I really love jumping into AE and trying to figure out how you did these animations before you actually reveal the sauce, forces you to learn so much in such a short amount of time. Man you keep impressing and inspiring my work and also motivating me to be a better editor and visual storyteller
I've been watching all your videos, i gotta say your esthetic is next level dude, I used to have my content be all contrasty and punchy but that looked obnoxious. subtlety is key to great looking stuff, thanks mapal.
I watch a lot of tutorials but only sub to a couple of tutorial channels and this is one them. One of the best and succinct that I’ve found out there, keep it coming bro 👊
Love you more for this. ❤️ Also watched your old videos, you know your game man. Would love to see more 3d camera tutorials because that's a bit tricky.
i like the tutorials, but you probably recording on a 4k monitor right? It is hard to read when you are not zoomed in. For example, i can barely read the frames on the timeline. at minute 07:09, would be cooler if we could read it better :D
Literally learn so much from about motion design from these tutorials, It's like the equivalent of learning blender from the donut guy haha. You didn't use it in this video, but I was wondering which sound effect you use for the film rolling/adjusting/clicking you usually use? I've heard it in a few videos. Have looked everywhere on Artlist and Epidemic for the perfect one but that one just scratches an itch haha
Hahahah that's hilarious I love that! If it's for the film burn transition then it's from acidbite BUT there is a sexy click type sound I use pretty much in every project. It's from Artlist (use link in bio :)) and it's this sound: Artlist Foley - Vintage Cameras - Opening Hood Polaroid SX70
Why does your face footage have little black glitches like its broken i think i have seen it in a couple of ur videos, just thought would tell you, thank you man you are a life saver 🙌🏻
Hmm that's odd! Must be something when I uploaded it to RU-vid the file itself on my computer looks fine! Thanks for letting me know. Might have to try a different codec
Bro, can you recreate "Raymond Chin" video styles? I have attracted his video style, especially I curious the secrets of his style video. Hopefully, you can recreate it. Thank u
great video! but I do have one question - is your screen that big or did you somehow scale down all of after effects? if you did so - please let me know how you did it! :)
@@mapal I saw your other video about the pro art screen later that day and figured it out by myself! anyways thank you for replying and keep up the good work! love your content! :)
also, a kind suggestion, please consider using 1080p resolution on your monitor while recording, i have to squint real hard to see the details on the video. thanks.
I feel like im learning so much from your videos but when i try to go into ae i just forget everything. Any tips? How long have you been doing this for?
Best advice I can give in terms of remembering is to use it OFTEN! Focus on one thing and use it in a lot of projects (preferably in a few different ways i.e. wiggle expression). I've been doing creative stuff for over 10 years but After Effects for about 4 ish years maybe
hi, sorry for asking this question again. how much is difference btwn 64gb and 128gb ram in after effect? can you say it in percentage? for example when i get 32gb ram (before 16gb), my sense my edit speed become better about 40-50%.
Hey Mapal! I usually don't comment, but method 1 left me confused. So basically when I apply echo effect on a text composition I get great echo but only with where text is scaled at the beggining, but when I increase a scale of text composition itself, echo doesn't work as it does in your tuttorial, like at all. I'd love to know what can be the problem to that mistery. And also, I'm huge fan of your tutorials, thank you for your work!
I know echo has been a bit buggy lately. Sometimes it doesn’t seem to work how it used to. It might work by enabling collapse transformation/continuously rasterise
@@mapal thanks for reply, the software looks really nice! I am thinking of making premiere pro tutorials as I am super efficient here, but my english kinda sucks so I might need to do a lot of cuttings.. Which would be easier to do in premiere pro, but Id imagine I would need to do all that kind of stuff in the screen recording application itself correct?
First part of this is actually just that (title card from a recent video)! In general the process is pretty similar. Just try to get a vibe from the video and then do a simple animation and add a bunch of texture
Aaaahh the power of nulls and the transform effect! That's pretty much all there is to it. If you want to the project file it's available for paid members on my Patreon
Greetings Mapal, I have been an animator for 7 years. Despite my animation skills, my illustration skills are very bad. Since I can't draw, I think I can't improve myself in animation anymore. I don't know how to get over this thought. And I'm hesitant to open an Instagram or RU-vid channel because I can't draw. I don't open channels because I think I'll get locked out after a while. Do you have a suggestion? Best regards.
Go for it. Don’t let that little bit of doubt stop you. No one can do it all and no one expects you to. You don’t have to be the best to share your work or teach what you know. No matter what stage you’re at there’s always someone better AND worse than you.
If you not finding value then go find a creator that puts out as much value on a consistent basis for free as Mapal. You won’t be able too. Enjoy the free game or move on
