it is a good story but it sicken me not just the moral but the gods too they make there law but not make moral more pure good basic they god sure have remove the power from the that lu stfull girl when she lu so much or make her cant feel lu s when she a messager of the god and the hell god broke a law him freeing them when there sin why they there freeing them without there soul being fix sure not happen the love god is ok somewhat but she too broke a rule she a god of love so she sure love all it ok to love one more then other but she sure not forget all the people she love but she let them be hell toy for the one she love most
I had read this like 2 days or a week I cant remember, before your first video on this and I am glad you actually read it. Since you have read this can you also read Juujika no rokunin (aka Cross of the 6 people)
Fun fact: Raoul is currently fighting Satan in Hell in the manga . He is definitely NOT a fan of Raoul or his demon subordinates being slaughtered. Raoul wants to take the next step and kill the gods who did nothing to stop his suffering.
I like how Raoul knows what he is and just revels in it. Redo of a healer pissed me off because the MC was pretty much just as evil as the people he wanted revenge against (when it came to manipulation of innocents but had a chip on his shoulder). Raoul just wants painful revenge and doesn't pretend to be this moral hero.
@@goutam149 yeah, people tend to overlook that one fact about Redo... The MC WAS PUSHED to that point. It's like they forget WHY the MC of Redo wants revenge.... Not to mention that a lot of the people the MC acts against are either just doing their jobs... or picked a fight anyway.
Damn. Not only did Raoul do such inhumane things, but the world he lives in has such horrible, evil, and disgusting satan spawns. I wouldn’t wanna live in that manga…
Its a same that Raoul didn't just kill EVERYBODY in the world before taking himself out of it too... I think i understand why God flooded the world and killed all humans except one in the Old Testament... sometimes there is no hope
@@roeital5504 they probably meant, that because he made the goddess of love, love him, he should be feared. they didn't really say anything about her making him this strong.
Oh so liking a guy makes a woman a thot now? and men liking a woman makes them a simp? I guess we all have to be gay now? I mean according to internet slang their the only ones exempt
He calculated Theodora in his spree also. Either he planned that from the start (based on his dialogue about Theodora not being near the castle when Raoul invaded) or included her spur of the moment (when he discovered that she wanted revenge and not just let it go). Masterfully executed either way.
One of the few revenge manga where the mc promised, came and did more than he promised, man literally broke and dismantled everyone who betrayed him and anyone associated with them so much so that even satan himself had to wipe their souls from existence to end their suffering (one of them was happy she was about to be wiped) because satan got petty that raoul is doing a much better job than him.
He's not doing a better job than him. The God of Hell's duty is to manage the administration of ETERNAL punishment to sinners. It's not to carry out revenge.
Satan is petty because in his view Raul doesn't know his place. It's his job to torture people for all eternity not some human's. Thus he resolves to essentially take away Raul's "toys" by utterly wiping out their existence, to prove his superiority and to piss Raul off.
Spoilerish Even more damn worse (I hate this kinda) the princess is the crucified and eaten by bugs, insects, crows and wild animals alive. Thanks to Raoul, she will never die and is in that state for as long as Raoul wishes her to be
I cant even imagine the mindset of the author writing this. Made every character as evil as possible like goddamn. His sister got violated and then KILLED while she was pregnant is just messed up to a whole other level
I tend to do this kind of stuff to AI bots, and it is very fun. Recommend character AI in my experience if you want to do the stuff raohl (can't spell his name) does.
I mean, if you read enough trashy rebirth/cultivation stuff you just start rolling your eyes at this kind of stuff real fast. The MCs of these stories compete at who has the most ludicrously overstated bad past to excuse the murder-hoboing the MC will commit later on in the story.
this right here is what redo of healer WISHES it was. dark, dirty, grimy, violent revenge. A little excessive at some points, but that's the point. no weird "healer jizz lets you limit break" porno bullshit.
Exactly! That other protagonist just kills his victims in the most sickest ways but THIS protagonist literally breaks his victims in the most evil is way as possible! Like the fact he went to hell to prove a point is INCREDIBLE MESSED UP!!!
that guy from redo of healer just makes a harem for revenge although i don't like his way of using the girls for his revenge and manipulating their minds completely ( on most of them anyway ) i do respect him for destroying the unjust
They medieval. You ever hear a knight sitting down for a movie? No. No you silly man. They had bards. Your questions should be "have you ever hear a horror story?"
