@@MzApril1980 neeegro please. You know there was more than one form of rap back in the day. Conscience, party, gangster etc. now it's twerk hoes or kill the ops. Tell me you a twerker without telling me you a twerker 😂😂😂
That’s what society tells us to be… Social media.. See the problem is that black men are not choosing black females anymore. So our ladies are doing the much to get attention.. At the end of the day they not making us wives but baby mamas and they marrying outside their race. Now I don’t care but when you have black men online down playing us like we’re nothing, these females trying to prove something.
Hell, one of em was able to interview the president (to some) of the United States after a career of shoving beer bottles into her unmentionables and roofing and robbing tricks, that’s class right there
BET AWARDS no longer is about Black excellence and talent; it's Black exploitation and torture. We need to address the ignorance. The entertainment industry is/has always been SCANDALOUS.
Extremely so! We shouldn’t be surprised! Sadly enough, I do not believe we can ever recover! It is too far gone! I remember when Diana Ross made comments about this very issue along with how women dress. She was criticized like no other, but she told the truth!
@@Fruit17-ip4vlyou see how fowl they were when Monique told them to stop wearing bonnets in public or how fowl they were to India arie when she said something about all the twerking at essence fest.
I'm pleased to see that there are young black women that oppose this stuff. I thought that it was just my ole azz. Thank you ladies, we still have hope.
Yeah and thats great but I’m not in need to predict anything as past behaviors have shown that even when the appearance is modest or whatever….some way, some how entire families were created two towns over by already married or involved men so dressed, undressed…it not matter. I’m floored that people think this debauchery began in the past decade or two. It was around before your grandparents 😂. Matter fact if there are a majority of black men or men in general that prefer a modest woman…then the blatantly immodest women should have few takers, if any. No woman in a weave should have a man. No woman with enhancements should have a man. No woman not in church should have a man etc etc. So the math isn’t mathing. It’s almost like men want to choose the good woman….then cheat on her. It’s too much I’ve seen in over 50 years to fall for this. I don’t even watch black programming like that so I’m literally getting a take on the blatantly effortless tv awards via RU-vid. Unless we are willing to all become Muslim…then it’s a no win….and even then….there will still be debauchery and women sweating. If everything hinges on women just throw in the towel ahora! Men need to be blindfolded,in a room….surrounded by naked women, then take the blindfold off. A sharp blade need be directed at his phallus if he gets up. Easy Peasy! Train the men to say no to the hyper sexualize women and then train young girls to not trust men outside of her vetted father and trained to protect her brothers etc. A disciplined man respects the value of a good woman and his family unit and no woman shaking her shiddy shiny rump should deter him from that. Throw some coconut oil on your wife and simply have fun with her.
@@interviewboss8782 Same here and my other comment is gone, gone but I’m used to that. I have a way of touching some nerves clearly as I tend to go a bit past the pushed issue. Anyway, whether people want to talk about, listen or believe…the truth is STILL gonna be the truth. If women do everything right….THEN WHAT was my point…lol. TBC I’m all for women leading uplifting, modest, beautiful, ladylike positive lives….I just understand that the woman must do that for HERSELF as history has proven how a man can fail (in love, commitment, family loyalty/values) even the most upstanding woman. THAT was my point. I do not support ratchet because it’s just unnecessary distraction for what is really going on. Men messed around when women were way more covered than they are today. I’m sure this will be deleted and whoever does it I pray somebody they think they can trust …LIES to them. Amen? AMEN.
The EBT Awards was the ratchet minstrel show that I expected! BW can no longer complain about being sexaulized, about exploitation, or that anyone is harming their image but themselves! SMH 🙄
Excuse you, all black women do not act like those women that were up there on stage, it’s many of us that do not agree with that behavior, and are not going to claim those ratchets as representation of black women any more than all black men wanting to be looked at as thugs, drug dealers and jail birds

I knew this would happen as soon as black award shows left the big three networks i saw it coming in the late 80s and early 90s when the black award shows left because they were getting too raunchy then and now all we got is country music awards shows on tv now
@@jimmiesmith5811 Exactly! We have to stop letting ANYONE keep taking advantage of our platforms. It’s still hard to believe that some of our people are ok with looking the way they do publicly.
@@rucianapollard7098 I have no idea. That is why parents in the 21st Century must take action. The NAACP is no longer relevant. Minimum impact on Black people. BET is the tip of the iceberg.
The moment Sexxy Red and Sukianna came to the Hip-hop culture and music sense, I knew things was over with! Black women took this twerking thing too far!
Remember, Black people have not owned or controlled the BET corporation for many years. This show is owned and produced by WP with the help of Black people used as puppets. This is their image of us.
I agree my sister, no respect, no class just throts running around with thier nighties . I'm so sick and tired of this generation. My generations seem like they learning from the new generation instead of the other way around. This is sad
Great video... White guy here, and I still hold hope that more strong black men like you are standing up to this insanity.. Keep up the fight, my friend
OMG yes! Take a look at some vintage images and footage of us, say doing the Jim Crow era. We were so poised, dignified and united as segregated people - interesting.
This is why when it comes to R&B and Neo-Soul the Caribbean is is kicking ass because they still make real music from the heart. Instead of everybody is a ratchet female rappers..
