Great review Shane! I know you have reviewed other wireless systems in the past, like for example the Holly land 150 about 6 months ago. But I am wondering, if you still have a lot of wireless kits still, I am thinking that you could someday do a "meta"-review where you compare all the systems. And provide your conclusions 👍🙂. While that is giving you even more to do 🙄 it was just an idea that might be helpful. My work bought me a Hollyland, I have bought a Boya shotgun and Deity V Lav myself.
Seems to be a very good mic and I'm about to buy it, but the version with just one mic (S1). My only concern is the durability of the battery over time. I trust the brand. I've been using Boya BY M1 mics for years and never had a problem. But sometimes 6 mts of cable are uncomfortable to manage. Thank you so much for the review!
@Geeky Nerdy Techy Boya By-Xm6 S2 Or Synco G2 A2 ? Which one would you suggest in the price point ? And is there anything else you would suggest in the same or less price point ?
If you have a 3 into 1 charger, isn't the charge spilt 3 ways (takes x3 as long to charge)? Very impressed - in the UK you can buy a set for £149 - and the 7 hour battery life is very good!
Hello I enjoyed very much your Lumix GH5 M2 video, very informative. Have you tried the PicoMic 2 from picogear mics yet? they are much smaller and looks that they are very good as well
Great video thank you. We’re in Bangkok atm and these are going for just over £100. It was between rode wireless go ii and the new DJI but tbh for £100 new and what you get it just blow the other 2 out of the water.
Hi! thanks for the great review! Just have a question: does the low and high pass filter actually apply when it is connected to a lavalier or headset, or is it applied only to the internal microphone? I was also wondering this for other similar mics like wireless go
Brilliant video presentation, sharp to the point, well illustrated points. As a non or new wireless mic chap, it was superb. I am now off to buy one using your links below. Question, is it possible to set up more than 2 mics? If I want 4 mics as I have 4 people talking on an out door tour, I guess I need another system. Thank you.
It's a two pack maximum. You could rig up a dual 3.5mm audio adapter. Check to see if Saramonic has any wher you can plug in 2 x 3.5mm cables and mix that into the camera. Some cameras have 4 channels of audio but you'll still need an adapter to run two packs.
I'm looking for a mic for my go pro just for vlogging/ travel reasons. We are not professionals and just want watchable holiday videos for memories Would you suggest the synco or boya? I was originally looking at dji and Rode but they are a little pricey and people still find issues with them... I like the synco but watched a video about how if the mute Button gets pressed you don't really realise until after Is there no indication anywhere even on the mic if its on mute?
I have the S1. Yet have to test it. One missed opportunity is the lack of a charging stand. The Tx an Rx are prepared for this, so why don’t supply it. The pouch will certainly give scratches on the housing.
Great review! It made me buy one :) May I please have link to the charge cable you are talking about. And does it take the same amount of time to charge? Thanks in advance.
I’m planning on using mics for my Sony camera, but I also want to plug that receiver into my iPhone, and I’m noticing that it doesn’t actually have any lightning adapters which is odd to me given todays phone types. I’m assuming a simple 3.5mm to light night adapter would do the trick?
I have heard that boya xm6 s2 is really prone to wifi router signals and the audio is disturbed when using indoors with wifi signals. can anyone confirm plz.
This unit works fine. Unless you're standing next to a 2.4ghz router, you will be fine. All of these units can potentially have complications within 1-2m of wifi routers.
Hi Geeky! Thanks for the review. I've purchased the same mic and my experience with it so far is that it captures a lot of background noise. Do you have any suggestion on this?
Thank you! Based on your review I have purchased this great product. Can you please tell me what is the name of the soundtrack playing in the background? Cheers!
This looks great. Do you know if I can send 1 stereo source from 1 transmitter to 2 or more receivers? I would like to use this system as a separate mix wireless monitor system to receive click track to the receiver for music performance for myself and another. Basically reversing its purpose, i want to use 2 receivers getting the same source from 1 transmitter. Hope that makes sense! I appreciate it! Cheers!
Thanks for your review. I note that you have reviewed Saramonic Blink Pro 500 and Rode Go II as well. Keen to know how would you rate them comparative to each other? Look forward to your response.
This is a solid unit. The Rode Wireless is the most complete in terms of features but the Saramonic is the one I use the most and has far better battery life than the Rode. This is right there with the Saramonic in terms of features and quality but without the full features of the Rode Wireless Go II
I bought this the other day and was hoping you'd do a review. Great work as always. I feel this pack is great value. I already have the Rode Wireless Go 2 and was looking for another system as a backup or for when I needed to mic up more than two people.
@@servtheking5245 I primarily mic up 3 to 4 people in my live streams. I use the Rode receiver/transmitters on one camera and the Boya receiver/transmitters on another camera. They work fine together. You could also bring both receivers into an audio recorder. I even use breakout cables sometimes to specifically tweak the individual mics to their appropriate levels in my Zoom H6/F6.
@Yoram Pohl I use the Boya more because I prefer the physical controls on these and don't require, for my non professional needs, the backup recording which the Rode offers.