This is the problem on such revenge stories... everyone is horrible. It is not just the princess, no, every cronie she has must be equally rotten and revolting or the reader might feel pity for the gruesome revenge our "hero" is taking. That, in turn, makes the entire world an evil caricature... a place where everyone who is not an ally is a sadistic evil cruel monster. And thus entirely unrealistic.
…. This is a setting with demons, magic, gods, demon gods, mutagenic drugs, super humans, and people coming back from the dead, and *this* is what ruins the realism for you?
People are generally reading these for something easy digestible, just turn your brain off guilty pleasures. People that read these don't really want a morally gray, thought provoking narrative. The MC killing people who might not be truly evil is just gonna make the reader feel icky.
@@elijahhayter3026 Yes, because why would the word 'hero' exists when everybody's an asshole? Thats really weird argument you have, becaue it has X it must be Y. Why does having all of these strange monsters and magic somehow change society/morality?
@@howdoyoudo5949 firstly, why wouldn’t awful people use words to make their side seem less awful than what they actually are? Secondly, have you ever heard of a “hate sink?”
So in summary he basically went from a hero tasked with slaying the demon king, to slowly becoming the king of hell Lucifer Himself! He is basically a full on Fallen Angel!
The nobility in this story never learned the rule that 'treat others as you wish to be treated', and now it's come back to bite them in the butt, literally in some cases.
Actually, this was all the saints fault. As it turns out the saint wanted to bring out everyones evil nature because that is who they were. She used lust for the princess, Gluttony for the general and envy for Raouls best friend(in reality he was already evil) however none of this would have haplened if the messed up saint didnt believe in the goddess of love(the same psycho who let raoul get revived in the frist place)
Not really, the scientist also killed plenty, that swordsman guy was killing and eating people for a long time, the village was killing and robbing innocents, etc
Actually, things still trace back to the gods, but the Saintess and everyone else just further escalated things. in fact, Raoul let himself die to deal with same gods on their terf, starting with the one that ruled over hell.
I think this story really flash out how dreadful revenge can be. First, it gives you cruelty and injustice against the MC, at the point you feel yourself wanting revenge. Then, the author masterfully gives you just that, having Raul act as your proxy. And you realize how far that hate can go, and the emptiness that leaves behind. All the people there deserve it, you know it, but it's still a "bit too far" kinda feeling. Not many revenge/anti hero story hits hard like this one imo.
This is basically a genre at this point. It's like hatred porn. I think most popular example is redo of healer. Honestly kinda scary this kind of revenge rape/torture/murder stuff is getting popular.
@@Botar48 not really. Those kind of stories were always popular, as much as the regular journey's hero, this one is just cranked to the max. But doesn't mean that people will start going crazy because of reading it. For example, there are many characters that the writer want you to know they are dead and suffered Injust abuse, like the MC family. And the MC have powers compared to God, but even with that and the revenge following, he can't bring them back. Even after the tortures, while he descend more in madness, you can't feel fulfillment from it, just emptiness. Usually anti-hero/revenge stories are much more "reasonable" and makes you cheer for the underdog, but here revenge is the main player and the MC show you how ugly can become. Of course people like Matt Walsh thinks that all the manga are evil, but I can assure you is not even close to what "normal" humans can be even without reading any of that.
@@DellikkilleD the feelings are both present in this writing. You see that the MC has gotten godlike powers and is able to seek any kind of revenge, which gives you satisfaction. But, no matter how many times he can torture them, making them unable to die in order to suffer a bit more, and be on par of a god, at the end he still can't turn back time and see the people he lost. And the writer makes sure to remind you that every time, while you see the MC dipping into madness.
this is "the hero laughs as he walks the path of vengeance a second time" but to a whole other level, nothing soft hearted just pure and utter violent revenge. the only soft part of this whole story is the relationship, or should i say the interaction between raoul and theodora. love this and love the narration. fantastic job, cant wait to see more.
Could only make it 12 minutes in. Find it hard to to get invested in these "what if literally everyone was absolutely just the worst imaginable" kind of stories.
Yeah those are so dull. Whoop de do another person and their evil who would have guessed... Honestly for good proper revenge story you need to pace it out between good stuff for max impact. These nonstop revenge ones just cant compare.
