"The game has cannon names for the omens but we've been ignoring them because there is a place to name them" It's because the different haunts have different names for them which is why it's not just printed But I am liking the house names for them
Cameron your awsome and all but the thing that scared me the most of this entire thing was how you ate the tile and just kept chewing. We never even saw if you swallowed it. So congrates you beat the game at its own game
I have a creeping suspicion the designers have misunderstood how property law functions. I'm not an expert, but I fairly certain the rule isn't "King of the Hill".
I haven't watched yet but I will say I'm so glad this show exists. As someone whose playgroup can only get together a couple times a year if I'm lucky we haven't even gotten through Goomhaven yet. Seeing all these games being played lets me experience other games I'd love to play if I could find the time.
2:01:38 Graham's reaction is legit. Imagine if dolls came to life and moved around like that. I'd be like, "NOPE! NOPE! NOPE! SO MUCH NOPE!" as I run out the front door and not come back.
When I saw the time length of the video, and saw how quickly they went through chapter 2, I thought they might do chapter 4. Chapter 3 was longer then we thought.
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does anybody know a tool to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost the password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me
@Braylen Abraham Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
For Chapter 2 actually I feel like from all the RU-vid videos I've watched almost everyone gets the rituals haunt instead of the other one with the Nightmare
@@hunterorion2188 Yeah, most people have played the old game, and so they explore the inside of the house first, so the triggering Omen is the one outside.
So one thing I noticed from watching the chapter 3 game is that Cam was supposed to move *everyone* with the bells and could not actually select who moves and who doesn't. This also includes the large pile of dolls outside
I'm not sure if the play was meant to be "Clog the front door with cultists" but when you roll for monster movement each monster gets to move that many spaces (minimum of 1). The cultists should have been a much bigger threat in the first game.
Ben had Scholar, so when he rolled for silencing, he would have gotten a bonus as it's a knowledge roll. And it's a die roll for the cat to kill things.
So someone correct me if I'm wrong, but at 3:23:30 I think the play is supposed to be Ben stops 1 short of the entrance hall, and therefore acts as an obstacle to Cam so he can't get to Wiggins and shoo him away. That way as long as both he and James don't die then whoever is alive can move Wiggins into the room with the dolls and potentially win. Am I missing something? I still like the way this played out but I think that's where things mainly went wrong
Noooo! they forgot that Ben was a scholar, which would have given them a flat +1 to all those silence rune rolls. Also forgot about the book on the front steps.
I just realized, they never once used the Doctor calling to heal a trait, even when they were on the verge of death. The Operate action is sorely underutilized.
Yeah. I might not remember right. But I thought the cook moved with you (kind of like the elevator) and that she would only give you one tour per game.
I think it was because he was haunt revealer and the haunt says the revealer is exempt from being the traitor. But don’t quote me. I’ll have to rewatch this episode to be sure.
He specifically asked if his dolls could stop the cat from moving. And not stopping when he explored rooms with icons after the haunt. Hate to say it, he kinda cheated on this one.
To be fair, the traitor and players do not have to share information until it becomes pertinent (i.e. they ask what is written in the other side's booklet for rules concerning the haunt on their end.) Until then, the other side can falsely assume things that isn't true because no one asked. Still, for those who say that Cam cheated on this one, maybe so, but how many board games have we all played that we got every single rule correct the first time we played them? Mistakes do happen, especially if one doesn't go back to review rules in a provided booklet. Having said that, it's even harder when each time you play there's new rules each time.
54:20 "And they go after Ben." Me: Ben... as in Ben Kenobi sitting in the second chair there? He is a Padawan currently, but soon he will be the master.
Helpful tip, if you make the haunt roll, you should take the new omen instead of an old one, because it seems like your drawing an old one before and then also taking the new one if you start the haunt, which can be unbalanced.
That would be foolish. The trapper Traitor gets to look at the numbers and change them. The entire purpose is so that the two aren't tied. The "win if tied" is meant to punish the traitor in a "you didn't follow the rules like we said and screwed up the game. You lose. Good day!" Also written before the ending.
No one commenting on how Cameron slightly cheated as the doll master? All players, unless otherwise stated, STOP when finding a room with any icon, including when he found but did not draw that omen. The dolls can explore, but are to stop on the first room they discover. And dolls do not at as obstacles to players.
The rule is "Whenever you draw a card from the Event, Omen, or Item deck for any reason, you lose any remaining moves you had. You can still take actions." If he revealed a tile (wether it had an icon or not, you only lose moves if you have to draw a card.
i know its a old video but my god i am so pissed at ben! he could ahve waited the square before the entrance hall and act as a obsticle and stop the shooing and then the cat b at the entrance still!
@@morridin7766 3:22:50 to 3:23:41 is the time of turn where graham explains the plan to a bit before ben's ending move if he moved ONE space or TWO or THREE less and wait there then act as a obsticle cam would only have FOUR move instead of 5 and not b able 2 shoo the cat but as well what cam would have done been different to be fair but i wish this was what happened i wanted 2 see THIS ending not the one ben does what graham said and go 2 the entrance hall
Amazing how they give you set names so you don't make stupid jokes that breaks the immersion and these guys just can't possibly grasp the names have a reason. Like there are so many cards you can name why go completely off rails on the most important cards. Also definitely fits my theory that any gaming group without at least one female tends to have some issues with respect and following rules. It's already half unwatchable in game 3. I wonder when it becomes completely unwatchable
