I vividly remember joking around to some fella in Kohl's, saying "it's DJ Bino - Thinking Of Loneliness" or something in those lines then saying the real song name.
If you ever felt like you wanted to play in the older times of Roblox, I recommend playing Retrostudio. It might not make you feel the same emotions you felt while actually playing in that era, but it's still a clever way to experience the older parts of the game itself.
So about “old Roblox”, there’s really 5 eras of roblox “Low ground” - 2006-2011 “Pre-boom” - 2011-2016 “Boom Era/Golden Age of Roblox” - 2016-2019 “Mainstream Era” - 2019-2022 “Post-Boom” 2022+ Low ground is simply the start, when roblox first began, less than 50,000 place visits were accumulated across all games, and they were very basic, although, some major veterans come from then, the game was much worse, games were simple, it seems like it’d belong in a creepy pasta, and most agree that pre boom is better Pre-boom is in the name, it’s before the boom. The game was picking up and at-least a million accounts had been made, and infrastructure needed for the boom to happen was being built such as the Xbox version, although this is when a lot of people say Roblox peaks, almost unanimously people usually agree to the boom era, games like prison life and lumber tycoon 2 were made here (although they truly peaked in the boom era), game quality became bearable and the marketplace finally was created The boom era is when most of us came, games like prison life lumber tycoon or in later days jailbreak booga booga etc, generally most classics and originals came from this era, the “studio” was still a very recent concept and most were used just to make armies and airline groups, although some bad things happened (like tix and guest removal), generally it was the best age of Roblox The Mainstream era, now Roblox is a name known by almost every child, and for a reason. It has nearly 3 billion accounts now, and that has meant for change. Lawsuits have come flying in, finally instituting laws implementing copyright and such, but worse, the rise of the studio. Most games must be backed by a studio to afford to advertise, the front page does not show good games anymore and works as a marketing board, as-well as elimination of most popular, truly bringing Roblox down to the knees of the advertiser, this means money sells, so comes in the Trash Junk era, Trash Junk games are easily monetisable, simple bright games that can be easily made in a weekend by a good enough team, and easily have a way of progression or playing that links well into Robux, this is the basis of modern Roblox, and with changes to the games page and corporatisation of Roblox, some say it has really lost its spirit. Another thing of the Mainstream era, Roblox corporatised, basically they were listed on the stock market and became an official company, they went into NFTs and meta verse full blast, getting media praise, and companies are legally required to focus on only profit or they can be sued. This could be a cause for a later downfall There is one other era I didn’t mention and add now 18 hours after the original comment, we’re in the slope off era, generally this is the Post-Boom era, while yes we are still in the mainstream era at its core, the pandemic ending, various much more controversial claims and aging of Boom Erans has led to a drop back down to mid 2019 activity levels, Roblox’s stock is plummeting and is widely hated more than the Mainstream era, not only this but Trash-Junk is the only way to survive in Roblox nowadays, it is essentially a progression of the Mainstream era. In the case anything else happens, I only see a possible “Downfall Era”, when Roblox truly fades, bankrupts or just ceases to exist So, be grateful you lived through the boom era, I saw a comment here before, made in 2019, it was about the situation of meep city and jailbreak, and how it was really challenging the status quo: people could tell at the time, but it didn’t became as blatantly obvious, it truely was the tipping point, just be grateful we had the years we did have. I'm 14 and I was in the boom era. I miss those days. But recently I've finally been getting back into Roblox for the first time in a while. I'm replaying all of the classic games I used to play back in the day.

@@Rexerity yeah, the older songs are pretty nice. i generally prefer old songs (ranging from 1940's love songs to 1998 Half Life soundtrack songs) but some of the newer music is pretty nice.
Still my fav Roblox music till this day, its sounds so simple but have a great meaning behind. I rememner hearing this track back in Simon Says lobby and many other lobbies as well.

If missing old roblox has taught us anything, its that we should enjoy the things we have now before we can’t. Seriously, this is such a perfect example of not taking things for granted, and as many of us are still somewhat young, its a really good time to learn this before its too late.
This track makes you feel free, daydream about the good old days, it reminds you that you spent your childhood/life well. Even if the past was the best, you can't get discouraged for the future, do your best to make the most of it, just like the past

I joined in 2011, you seriously cant understand how much I miss "Old Roblox." It was one of the best games I ever played, and to watch it simply over time degrade into a much more disaster of a game broke my heart, I grew up with old roblox, I cant even recognize the current game now.