There is actually a reason for why everyone is so absolutely evil. It's a big spoiler but, well, the Saintess Clarissa used her holy power in a messed up way that basically removed their inhibition and amplified their sinful ways to 11, thinking this is what the goddess wanted by spreading her love and bringing other people salvation, that when she died she would save take everyone's sins with her and let them access heaven. Turns out she was completely delusional and basically became the Who** of Babylon (if you know that biblical character) and brought damnation to everyone she used her power on. That flesh eating man? She basically commanded him to indulge as much as he wanted and go live his most intimate desires. The best friend the Archmage? She told him to pursue his dream and do as he wished and betray the Hero if he so wished. It's also revealed she loved to have blood orgies with soldiers and let their lust completely loose, thinking people having sex with her would bring them salvation. Nearly every character in the story have been corrupted by her, and every others have been corrupted by the decadence brought around them. Some of them clearly weren't corrupted by her like the villagers of bandits, or the slave master guy, but a great majority of the absolute decadence was amplified by the Saintess.
It’s a very interesting concept.. what would happen to a hero once they completed their destiny? Are they revered continually up until their death? Do they live a secluded and quiet life away from the main world? Or, do the people lose interest in them, feeling their job is done and they should move on with life? This story is really dark, sometimes unneedlessly so. Like, practically everyone has done something bad that hurt things in the grand scheme. Yes, some humans are truly horrible, but honestly, this is overkill. Still, entertaining
However you say that this is overkill but most people are truly evil an it's the base of humanity and for me "evil is beauty and beauty is evil" from Shakespeare of shimatsu no valkyrie
but then just as many series, it became overused, almost every series love this whole "the hero got betrayed" or "the MC is just a no body while the hero is evil" type
This is not bad because it's torture porn. It's bad for the simple reason it's plot is stupid. In the main character is basically an insert. On top of all of that, the plot is the dumbest I've ever heard. Everyone is cartoon isly evil with no common sense in a level of self-destructiveness that it shouldn't not even got this far with any of them.
Revenge done beautifully, this is what I love. Count of Monte Cristo meets Redo of Healer meets Dexter. Also it's kinda poetic that a kingdom of psychopaths gets killed by a hero who has turned into a psychopath
@kibarax Therein lies the difference, his punishments are less 'sexual deviancy' and 'grape' and more merciless and brutal dismemberment, Berserk is the only thing that even gets close to the amount of wanton brutality that the Manga displays.
@@imaran1303 and people still watch(jc what they did to a new season with that animation) and read the manga ,we need more revenge anime and this is perfect
@@basedguy.4229 didn’t mean it like that, it was just a joke but u can talk however u want, and how did you find out that I’m not smart from me telling a joke???
There is something about revenge plots in manga or anime that keeps me invested and I can't explain why, like wanting a sense of closure or seeing the antagonists get their just deserts of all the sins they committed against the protagonist.
I have mixed feelings about that manga title because...well, these antagonists had to coming for messing the wrong guy who really doesn't take deceit and betrayal so easily. _Everybody_ (sans the victims) single one of them is the jerk in the series, including the citizens who are extremely blood-lusted to see justice fell upon the "condemned". Like, as much as wicked these antagonists whose actions are so atrocious that you almost wish that they will suffer a fate worst than death, the city citizens aren't exactly innocent either. Small wonder why Raul the MC going to a dark that not even the devil dare to cross. The one moment these sadistic jerks destroyed the only thing that mattered to him and made a mockery about it, you can bet that he ain't stopping his retribution on these buffoons.
*MFW you remember even the refugees in st albion were jerks and baby eating heretics before the egg of the perfect world did its thing and guts tore through it like a tornado*
This plot is just as silly as Redo: the Healer. Like they're all just unnecessarily hateful. Like they could have just used Raoul, who was basically a pawn and happy with a quiet life, but let's just inflict as much trauma, pain and suffering to a guy who was nothing but loyal and useful. Just makes no sense beyond justifying his revenge plots.
Gotta realize people r spoil my guy and jealous is a strong thing lol I could see this happening back in the 1700’s but redo of healer is way better than dis
It seems silly and outrageous, but people like that exist in ample amounts all over the world. People are cruel, and relish in the suffering they cause. Just pray you never have prolonged exposure to someone like that in real life. It's terrifying.
