I have 1 acre in the backwoods. I took what this man said and tested it. I didnt do any beds, no plots. Strictly hinge cuts and forming a directed path for them to walk on through my acre. I've completely controlled and manipulated them with their access and travel paths. This man has simplified the aspect of hunting by logical thinking. Truly amazing.

We have 13 acres in SW MI. that doesn't hold bucks year around. Tony is 100% right with his small property concepts. We use it as a social hub with plenty of mock scrapes, small food plots and easy entry/exit stand locations. It's a dynamite place during the Rut.

15 years ago we didn’t have a lot of baiting in the area I hunted in Ohio before all the local Amish started going to this guys camps in Michigan. Wasn’t long they were full blown baiters. It used to be hunting property needed some acreage to make it worth the investment. Today we are surrounded by 10 different properties that range from 4- 100+ acres. Most of them have multiple bait piles. With increase in hunting pressure and lower kill criteria, it’s hard to get a 125-140 inch 2-3yr old buck to survive. The only bucks that consistently reach maturity now are the rag horns. From 2018-2022 I shot 3 bucks on this farm. Average age was 4.5 yr old average points was 7pt average score was 105” meanwhile the neighboring hunters are consistently shooting 2-3yr old PnY deer 125-140” Dunno what else to do so I guess I’ll shoot the mature cull deer and they shoot the pretty looking ones lol 🤷‍♂️

Love what this guy is talking about, but talking about planting invasive and non native plants even if they're extremely damaging to surrounding lands (even though he doesn't talk directly about the damage some of these plants cause)? That's kinda whack. He mentioned being a true woodsman, that involves the preservation and conservation of native life.

@@bobo44donemilking51 I'm paying plenty of attention to Lapratt. Did you know that he sued some of his past clients accusing them of sharing his "secrets"? That frivolous case was thrown out of court because his "secrets" were deemed to be common knowledge. His reputation was marginal before that bone headed move. After that he lost all credibility.

OMG this was ridiculously good. This dude reminds me of myself in so many ways. I started trapping in the early to mid 70's and learned a lot about deer in the process. I didn't start deer hunting until later, but I used to skip holidays and everyone's birthday to go hunting every day too. I learned a lot back then, but now my first sit isn't until mid to late October. The 20th being the magic date to even consider a first sit. I have a small property as well, but I always shoot the big ones and the neighbors all hate me and accuse me of poaching 🤣. So many other parallels with this dude. It's actually uncanny. But I'm a lot better looking 🤣 Never even heard of this guy before, but very cool 👍

He really makes a ton of sense. And I know what he is saying when he says get in tune with all your surroundings nothing helps you as much as learning to put the slip on another predator we are human but predators of the highest level!! But if there is any doubt in your mind. Step out of the box and build a few sets for coyotes fox even wolves if they are in your state another is bobcat any of the above isn't easy . When you're comfortable with sets and begin to find full sets then you will be able to understand how much difference between the predators and a whitetail buck a hell of a lot. If you don't have the choice of being taught then take the nolage and work to better this proseiger sent alone with Coyote wolves bobcat fox!!! A tip off the top is rubber gloves that come to your elbow when you get consistent at it I can easily see his point excellent pod cast. You all seem locked on gaining as much knowledge as you can.awsome!!!! l
