Buying half point to key number of 3 makes more sense and is worth more with low totals. The higher the total the less the half point is worth. It's not the same worth for every game. Obviously half point means more in an iowa/Iowa st game then a game that is supposed to be high scoring. Basic math half point is a way larger percentage of the total points with a lower total
@PeterAlexandre-k8k So for example Game A has a total of 35 and game B has a total of 55. In game A with a total of 35, a half point is 1.428% of the total. In game B with a total of 55, a half point is just under 1% of the total . Divided half point to the total and you get that percentage. The larger the percentage the more that have point is worth. Think about it from a logical perspective...if you are expecting a lot of points and more touchdowns then field goals there's less of a chance it lands on losing by exactly 3. If you are expecting a rock fight with more field goals then touchdowns it's a much greater chance of ending in a 10 to 7 or 17 to 20 kind of a game where that half point on the key number of 3 is more likely to come into play. High scoring games there is more variance and less likely to land on a win by 3. In conclusion it's better to buy half point on key number of 3 with totals that are 40 and under where there is less variance and a greater chance of the final score landing on the key number of 3. An extreme example to really understand this concept would be to think of a game of soccer that is expected to only have 2 totals goals. How much more valuable is a half point in a game to 2 then a game to 200 like basketball? You'd of course rather half the +0.5 goal in soccer with the low total and extremely less variance than +0.5 points in a basketball game that's supposed to have 200 points.

Here is some free advise for anyone watching this, after you've done your "research" if you are not monitoring the public betting split percentages and don't realize you are consistently betting with the public you are not going to be profitable. If money is going one way and the line remains stable or even worse it moves backwards it is most probably that game is going the other way. If let's say 80% of the money is on a -120 to -140 favorite and that line is not being adjusted that is a trap. As a rule of thumb try and avoid at all costs betting on teams where 75% of the money is on that team and it's at least a -150 or lower. You wanna see low percentages and higher money percent to bet ratio. You are welcome 😁
