Better than Trinidad Carnival!? Vincy Mas 2024 with Mirage Carnival

Carnival is such an important part of the culture of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. 2024 was poised to be the biggest ever but had to be scaled back because of the devastation of Hurricane Beryl. Despite it all, we were able to have a great time on the road for Carnival Tuesday!

In my opinion, Trinidad is without a shadow of a doubt the best carnival destination in the Caribbean! I've attended both and Trini is the real deal!

YES Because it is the original birthplace of carnival in the Caribbean and also the birthplace of the steelpan, give respect where respect is due it all started in Trinidad. Trinidad is the best Carnival in the world.

People really! What does carnival means to you and what is the meaning of carnival? I see its a competition. Where are the values and what do you bring differently? If you know the origin of Carnival and what it is about you all would not be fighting for trophies. It is about a people and their culture and a celebration of far more than what you people are fighting for.

@@LifeinVincy sweetie, I gave up on vincy mass years ago. I remembered traveling to Crop over back then and couldn't dance( BARE CRAP). Fast forward, Cropover is one of the best festivals in the Caribbean. There is no incentives home. Folks are still stuck in the era of elitism. Take a look at the CDC, a bunch of old folks with no vision. Blondie bird and it's 1986 ma's, is still winning band of the year. Vincentians are so talented, however,those given the authority to advance that said talent are too busy trying to stay in the past and being politically correct. I gave up..😀

There probably were less people attending because of the hurricane that just pass so give vincy Mas some grace I'm surprised they pulled it off they did a great job and sometimes less is better.