love how everyone was talking about how they miss the old roblox from 2007-2009 or 2011-2012 (rarely 2013) back in 2016-2018 and now they're saying they miss roblox back in 2016-2018, truly a lesson that you should try enjoy the moment you have right now before it's gone.
i joined in 2011 and ive had that exact experience. it's so weird to me seeing people celebrate 2016-19, an era i associate with greed and a loss of community, being called the "golden era". it really shows that a lot of our perception is mostly made on it being enjoyable as kids and the nostalgia from that (not to say it's solely that). it'll only be a few years until you see people missing the 2020's roblox days and how bad it is in 2030. it's a natural loop of a game targeted to children when that audience eventually grows up and the new generation comes in
I will admit that i didnt play that old of a version of roblox for the first time. but seeing its gameplay, i can see its charm back then. Its somehow nostalgic for someone that didnt play much of pre-2013 roblox :D
KKK StrikeBack Some people werent old enough to play 2009, I was a mere 6 years old at that time. I joined roblox when I was pretty much 8 years old 2011/2012. The account I made is terminated now but I still have my other 2012 account in use. Also, 2013 was worse than 2016, at least 2016 games look really nice. But it isnt the same as playing all those now broken games from 2012.
although i joined roblox in early 2015 i always heard this song playing in my favorite games. it was awesome to hear it and ill cherish the fact this was made. R.I.P. audio, you ended up being better off alone in 2022. this is why i barely play roblox anymore because the community was actually nicer other than other games where usually its competitive. most of the reason why i find out people are toxic is by slenders, possible pedophiles and just competitive games. i remember being friends with a couple of slenders who were nice. not all hope is lost at this moment as you cant just hate on slenders immediately. you just have to understand the behaviour of a lot of them to get along. im just gonna end this comment here as its extremely long.

Its pain when you realize that time can't be reversed, and that you grow up so quickly. Even though I made my ACC in 2017, it still felt so great playing compared to now.

The times when roblox was acctually elite, I remember coming home from shcool rushing to get changed load up my dads HP laptop and start playing fe2 mm2 Arsenal, build a boat for treasure, adopt and raise a child, robloxian life,flee the facility all of those games. The times when roblox was elite and really fun,something I could use to escape the real world and enjoy myself,now roblox has turned from these times and exceeded to the futuristic side. Builders club was the best membership, if I could have one more time just to experience this I would. I’ll miss you old roblox 😢
On March 19, 2023I hit my 10th anniversary of playing Roblox. It just hit me that I’ve been playing Roblox for a decade now. All the old memories I made with friends really helped me grown as a person and I sometimes miss the hood old times of prison life, natural disasters, tower battles, etc. thank you roblox for the memories you have given me and I hope to create more.

Does anybody remember walking around at natural disaster then meeting an pile of Guests jumping on each other with R6 and your just chill when viewing the survivors that won and you got tired so you left the game and searched for horror games then you found Jason in Area 51, Slender man, Jeff the Killer and then you got too scared so you searched instead of war games, then you found Boys vs Girls war game that many played before. And you saw the Tix Logo and you felt that: Awwww I wanna earn all of them...:c...........: but today...... yes. TODAY everyone its ignoring each other and you wanna get friends but can’t. So then you found Meep City, Adopt Me, and all that others and you just found kids who’s flexing with their robux so you just ask them that robux isn’t everything and then that kid is getting pissed and salty that you just leave the game and searched for old roblox and you Found this

it was great but not better than new roblox, but there was this thing called joy met a lot of cool friends on it. but hey maybe 2022-2024 might be considered "old" roblox one day, and you'll be nostalgic for it too. but all I ask is to enjoy and value every second your having on a game we all grew up in whenever your in your free time playing it, it was my mistake for not valuing the good moments I had before it was all over

I remember when i would get home from school, turn on my parent's computer and start playing survive the airplane crash or one of the old zombie survival games. The good old days, when roblox was more fun. The nostalgia makes me tear up now that i look back. Sadly all fun comes to an end at some point.

It’s so weird finally hearing this song in high quality after hearing the extremely low quality ROBLOX version of this for so long. It’s not like this is worse or anything (this version is actually way better imo), it just sounds different, y’know? I’ll start this off with saying that I’m not a “OG” Roblox Player, I started playing in 2014 on a guest account [And rarely played it] Until i got an account in Late 2016. Even if i wasn’t one of those people who listened to this during Roblox’s Golden Area, This song has a place in my heart.
I joined Roblox in 2013. This is really nostalgic. I do miss older Roblox, but Roblox still has a lot of fun in it and I still play really often. Hell, you can still play a few old games which is awesome.

as a player sense 2012 this song reminds me of back then time was so much simpler Roblox condo games didnt exist yet, oders werent roaming the streets, roblox wasnt a stock market, and it was just fun, i remember the week xbox roblox came out cus i was so happy that i could finally play on something better than my family computer, i remember the day tix was gone forever, the day xbox lost their chat, the day where roblox went public as a company, i faintly remember the April fools hack, and when roblox started to fall off when they got sued time and time again, when they ruined audio, changed the death sound, and here we are today after all of that and more, we are just listening to an old remix off a old song, talking about our pasts when we joined and everything. I know it wont happen but i just wish i could go back and see these times again... thats why i only play games like retro studio...
