Better, Cheaper than Backbone One for iPhone 15? Unboxing and Impressions...LeadJoy M1C+ (2024) 

Honestly the are almost identical. The LEApjoy company doesn’t seem very big so maybe worth it to get the backbone just for better customer support and community. But the subscription service if backbone is hella annoying

yeah solid. to get proper cooling though we'll need some help from Apple or to do some mod. the glass just isn't a good conductor. and can't draw the heat from the SOC fast enough.

if you don't intend to get a fan and use a fan (which usually needs to be plugged in to a battery or power adapter) then I'd get the backbone. Leadjoy seems to be a pretty small company so dunno how good their support will be if there are problems. The backbone is a bit lighter too cuz it doesn't have giant copper conductor on the back. Supposedly. It comes with some rubber pieces to make it fit better with a case but those rubber pieces are pretty flimsy so it’s not a tight fit

That would defeat the purpose of the fan plate though?

I installed a silicon back cover (this conducts heat very well) along with a heat transfer pad on the back of the back cover. I think it will conduct heat well. What I'm not satisfied with is that the Leadjoy M1B version for iPhone 14 pro makes me have to remove the case every time I use it. I have now switched to iPhone 15 pro and if Leadjoy M1C+ does not work with the case, I will skip this controller. Thank for your answer ❤

Yeah the iPhone is so amazing what it can handle ! there's a few games that really heat up the phone especially if you are charging at the same time which you need to for longer gaming sessions. Honkai star rail can run 120fps and so can call of duty which totally burn up even my iPhone 15 Pro Max. I have to do a more scientific test to see if the fan really helps or not though :D

I just tried it. it doesn't work. subscribe to my channel if that was helpful :) the right stick worked to look around, but the left stick didn't do anything for walking. and the menu didn't have any settings or options for controller.

yeah! I have both, the lead joy though supports cooling fans which is a bonus

its still on sale for 75 bucks (the backbone). was 69 during black friday

@@VisionProGamingGuy I found out recently Gen 2 allows u to use a case over it too. Kinda defeats the purpose of the leadjoy if you’re gonna have a fan but I don’t game hard core on my phone anyway lol

@@dannggg yeah I’m starting to run more testing on the effectiveness of fans and to be honest there is only so much they can do because the glass back of the iPhone isn’t good at drawing heat from the SOc anyways

very similar yes! but they added functionality of the cooler fan support which is cool. they also made the grip a bit bigger and you don't have to deal with any ads to upselll you to subscribe to backbone one+
