I got my betta into a 20 gallon for the last 2 months of his very long life, I like to think he enjoyed it too. Just be sure to get the 20 long and not the 20 tall as they do enjoy getting up to the surface and making bubble nest ect and super old bettas can struggle in the 20 tall to get all the way to the surface.

Lifewithpets, in these two days, his health dropped badly. dark spots appeared on his belly. his fins are ripped. he sits at the bottom and he will probably die.😖😭. that stupid medicine does not seem to work.

What are you using? How much are you water changing?

Lifewithpets there is a medicine available named 'cure all' that 'treats' white spots, skin sores, velvet, fungus, red spots, wounds, egg fungus, fin and tail rot, as written on its bottle.

Lifewithpets as far as water change is concerned, I change 50% water every day for his 5 gallon.

Special C That’s sadly not going to have much of an impact. The more betta fish people buy, the more the stores bring in. You might get lucky if you can show that the bettas in stock are sick or injured and get a discount but that’s about it.

I tried this and had unfortunately fatal results. The sick fish from Walmart survived a very long quarantine, recovered completely, and then stressed to death after fighting, even days after I sepparated them. I know LifeWithPets has had successful sororities with minimal fighting, but honestly, I think I'd suggest keeping them in their own separate homes. I'm still pretty convinced that the girls I bought would have died in those store conditions if I had not bought them up so I have no regrets on that-- their water was thick and brown! Absolutely cruel! I wouldn't blame anyone for rescuing them. But I am sad I tried to house them together and ultimately failed them in the end. If I had kept them separated, they'd probably still be here and happy. The male a picked up at the same time (a small runted yellowed blob with finrot in water so dark you couldn't see through the cup) is still here and doing well! He never did get all that pretty, but he's alive! I guess what I'm getting at is make sure you have a plan b for housing your girls. If you have the space to keep them separate, it's probably better to just do that instead, but you may have better results like this channel has had! I really don't know. Once was hard enough.

I have to agree with what has already been said. The more people buy from stores where they don’t care well for the bettas, the more bettas the store will get. I wouldn’t put the females together. They’ve already had a rough start if they’re in bad conditions so to put them in a sorority will only compound their stress.
