In this book review, I go over some themes and characters from the lesser-known novella Passing. It's a classic of the Harlem Renaissance and American literature at large, and I was not disappointed.

Great review! It's been a few years since I've read it, so I had forgotten some details. I loved it, but that ending really threw me. It seems that literature from the 1920s or so often feature shocking, almost irrational endings. However, Quicksand is amazing. I look forward to your thoughts on that.

It was definitely giving "Dateline episode" :D I'm so glad to hear Quicksand is good. I'm going to see if my library has it!