Real housewife franchise started this disgraceful vulgar indecent way of being and social media is finishing by highlighting this mess. Talentless momma and children with no friends to tell them to pipe down because they are always on defensive fight mode. I cry..
You are absolutely right, they want the black woman up there showing everything, you'll never see Taylor swift up doing that, I was ashamed of everything
I'm just a regular white guy that 68 and raised on Motown. I used to enjoy BET because of the great performances and the class that was shown. No more. Same with the Grammys. They've lost their way and now it's just a social influencer thing and no class. But the BET has gone over the event horizon. IMO, this is what the black community was trying to get away from. It's a stereotype they have created. If you did the demographics, the loss of white's viewing the show has dropped off the cliff, but the target demographic, black and people of color, has fallen even worse. I stopped watching the Grammy's, and now the Oscars because of the drama there, but the BET's are done. I'll not even miss it
I was done with the Grammy’s when Meagan the Stallion and Carni B did the Lesbo Rap on the big bed how embarrassing for a show that has a long history of Class….just nasty & tasteless
I stop watching BET awards and shows yearsssssssss ago . It’s depressing watching the shows are degrading. The shows are either about a angry black women and crazy black men over it
I wish people had listened to some of those old-school people back in the day talking about how ratchet hip-hop and rap we’re coming with black male rappers with half naked women all in the videos and them calling women all kinds of names.. this is is where it started and where it stems from… it was ratchet then and it’s just one step further in ratchetness
Yeah, I remember that a prominent black woman, I think she was a politician, was the first one to sound the alarm and the black community, most prominent black men came out in support of those ratchet men talking about, they’re just trying to make money, but she said that this was going to be the outcome of it, and The community shut her down and quieted her and things just got worse and worse , and once Lil Kim, and two live crew came out it was a rap, and this is where we are now.
This is true. Now these women are willing to degrade themselves so they can be popular. I remember when BET banned MCs like KRS-One because he’s too intellectual with his music and BET doesn’t want to promote that.
Our "ancestors" are dead and buried in unmarked graves. They know NOTHING about this mortal world for they are dead -- simple as that. Only God can deal with the dead.
@@Jeronda-se6im They have been long gone and they aren't even our "ancestors". They are demonic spirits that could care less about the well-being of our world.
I didn't even watch it until my sister called to tell me Lauryn Hill was performing. After her performance, I turned it off🤷🏾♀️ We need to learn how to protect our senses. The things we see and hear imprint in our brains and our souls. ~Love ❤️ and light ✨️
After Lauryn Hill. Rapsody, Che Noir, Little Simz & Noname are the female rappers left that don't show off their body or twerk. And they are very talented rappers. Check them out.
This man is not talking about "race." He is specifically talking about the whorish, disgraceful, filthy behavior of those Black women at the BET Awards. If Black women don't call each other out for their filthy behavior, then you are part of the problem.
I remember teen summit, tavis smiley show, 106 & park displaying new released videos.. so many other shows with purpose. BET awards had artist, actresses/actors, NBA/NFL, young kids receiving scholarships. Performances were worth watching the artists display their work on stage. I didn’t watch this year but not surprised the big convo about lack of decorum over the years.
? Don’t you think you are missing his point completely? If the entire culture of black entertainment is represented by wretchedness, gangster and hoeism and celebrated then there’s something wrong big time
I Don't agree with the ratchetness..but Lauren Hill..gave a proper mesmerizing performance with Class and confidence all while looking absolutely Beautiful while displaying Pure Talent that showed an Example of what True Talent and Black Beauty looks like..Show them Queen..love her❤❤
The BET awards is now being called the EBT awards! This is why we NO longer see A-Listers attending & supporting!😂 As a GenX who remembers the older BET Award shows, I stopped watching it over a decade ago!😂
Im good off BET as a whole, they aren't going to improve anytime soon so why hold our breaths? It's clown show entertainment, that's exactly what it is.
BET is trying to keep up with the Gen-Z Generation. They are worried about losing their younger viewers. When Steve Harvey and Cedric The Entertainer was hosting the BET Awards you had rappers with lyrical skills and singers who could sing...Now it's just a bunch of ratchet rappers who can barely rap and a bunch of singers who can barely sing.
Agreed however let's not act like all rappers from back in our day had morals. The 2 live crew was very vulgar and nasty. Look at the women they had in their videos
@aflorine2, we are talking about the BET awards today and you want to deflect. We all know where the hip hopculture has been but strip shows on international platforms??come on
Once Donnie Simpson and Sherry Carter of Video Soul and Video Vibrations, Angela Stribbling of Jazz Central, and Caribbean Rhythms, Rachel Stuart were cancelled, that's when BET went downhill.
Boondocks was a crystal ball for the future. Honestly I believe you could see the direction of society back in the late 90's and early 00's. Boondocks was one of the few to call it out. Corporations were buying up cultural companies and cycling the lowest common denominator back to the communities.
You can't blame White people for you allowing the decadence of your own people by supporting those who would seek to do harm to us instead of promoting the good ones.
The BET awards were very classy sophisticated with beautiful representation of intelligent and talented black people when it was owned by the black man. Once it was sold, it turned into a ratchet, degrading representation of black people, guess who owns BET now, I’ll give you clue, no one Black.
