle the sand after backwash. Gets it ready to filter again

Before hooking up the solar pad, I noted that the filter pressure was approximately 4.2 and the instruction manual said it should be under 4.5. After connecting solar pad, the pressure gauge went up to 6.1. Should I now assume that the new threshold for back wash and rinse is 6.4 or over?

Mine ran at about the same psi as yours for both without and with the solar heater. I took the solar heater out as I’m in Las Vegas the sun alone has been enough. Hope all is well.

I can’t get my tank closed with the rubber ring on. The two outer rings will not fit over the tank no matter what I do. They hardly fit with the ring off. Any ideas of what I can do? Thanks!

@Victoria-lx7uc so those two plugs go into the B ports on the inside of the pool. You will need to loosen the clamps on the outside and remove the filter protectors and replace them with the plugs.

I followed your setup, including the solar heater. I added the Intex deluxe skimmer (which is working super well), but I had to cap off one return to get enough suction for it. My pressure gauge reads 7.5. Is that ok or too high?

You don’t have to use it just use the big white and orange tubes as your connector where the T is instead of the adapters for the solar

Thank you! We just got a best way 32x16 rectangular pool & it came with this pump. Our last pool had a much bigger sand filter & pump system with PVC piping. We installed a Nature 2 mineral cartridge. Cut our chemical maintenance down to almost nothing. How could I install such a unit onto these type of hoses?

Turn off your pump and slowly open your skimmer until you hear air and your skimmer fills up with water. Then tighten. Our pump is running at 7.5 psi as well. I can't figure out how to lower it as well

Make sure you turn the house to unlock , the hose the water comes back to pool from , on best way pool it's letter A hose I forgot to turn unlock and was woundering why pump was not pushing water back into pool
