Better together: Biaxial rotor blade testing - New methods for more realistic test loads 

Biaxial blade testing is central to future blade test concepts: Fraunhofer IWES combines two fatigue tests (in flapwise and edgewise direction) in one single test. That not only reduces test time it also emulates real operation conditions because the off-axis-directions are tested closer to target loads.
