Wizard class is stupid good! I love it. Same with Defiler of Vigor! I'm surprised it hasn't gone up a bunch. I bought several when it was low, but it really hasn't gone up. The priest and boots are solids as well. I can see your points with Wipe Away, but it feels like something that wouldn't make the cut in a deck of mine unless it's synergistic...
For 2 more mana, Mirror strike is a fun alternative to deflecting palm especially against Voltron types since he dies from his own commander damage lol.
I picked up Drivnod for an ultrabudget aristocrats deck and ended up cutting it. Unlike ETBs, death triggers require a little more set up so I found myself just not casting it in favor of doing things to get my engine set up, use my engine, or rebuild. It felt less like a panharmonicon than I wanted it to. Now on the other hand I've seen Defiler of Vigor do WORK. Card is bonkers.
Very good picks. I always love seeing playable split-second cards. I like Candlekeep Inspiration as an underrated go-wide finisher in decks that make a lot of tokens, like Talrand, or maybe a Simic Slime Against Humanity deck
The most entertaining part of making a deck is making a good one on an extremely low budget. If you have all of the money cards and you splatter somebody, you don't even get a golf clap.
I don't... I don't see how any of these stop the main cedh combos in thassas oracle and underworld breach. At best, it buy you a turn. At worst, nothing is worth bouncing and you just wasted 3 mana in a turn cycle for CEDH.
This can really mess up breach. After they discard their hand and make the blue mana for brain freeze if they don’t have any red available this will stop the combo dead in its tracks. Also buying a turn is very close to wining. It’s also very good against stax decks. Cause you can get the stax piece off the board without anything stopping you
Spike Cannibal ~0.35$ - gets ALL +1/+1 conunters on the battlefield for just 3mana false cure ~3$ - If you hate livegain Eon Hub ~1.35$ - If you don't need an upkeep, just skip it :3
3:30 actually if the trigger is missed and the controller realises it was missed (within a turn), it's up to the opponents whether or not the trigger is retroactively put onto the stack. Being a 'may' trigger is irrelevant
Here’s my BTaB: Balancing Act. I play in a meta with out of control token and/or value engine players, and me being a control/combo player, my board states are minimal. Balancing Act evens out the playing field for less than $2!
Yea but opponent will still spam their combo as long as they have priority. You can't cast Wipe Away before they finish place infinite damage on stack.