@@AA-ed6ek Stories like this don't draw on real life. They're exclusively aimed at basement dwellers who don't have real human interaction or are weird loners and come up with clownish caricatures of evil so the main character can be just as horrible without needing to face consequences.
Pretty sure this is the vacation. You’d be surprised how cathartic it can be, to just vent out all the nasty thought in your head. Especially on paper.
What the hell you mean "villain"?! He's LITERALLY an actual hero now *cough* (Anti-Hero) *cough*. He was a villain before because he was a Hypocrite " Hero", and didn't realize until he was betrayed and killed. This fantasy world works in reverse, clearly.
After he kills the goddess and threatens to kill the god of hell he is completely stripped of his hero title. He’s a villain no better than the ones who killed his loved ones and betrayed him.
@@soujemn5 Oh, you mean the kids who murdered the other child in that village that turned away soldiers and murdered a family of refugees? He didn’t kill those kids, he let the parents nearly starve to death and left it to the children and parents? Oh wait you’re talking about the literal cannibals.
this is the best revenge manhwa i`ve ever read. it`s so satisfying , it leaves no room for romance bull and the killing is perfectly executed....truly satisfying to the core ^_^
So he is manipulating the goddess just like how the princess manipulated her people. Truly he has sunk himself down to her level. The whole everyone is irredeemable therefore my actions are justified concept is way too overused. I think this is like the 20th I have taken a brief glimpse at with the same premise.
You wouldn't if your pregnant sister got spit-roasted? And it was your supposed best friend that outed your sister's whereabouts to that psycho princess and those priests? I would have gone nuclear.
Revenge porn depends on everyone being so evil and/or ignorant to the point of stupidity for the plot to even exist. Yup, Manhwa creators just can't do nuanced storytelling, I understand why because it relies on people to enjoy the story outside of dopamine-fueling Violence but still that fact that it's the standard is crazy.
Srsly the rape of his sister was super sickening and made me stop reading... I had a slither of hope that the priests only killed her... It was just super sick. Had easier time reading about the cannibal.
What equally enraged me was the rape and murder of the real Ada. Raoul didn't know the real Ada personally, but if he did... It's just another reason to justify his actions.
So was Raul's village basically the only place that was even remotely good cause I'm at the research part right now and so far literally everyone else from top to bottom has been evil lol
A good recap of a good, and from what I know underrated, series. Just one thing though. Raoul wasn't the one who cut the chain when Christina was climbing it. It simply snapped because she had lost her faith and admitted to not being a saint.
Sauce: Fukushuu o Koinegau Saikyou Yuusha wa, Yami no Chikara de Senmetsu Musou Suru aka The Dark Massacre of the Vengeful Hero aka The Hero Who Seeks Revenge Shall Exterminate with Darkness
I cant compare this to redo of healer. Redo is more about the depravity of so called heroes who show two faces, with the MC joining in on doing shit for whims and revenge. This here the Princess and her cohorts not only betrayed him, but killed someone he beloved then killed him too. Its an order of magnitude more brutal, and motivations are completely different. However, this MC does what I wish Redo MC would do. However Raul is clearly an evil bastard now
@@Kwingo Yes but the difference is in the manner of how it happened. The antagonists in this are a lot more brutal than in Redo of healer, more sadistic.
@@isaac13d Coomer shit was fine. Its just that why not go all out like Raul here, One protag is more heroic than the other. I guess the brutality is what drove the edge further.
True, but it's annoying to see these shallow villains that are just evil for the sake of being evil. The evil deeds these antagonists are committing are illogical (such as killing people for pretty much no reason and finding their death / torture hilarious), which means they probably have a mental illness of some sort. (i wrote this at 12 AM so probably has some grammatical errors or is shitty in other ways.)
