That still doesn’t make any sense because you face the sheep robot during the storyline and u tell him about it he gets surprised and confused like he’s never heard or seen it before
@@blank24.7-x6p the last tape of Calvin trying to reprogram the robot to act like a sheepsquatch he messed by accidentally removing saftey protocols and as soon as he gives his code for approval it takes his mouth almost completely off. Also I'd you do the brotherhood of steel quest "Out of the Blue" looking for the missing caravan in the Harpers Ferry tunnels. It gives you the back story on how calvin got the robot and why he was trying to scare the Lewisburg neighborhood his family's taxidermy's office is in. If you take all the info you get from both quests it tells the entire story of calvin van low. He basically was hired on with Bysshe company straight out of college. They wanted to buy the rights to Lewisburg as cheap as possible so he was supposed to use his inside knowledge to scare the town into selling. It obviously didnt work out for him but the company ended up buying most of it after it was all said and done anyway. Than I guess Calvin Van lowe became Aries and started working for the blue caravan company a while later. Sorry for spoilers but if you havnt done the BhoS quests they are worth the effort and you get some good money and loot as well as power armor of course along with a halfway decent story line to add more depth to your playthrough!
Thank you. I never even knew about this and have completed every quest. I log on just to do daily/monthly. Right now the mutated events are pretty good too. Love seeing them start to put high quality content into this game. It's come a long way.
I found this quest-chain a few months back after getting back into fallout 76, sometime after the show airing and bethesda nuking fallout 4 with an update. I needed an event to complete for the scoreboard, I thought "oh, let me do riding shotgun, that one's fun, I could use some pepperoni rolls and I don't think I have all the rewards". It was a fun week. It fleshed out a lot of the world and characters. They feel more personal now. I like Eugenie, I sell her all the weapons I loot off of enemies. Aries I like, too. I just wish there was a way to opt-out of being called "knight-errant"; I know it's nitpicky and it's cause of a main-story thing, it's a role-playing thing to me, I'd prefer to be called a Responder over the Brotherhood. I don't like the Brotherhood, I really don't, especially the way Shin wanted to do things more like the West Coast chapter; Rahmani would make a better Responder, I wish that was an option, tell her "hey, you don't seem like the rest of these guys, holding people at gunpoint for resources and technology, why don't you join this group actually trying to rebuild and help people?" because it seems like that's what she wants to do.
I highly suspected back in the BOS storyline that Aries was Calvin. And I came across this quest last week when I was finishing up the Costa Work missions.
I did that quest yesterday and was awarded the imposter sheepsquatch outfit already. Defeated the Assaultron with the electric system etc. She was cloaked and had to be stunned to be neutralized. Then the quest awards came in and i got a tesla rifle and ammo and a couple other items? I don't remember exactly what all was in the reward package? She was tough. And there were other bots in the fight too.
Like your vids. ? What's the best way to get plasma grenade plan. Never have any luck getting it. Appreciate any ideas you may have. Keep up the good work on your vids, very helpful.
Is it me or did they really bumbup the content output in these last 3 years/4 years? I tried Fallout 76 for the last 2,5 weeks or so and I had a feeling that I didnt know much ^^ Only problem I have is constant crashing. Its why I needed to reinstal Fallout 4 for now (Awaiting a new pc....) This quest sounds amazing and I had no clue!
I kinda feel ashamed for already knowing Aries was Calvin because of the wiki. But with this quest it all comes full circle. Once I go through the whole thing instead of skipping to the ending.
Doesn’t make any sense at all that he’s Calvin. For one when u face the sheep robot at the brotherhood storyline and tell him about it he gets surprised and confused like he’s never heard or seen it before… unless he was actually trying to unalive the hero and paladin rah then pretends he didn’t know anything about it…
Or maybe he was lying. He knows that we have been doing the Van Lowe storyline because he’s been keeping tabs on us. We never see Calvin’s corpse, so yeah, it does make sense. Plus, he didn’t work at the Byshe gas line in the Harpers Ferry tunnel, he worked in Lewisburg, so he didn’t know that it existed there
When this was added in, it gave me the impression that it was a week-long event where you get different rewards for each day-long event quest that you do, and I didn't get to play until the 4th day after it dropped, so I ignored it entirely. Thanks for this video!
Not Adonis (a mythical man who's basically the ancient greek Giga Chad meme.) It's pronounced "Add-on-ai" even Bathesda pronounces it wrong. According to google an adonais is an elegy, a song intended for the dead. It also means "Master or lord". OMG IT IS HIM!!! CALVIN!!!! I KNEW IT FROM THE VERY FIRST HOLOTAPE!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! It's in Aries' speech patterns on the tape!!! Also carver is so innocent!
@@RifleGaming I did his quest before, because I wanted what I thought was a rare black cowboy hat, you go in the tunnel the Big Bend, I think it's called riding shotgun or riding side saddle something like that. I guess I did his quests over time.
@@Jamosite It's not really a secret, is the thing. Most people find it organically if they follow the usual questlines. "secret" implies you have to stumble onto something, but this is essentially signposted.
The sign is for a different questline you have to do to be able to start this. Protocol Adonais quest is gotten from doing Vinny's 7 different daily quests, and then you unlock this. This hidden one isn't started from the sheepsquatch sign. Hopefully, that helps clear up any confusion.
