I was expecting a T3 SL with that mission. Now i have to grind another 50 research pieces in dimension rift. I think i spent close to 350 energy on 40 pieces.

Quite a shame that with all the funds they have and all the work they put into the sometimes overzealous animations in the game, somehow, they can't figure out how to properly incorporate a bike into CGR's idle animation. Edit: Alex pointed out that they might not have enough staff. right now. I find that excuse negligent seeing as we now know they plan updates 6 months in advance. They are just lazy/don't care.

I really think NM should be letting players T3 Starlord with 80% off instead of 20% off, so like 160 ccf+2 Blast Book then everyone will be much happier with Beta and Starboi, so more players can actually enjoy this update IGN: mlti killer

People don't have expectations for this game because they are not doing anything to build expectations do you have expectations that your favorite character if he is weak gonna get what he deserves after seeing that star lord get what he never deserved I don't think that my favourite is gonna get what he deserves
Exactly. Ever since the Ultimates, I expect every update to have some insanely overpriced in app purchase, some garbage random mechanics, or excruciating grind that can be bypassed with cash.
To be honest I almost stopped watching after you said that we HAD to spend 8 books just to simply move on and only receive some energy! I get blast books once in a blue moon and it’s not even to get T3 Starlord! I can’t...
i was checking the epic quest requirements and those are the only books you use. You get Starlord at T3 later on by getting Phylla Vell to 5 stars thats the last quest. It just really weird that this requirement its so low into the epic quest. Its most likely there to gatekeep newer players from getting Beta Ray Bill.
Those blast books are the hardest to get. For some reason I have 7 combat records and hardly any of others. I wish the drop rate was higher than it is. I’m up to 4 blast books now.
I agree with you it sucks... but you’re wrong about it being the least rewarding. I have beta Ray Bill at 6 star, 6 mastery, level 60.. and with 4-5 star uru, and a lightning damage/140% damage proc obelisk... I cleared cull obsidian stage 60 in 2.5 minutes taking 0 damage whatsoever. He’s going to be a monster with awakening skill at 70. 🤷🏻♂️
i'm stuck on a research mission. The drop rate is so so so low. Playing 15-20 times give only one points. Its so lame. This is not hard, this is annoying
I am facing the same problem. The game is not challenging, just force u to use all your skip ticket or leave ur phone somewhere and put it on auto play is not challenging. They should learn from Dragon Ball Legends (a very good game), their mission is player must use xxx character or xxx type of character, which force u to build certain character, which is a lot more fun to play
I disagree with the extent with some of your rants when it seems too much without positives mentioned, but I do see your point usually and this time, yeah, 100% agree. This epic quest is kinda poorly designed with its costs and rewards. The dimension mission clears that take a gazillion energy are just dumb and monotonous. Nothing interesting or exciting really in how to accomplish it. Wish they made longer arcade game-style levels with bosses.
Before, everytime Alex pointed out how terribly managed this game was, I got real salty at the devs and posted a shit ton of suggestions but not a single one of them got answered. After a while, I got tired and just shut up and played the game. I couldn't afford to quit after all the time and money I've spent. No update really gets me that hype anymore because in the back of my mind I know that there's gonna be another money-grubbing scheme somewhere that ruins all the fun. Also, almost all the characters that come out now just get overshadowed by the existing characters and get shelved for eternity. Now, even though I see all this crappy stuff the devs do with this game, I just can't get mad. I guess I have zero expectations for NMM. #savemff thx for lookin at my long-ass rant

@Cynicalex you cannot check overcapped stats on ANY character until they are t2 lv60, only then will it give you the option to see how far over they are. Thor Corps Groot has 100% lightning immunity. IGN Gorogoth