The only good revenge stories are complex imo. It’s very rare to meet people who are just completely cartoonishly evil. I hate stories like this because they make villains that are 1 dimensional. They kill any comrade of the mc that might be normal so they have no one to challenge them. They make it so there’s no angle for sympathy. That’s lazy. What really happens in real life that frustrates authors like this, is we are harmed by one aspect of people. There are good people who can be tied to people who have committed vile acts. There are people who commit evil acts only to people they consider not in their group. It’s almost always complicated. People try to make it so that evil is the only aspect to make things easier for them. The best villains for me are those who can be seen as good from different perspective. Maybe through family, friends, etc. But in tories like this, they make everyone evil. They make it so little children kill animals just for kicks, and mothers assist cannibalism. I’m sorry for forgetting, but there’s a story i read where the mc builds a relationship in his home country etc. Then a huge long war breaks out. People die and the mc suffers. He hates the other side. And after a long time in the story, he’s forced to go undercover on the other side. And forced to see them not as just enemies but as people participating in a war just like him. They aren’t just faceless villains. The mc has a very hard time since he’s separated from family during a war they’re losing, and he needs to deal with his hate while being forced to see them as people. Is a child of your enemy that innocently wishes for their father to return home safely evil? What if they protect you from monsters out of kindness (without knowing your background)? In stories like this, we dehumanize characters and make them monsters so we can justify anything we do. Isn’t it more normal (and frustrating) to be victimized by people who think they are in the right or justified? Not people who do evil for the sake of it.
Well said. I watched the entire video purely for the revenge. Everyone is just a bunch of crazy psychopaths, but this, this manga is soley tailored completely towards literal revenge and bloodshed, so expecting actual substantial character complexity would be wrong when it comes to this limiting extreme-leaning-typa stuff. But again, it's better to just pick up a good novel. Tbh I don't know how I feel after consuming all that hot garbage, but reading your comment was a breath of fresh air. Which reminds me the author was 100% in a deranged and insane state of mind writing this. If they weren't, I don't think they're human.
For anyone wondering about a next part sorry to say it will be even longer this video is up till chapter 71 there’s only 78 chapters out atm. Author seems to only release 2-3 chapters every few months.
@@Zz-vz5rj of course it’s better than none just letting people know it’s not a biweekly release and expecting part two of this size will be another year+
Man, CJ DaChamp is gonna have a ball trying to place this guy into the round table of black air force energy. I guess Redo of Healer has a challenger now?
Raoul Evans being a challenger for Keyaru? Keyaru pales in comparison to Raoul. Both have a lot of black air force energy but Rapul was acting on demon emperor time. Maybe even hell lord time instead of just demon time.
I want this too! Can we get some people to ask CJ DaChamp to read this manga real quick? We need a round table for manga characters because they are even crazier than most anime characters.
Hmm. So far hes dome only the ones thats been animated but if anything. Im sure at aome point he'll ask his fans if they want him to do manwha and mangas
If anybody else love true vengeance and fucked up torture, try “Juujika No Rokunin” It’s basically the same except there’s no magic nor going back-to-the-past. The MC trained to get vengeance against his manipulative megalomaniac classmate, who bullied him as guinea pig and murdered his parents.
Tbh. I think he is. Cause he wasnt shown to be in hell or anything so raul mustve gave him the immortal spell like with the princess and this dude is dying in his head over and over again
What it takes to be a hero? In an anime you’re either the edgiest of average looking guys, the one with the craziest hair around, an energetic foodie or the idol of a girl who’s vocabulary is limited to saying your name as often as possible. Honorable mention to anyone who goes through a flashy transformation that only really changes their clothes.
@@vexile1239 Was thinking more along the lines of this one girl from a Yu-Gi-Oh spinoff who had as much functionality in the show as a coffee table and it's often the only words she said in an episode were the main characters name, but I'm pretty sure this is a trope among others none the less.

I read this manga for some time. Though it started to bore me after a while when he found no challenge whatsoever. Don't take me wrong, there are some cool power fantasies. But by the time i am writing this, the guy is smacking higher demons and is targeting the king of hell, and nothing threaten him at all. There is no challenge whatsoever for him.
I agree. I got boring and very repetitive. He beat evil dude, goes on to the next big bad, backstory, kills the next big bad, rinse and repeat. Even in the comments (at the time over 50+) they were all getting bored by the story being too formulaic.
I think the only challenge was that female demon who gave the main character death. but then again he comes back to life again by the goddess and threw her away like trash. hes no better than the evil princess lol
I finally bothered reading it again after 2+ years since I read it till chapter 10 when chapter 10 was literally the most updated chapter and now I've caught on, holy fuck, it went full anime plot lmao. It went from a side quest of taking revenge to him pretty much is a god now. Anything more I say will be spoilers. But damn, the only spoiler I would say is that, since everybody was manipulated so ALL they have done were till their deaths they were pretty much on a permanent acid trip, will he be able to forgive them to a certain degree since he practically owns hell now and he calls the shots to who gets what eternal punishment?
