Exactly what I’m thinking. My custom PC that cost me right under $2000, got a much better benchmark score than both his PC and that atrocious laptop. 12848.9 using the same benchmark software 😂
@@houssamalucad753When you can get a 14-20hr battery life on an amazing HDR display and no degration in performance from switching from plugged in to only on battery, that is a big deal. I intentionally specced out my old XPS 15 with a 1080p display - getting the 4k oled will drop my battery from 10hrs to 4-6hrs. You're not wrong there are PCs that are similar to MacBooks. The problem is they can't deliver those promises while on battery.
@@PuffyfishRBXyou must be very stupid imma say something your stupid mind can handle when its plugged it it has all the performance but when it isnt plugged in it doesnt have slot of performance bc the battery wattage is like maybe 30 watts and rhe power connecter is like 60 watts fucking dumb imbicelle
@@PuffyfishRBX Actually you're the noob Here, because in a comparison between the M2 macbook air to the Dell XPS 15, When he unplugged the laptop (s) ,A 20% Win for the XPS 15 became a 40% win for The Mac.
They are also very expensive when properly specked. Id rather use my new custom AMD pc with a 4090 and 12 tb of M.2 storage, 64gb ram and 32 cores. Not cheap at all but wont shatter when I drop it because its staying in my studio.
@@mikaelbiilmann6826 surface studio isn't a great windows laptop as it's a 2 in 1 and don't make any sense as you can either buy a MacBook and iPad air or any win laptop and any Android tablet at the price of 1 surface laptop
The problem with laptops are that if you once use MacBook and experience this touchpad and screen and also ability to work without turning fans on it’s hard to choose other one.
The surface book has got to be the ugliest and shittiest surface device of them all. It was a wise thing to get rid of it at my Uni every single person that bought it can be heard cursing loudly in classes because of the frustration the device causes. True story
I still have my surface book 3, but the way the studio laptop is built makes much more sense. Loved the SB lineup but the studio lineup is just way better
lmao, you need to upgrade it, one thing what you can try if you want is blackbird software and use app called update block or samething, i used win 10 and samehow it changed itself so it went slow, but after i used blackbird soft its again good fast
Comparing a laptop to a standard desktop is still wild to me. Yes they do similar things but they serve totally different purposes. Plus I think Apple gets a better rap when it comes to laptops because of Mac OS. Windows is alright but it loves to be a pain sometimes.
@@2COLD118 benchmarks are a fixed way to see how things perform on the benchmark. applications require different power and needs for devices and isn't a fixed test.
@@VSkylo I understand your point, having a higher benchmark score in both efficiency and performance means applications should be running even better, yes different applications requires different need, but it shouldn't be a problem for the processor as the single-core and multi-core are well equipped for what ever you throw at it. Benchmark just gives you a simplified number for us to understand where improvement has been made
So they might not mean anything, but without being able to tell how fast a product has gotten through benchmark tests, I think we would have a really hard time telling the difference between the current and previous generations of the product
@@2COLD118 yeah that is true as well as some applications not being optimized for certain rigs. like minecraft or games that require cpu performance. some games will run higher on lower end cpus due to them going 100% while some higher end cpus just make it past 60%.
Surfaces have a very bad track record for durability and general problems. My brother had the newest surface laptop and had to get 3 returns within the first month
That’s like saying my phone is a bad laptop. A MacBook isn’t made for gaming so who cares if it’s good at gaming. It has the raw power to just no one has ported games yet. Someone got cyberpunk to run at 120 max settings on a m3 MacBook but ok
Switched from a Mac to this almost a year ago for university and it was hard to get used to windows but the computing power and graphics card are far superior especially when it comes to creating in unity/unreal
Mac os is a browser level os light weight OS probably 🤔 whereas windows is heavyweight, but the real thing matters is the freedom in windows os to do anything u want
It really depends if he bought it this year or a few years back. Tho it can be pretty questionable on what he spent 4000 Usd for. Cuz a 4090 costs like 1.2k? It varies. But thats one of the most expensive cards at realease. (Atleast in gaming) And theres no way in hell he spent like 1000 dollars on a pc case or rgb. I kinda get if its watercooled but still no.
@@Sacraficed you might be onto something there. I just assumed it was brand new when I wrote the comment but of course it might already be a few years old.
surface computers are great, the only issue is WINDOWS, they need to make a separate Windows OS for Surface. The same windows experience can be fetched from a 200$ laptop. macOS is great but there are not much off-store software available for macOS and, I shouldn't say this, you cant get almost any cracked software, forcing you to take up monthly subscription, for instance adobe CC
If price wasnt a factor, yes. Although difficult, the SSD is upgradable, and the battery is also easily replacable compared to the Mac. Unless Nand Flash Chip soldering becomes an option in the future, the current gen Mac's from 2016 and up have a lifespan that is limited, and will die.
Its not just about performing good but how much power does it use to perform that score. M3 literally performs 15-20% better than a laptop with i9 13 series and 4090 rtx with only using 50 kw while i9 uses 165.
The top spec is 13th gen i7 , 4060, 64gb ram which can be had for less than 1.5k from Lenovo instead of near 4k. (also this thing will cook an egg and has tragic performance for the components).
This is not a tank there is no Mac alternative I personally feel the XPS 16 the new one is close like all round performance design screen and like just the premium industrial feel, the surface is close but the performance is really not there and 3000 for a 4060 which like 60w is crazy