Yeah actually, I do remember when you used to min max to squeeze every drop of value from characters. You inspired me to use 4* t2 natives in lower levels of shadow land, as well as 5* t1s. I even learned how to use characters in their niche to turn useless into soloists. Or at least useful. Ie.....deathlock in his 500k uni, leading whiplash against the take on the challenge with a formidable team. They both deal bonus dmg. against machine types, zeros to heroes! As well as a fun challenge, equip them both with invincibility for best results.
Really with the lack of content why would we need these new characters anyway? At most we gain a couple SL levels. All that investment to use these new characters for 30 seconds a week? No thanks... #SaveMFF ...by no longer spending cash until they fix this mess.
Wow, the thing with the 8 blast books only encourage me more to stop playing this game, or at least take a looooong break for now. Last login today because last day of Stark Stash and then wait if they ever will bring something really good in the future, but meanwhile i doubt it. Yeah ok, T3 Crystal and Black Bolt would sureley bring me instant back.
I'd love a T3 Blackbolt update that gives all the inhuman royal family an awakening skill but NM is too lazy and it wouldn't make as much money as giving cap america, sharog and luna another uni

Guess what MFF made me do? I was going through some Epic Quest missions to do and accidentally pressed on the pack that instantly made Star-Lord T2. Wasted some precious 1500 Crystals on something I could have easily done via Dimension Mission Support Shop... Wish they could put the packs in an Epic Quest shop of some kind to avoid mis-clicking... #SaveMFF

Yea this game is so badly designed in terms of convenience and functionality. Another example is the exp chips. We have to keep pressing on the + button to get to the number of chips we wanna use. They could've just did something like a dialog box and then we can key in the number instead.

As much as I don’t want to spend those t3 materials, I don’t need just another shadowland character. I love Beta Ray Bill, and really want to be able to use him in actual content.
The “bug” where you can’t see his overlapped skills is actually a “bug” where you can’t see anyone’s overcapped skills if they’re not 6* or t2. Not sure, but I noticed it on all characters.
It's not that I have no expectations for the game, it's that I have incredibly LOW expectations for Marvel Future Fight, and why I haven't spent in 2 years.

Even native T2's are internally only T1 chars as long as they are not level 60. At least that has been my experience a few years ago in SL when i was still working on getting to 30 and building up my roster.
I have him at 6* lvl 50 and rest is the same, gear 15, lightning 200% an iso set. My cards are trash for pve, but he still clears stage 29 ebony with only ignore dodge strikers that deal no damage.
It's weird that Storm got higher lightning resistance than Thor when it has been shown multiple times that Storm could got damaged by her own lightning, and Thor does not. LMAO
I’ve spent about 90 million gold just on the characters in this update, and I still have quite a bit left to do with gladiator and uru, and none of them are past lvl 60
Well i went on. The thing is. In the end you get t3 star lord "for free". The blasbooks and the dd are at that point and u get the star boy later in the end
i dont know why you have so much problems with titan records... every time i use them at least 1 week of world boss i recap them again... i think that ccf resource is the most problematic resource of the epic quest... (just comment no criticism)
Actually I am saving those books for the next blast tier 3 cause they'll definitely do that and make that character OP. Why am I saying this ? Cause I have NO expectations
The bike can't be improved because processors (the thing in our phones that calculates stuff) have a hard time dealing with curved shapes. Probably the closest shape to a sphere they could realistically create was a dodecahedron (or whatever), which looks ok when the bike is moving very fast (5th skill) but not as good when up close. So unless we want more overheating issues with our devices/game just because of a very neat spherical wheel on the character menu which won't be noticeable during the gameplay, I would say no bike is A-OK.

Just a heads up: other “spherical” things on the game like character heads are made of straight lines too and can be made in more detail because they are nowhere near a full sphere like CGR’s bike wheel. Now please... what’s your take?
In regards to the bike, I dont really much care for it. It has nothing to do with lack of expectations. Its more so that something that only really enhanced a idle animation wasn't that important to me to begin with. The character himself needs to be addressed before aesthetics become my concern
It's not that I do not have expectations, many players like me are not veterans like you who have full rosters for world boss and ABX and etc(all the game modes that you claim to be easy, but very challenging for new players).

