Critics and experts analysed that scene and all came to the conclusion that Bette forced herself on Tina against her will, even if Tina submitted later, and were ashamed of Ilene Chaiken for portraying lesbian domestic rape as a trivial matter and not even leaving a hotline number for victims at the end of the episode like most writers do. Some people may argue and say that it was angry sex, but that would've been the case if they both ended up having sex while fighting, not one forcing herself on and the other shouting "No!" Laurel Holloman most likely said what she was told to say. She can't exactly say it was rape, because Bette would become less popular. But anyone with one brain cell who is not blinded by the sex scenes knows perfectly well that Bette raped Tina.

@@Daemontagg And don't forget, one of the original black jurors for OJ Simpson, Jeanette Harris, was a victim of domestic rape, but she hid it so she could be on the jury. When she was found out, she said it wasn't rape and they just had a fight, but it didn't stop her from being dismissed, because it was rape. Just because a rape victim says it wasn't rape, it doesn't mean it wasn't rape. Sure, Laurel Holloman's an actress, but she isn't an expert or a lawmaker, she can't just say her character wasn't raped when she very clearly was.

The reason marja doesn't have them together in gen q, is because Laurel Holloman was available to do the show at the time. She had prior commitments with her art.

@@f3546 Thats one reason why I think their time has passed. Too much horrible stuff has happened between them for them to end up together again. It would be far too unrealistic. The bad memories will just make them break up or cheat again, and they will hurt other people in the process like Henry and Jodi. They really screwed Jodi over in seasons 5 and 6.

I actually think it’s sad that the writers fucked up their relationship, I would like to see them in a healthy relationship that didn’t have that much drama the whole series. I loved their chemistry and their characters (if they weren’t so toxic). Tbh I would like to see a lesbian relationship that isn’t ruined lol. Like I was still rooting for them to get back together. I think I would like it better if they didn’t have SO MUCH drama and just be in a healthy relationship.

She made a fool of Jodi in front of the whole circle of friends and everyone went to comfort Bette and Tina, the two liars and cheaters, while no one went to comfort Jodi. Jodi may not have been perfect, no one is, but at least she didn't lie or cheat. That was Bette and Tina. For all her flaws, Jodi was still the victim of those two selfish women and she took revenge on one of them. You think the video was unforgivable?
