Better Too Much or Not Enough? Big Vs. Small Knives 

I struggle with the classic "To buy or not to buy" dilemma with regards to the Espada XL. I have the Large, for the Espada is an Icon. However the handle length of the XL is just too much. For longer than six inches, I choose the fixed blade option for carry. Some examples are the Magnum Tanto, Warcraft Tanto, and Marauder. Obviously there are many more, but those I indicated above catch my eye with more of the "cool factor". Personal protection is the lens through which I use for consideration of carry.

I probably fall into the "best of both worlds" thing by carrying more than one. Most often have a Spyderco Manix 2 on me as my large knife (maybe some would consider that medium). Then I will have a Victorinox Super Tinker for smaller tasks and tasks around the Sheeple.
