AirPods connected to apple tv is something to try to believe it’s honestly a game changer. When everyone is in bed and you use AirPods you forget you are wearing them it’s like the sound is coming from the tv not the AirPods.
exactly the same issue I have and its really annoying. recently changed my TV from LG OLED to Samsung OLED and the delay makes it almost impossible to be able to do the sound pass through for normal TV. When just using my HomePods with Apple TV there is no sound delay. very frustrating and one I cant understand why it's doing it. Also anyone else have issues with 2 HomePods in stereo pair constantly having to be rebooted as normally one of them get stuck on playing a certain volume ie if you mute the sound it still plays quietly out of just 1!
I love the Apple ecosystem and how everything connects to each other, especially that eARC feature, along with multi room audio. The Apple TV with the HomePods and AirPods sound amazing. Great video Craig, I really enjoy your content. Have a good week, see you on Saturday. 🙂
Great videos for those new to the platform. I've used the OG HomePod since 2019 and the HomePod mini since 2020 and they've been great in bedrooms and bathrooms. I recently got a 2nd Gen HomePod and loved it so much I got a second for a stereo pair in the living room. Sounds incredible and works great with eARC for use on other TV inputs like the Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
If you want HomePods in your primary viewing space go with the full size. Most bedrooms would benefit from the mini, especially if you have little ones on the other side of the wall. I also believe the full size HomePod is totally worth it for music, assuming you want an all in one solution and already have iPhone Great video Craig
I have an Apple TV 4K which I paired with two HomePod minis to improve the sound. They sound much better than the TV speakers (65" Samsung LED, basic model, non-4k). I recently moved so don't have them set up yet. I have a surround-sound receiver which I will be setting up with my 65" TV so probably will use regular speakers when I go to set that all up and use the HomePod Minis elsewhere in the house. Don't move, it's not fun!
Getting the newest Apple TV 4K + 2 HomePod 2nd Gens + 2 HomePod Minis for my work desk is my favorite purchase of the year. Planning to get more Minis for the rest of my house because they’re so goood.
Hey Gareth I am sorry I had not replied. I think Apple TV is the best choice for the flexibility like using AirPods. I hope your daughters appreciate it.
No I am sorry I do not. You can try creating a scene. For accessories, select the HomePod, then pick the audio you want, then shuffle and you should be good. To automate it with something you can create an automation that triggers that scene.