We NEEED more uniform exp chips! Amongst these BS milkings we’ve received of an update, we spend 6600 crystals and are slapped in the face with these garbage costs of materials to finish research’s for the epic quest. This epic quest is a slap in the face, i stopped at 72% also, they need to give us a way to get alpha ray bill at level 60 without t3 star trash, and they need to bring back the bike with high graphic quality.

Cynicalex, I think youre making too big a deal out of the EQ cost. Remember that in previous epic quests, you had to rank up characters to 5*; characters that by the way, sucked even at the time. Does anybody really remember Fantomex being impactful? No. Now they did mention that as the game progresses, they need to change it up a little bit and using T3 materials to in the end, end up with a T3 Star Lord and fully ranked up BRB, is honestly not that bad considering that T3 Star Lord is pretty good. In addition; as a veteran, youve stockpiled so many resources so why is this an issue? Im also a veteran and had no problem spending my resources and if Silver Surfer comes out, Ill still have enough to T3 him. Like why are we whining about this?
I finished the Epic Quest, because I already had Star Lord at 70 gear 25, before I found out that T3ing was the goal of the epic quest. Even at only 8 Blast books, Star Lord is a lame T3. I'm a tad more than mildly disappointed.
Soon after you have to get 40 search points which is theeee most tedious thing ever. I don't want to wait literally 2 weeks of normally running the dimension missions to get this done.
Screw character model cosmetics let's talk about having to use books for fing energy, like we are not talking about the actual game we are talking about practice! Practice!
Ok, so obviously the 8 blast books research set seems less rewarding when judging the value of that single piece of the epic quest. And any player who has invested in Jean Grey, Professor X, and/or Scarlet Witch is most likely to work on that t3 LONG before Star Lord. But how does Star Lord compare to Iron Man, Cyclops, American Star Sharon Rogers, and other t3 blast heroes outside of that elite group? (For those wondering why I referred to Sharon Rogers as "American Star", I was tossing out a suggestion for a hero alias she could use to differentiate between herself and other users of the title "Captain America" should more than 1 work together. Using her name won't work in cases when she needs to avoid revealing her civilian identity. Most of her in game uniforms use "star" in the title, so it made sense to work that in. But I digress.) How does Star Lord compare to the t3 blast characters that didn't start out in X-Men comics?

you can use t2 level 50 or 55 beta ray bill with proc rotation 3 cancel then 4 you see massive damage . I completed epic quest . Beta ray level 60 with 140% proc skill rotation 5 cancel,3 cancel then press 4 make sure proc star on 4 . I clear stage 55 ebony with out strikers within 1:35 sec. Beta is a new meta for wbu.
The stats of beta ray bill are not bugged. Since yours is not level 60 yet he gets a little extra stats and the cap button doesn't show up. It's the same for all characters since they introduced this button
Not being able to see overcapped stats is not a bug, it is like that for any toon which is not 6*, and has been like that for a long time. Its dumb, as any NM decisions are, but not a bug.
Beta ray bill has the best skills ever in mff they design him perfect with the best skill set my number one caricature now but i will never get him because Marvel makes it so hard to get the good caricatures

As a F2P player and seeing a research mission that requires T3 materials that are on its own both hard to come by and drop an extremely little amount, only to have an epic quest step that requires to T3 a character? That's a slap to the face considering I could've saved up those Tier 3 materials for a character that I feel could've benefit better from it. This epic quest sure as hell isn't epic. It a CTP of Greed personified from NM Monster.
I wish they brought back the old devs. All the current ones do is copy paste and even so we still get at least 100 bugs every update most of which never get fixed until like 3 weeks after it lands

im realy nmot sure what you prob is. we play the first epic quest when we have to use the tr2 matiral to get DS or wolverin when we didnt have any tr3 yet. now that we have 2 years of tr3 chercter whats worng to have to tr3 star lord. and he is btw will be as strong as mystic more or less...
