The intro is supposed to represt sauls old tapes as "gene" rewatches them now that we have concluded the saul era there's nothing left to watch hence the ending to the tape "intro". also the tapes get more corrupted the later into the show this being the end

As someone who slipped on a wet driveway while taking out the trash, believe me, I can understand how one might be down for a while. Thank goodness it wasn't a head injury, but the force with which the concrete hit my back, I was down for about 60 seconds I think. Looking back, I'm really lucky that all I experienced was soreness for like a day or two and my spine was ok

"Whatever you think is supposed to happen, I'm telling you the exact reverse opposite of that is gonna happen" -- Jesse Pinkman Pretty much what I thought watching this episode and it being so drastically different from what came before. BUT... not a bad episode at all and completely self-contained. By the time they were ready to film the sixth season, the original actor who played Jeff (Don Harvey) in the previous two season openers was already committed to another show, so they brought in Pat Healy, who had tried out for the character originally and was their runner up choice. Leading up to this episode, AMC aired quick commercials that called back to the openings with the Jeff character in his cab, now using Pat Healy in place of Don Harvey in an attempt to acclimate viewers to the change ahead of time.

This sixth season is as excellent as all the others, but it's amazing how we get the perfect connection between the before and after of Breaking Bad, ending in reverse, less frantic than it began. This episode is Saul's soul connecting with his most Slippin' Jimmy self. It's tense, funny and exquisite.

You didn' t recognize her, but Marion is played by Carol Burnett, a legendary actress and comedian. She was a huge fan of both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. One day, while she was being driven to an event, her limo driver, Jason, mentioned that he also drove Vince Gilligan. Carol asked Jason to pass along her admiration for Vince’s work.Jason did just that, and Vince was thrilled to hear that Carol Burnett was a fan. He even attended a celebration for the 50th anniversary of The Carol Burnett Show at Carol’s invitation. This event led to Vince and Carol meeting in person, and they hit it off immediately. Over time, Vince and Carol, along with their respective partners, became friends and had several dinners together. During one of these dinners, Carol expressed her desire to be part of Better Call Saul, even if it was just for a single line. Vince took this to heart and eventually called Carol to offer her a role in the final episodes of the series. Carol was thrilled and joined the cast, playing the character Marion in the last four episodes. She was SPECTACULAR. She deserved an Emmy and would've won one for Best Guest Actress but appeared in too many episodes to qualify. She actually got nominated this year for Best Supporting Actress on another show becoming the oldest in Emmy history to get a nomination. She is 91 years old.

Slippin' Jeffie ? Just in case you didn't notice, but the end of last season that showed the guy in the mall and taxi driver that recognized Saul, is Jeff, but played by a different actor.

The recast of Jeff was jarring at first, but after a while I thought it went well. From Saul/Gene’s POV, he was a potentially dangerous individual, but then we eventually learn he’s just some regular guy.

This in my top 5 favorite episodes of BCS. Bob Odenkirk should have won an Emmy for this episode alone. Plus, it's Carol Freaking Burnett!!!

This is such an underrated one in the series. Just a self contained heist episode, very enjoyable and unique. The next 3 episodes will be a whirlwind of emotions.

The Cinnabon montage is one of the most underrated of the series. Excellent editing, it reminds me a lot of the Inflatable montage. The music choice is also phenomenal, and in a meta sense extremely fitting: it’s called “Jim on the Move” (of course, our protagonist is Jimmy), it was from the old Mission Impossible TV show (very fitting for the heist like nature of the episode) and was composed by a guy named Lalo. Specifically Lalo Schifrin, who was the namesake for Lalo Salamanca And since you asked on time frame, my guess is it had to have been at least a few weeks, based on the sheer number of football games they talked about. And hard to grow that close to somebody in just a single week

Check out ozark after this very simular in each episode gets better and you will be hooked from first episode,(just get ready to blur out a lot of scenes).

It has nothing to do with the money. Or even the fact that Saul loves to do this. This is all about "fixing" it so Jeffrey can't turn him in. Remember when he was in Jeffrey's cab and called the Vacuum guy, and decided to fix it himself?

You should check out Person of Interest or Warehouse 13 for one of your next shows. both very good!

I remember alot of people disliked this episode when it came out, fair to say its really grown on me over the year

We start the series missing Saul and wanting Saul. We finish the series missing Jimmy and wanting Jimmy 😢

The intro bit has been slowly degrading in quality ever since the start of the show, like a VHS tape that has been played over and over again. I think the tape finally broke.

Snowfall is my recommendation for a new series.

i HIGHLY recommend reacting to THE SOPRANOS next, its the show the inspired vince gilligan to create the BB BCS universe and the only reason BB was picked up. personally its the best american tv show ever made and most would put it in their top 3

Yeah this episode threw me off a bit...kind of a disappointing epsiode after such a run of amazing episodes right before this. Probably my least favorite ep of BCS.

Yeah, afraid I didn’t care for the “Gene” story and personally consider E9 the end of the series. There were some strong moments but imho it makes little sense and there was a MUCH better story that could have been told.
