@@Spitter-ud8jd DEF is an extra pain in the butt maintenance item that some would say is unnecessary. Requires an extra cost, an extra fluid, DEF is a little particular about how it is handle, but the good part it doesn't have anything to do with the engine except allow the engine to do its thing unlike EGR. What does it do ? Removes nitrogen oxide from the exhaust.
You telling them what you don't like is why they like to bring their toys to you to play with - honest feedback from experienced operators is priceless to R & D.
I made a comment on an earlier video that had MBTS laughing when I said "Just Put The Dirt Perfect " decal on it already. To offset the cost, sell the trusty 120 to Captain Kaos, sorry, Captain Kleenman, everything will be okay, it's just money.😂😂😂
Wow. Congrats on growing your channel to the size that a major manufacturer would give you their machines for that length of time and with zero strings attached. Looks like a sweet machine from what I've already seen you use it on.
WOW!! Jerry has a really nice place. The neatness of his property is no surprise. It fits his persona. He is always neatly and sharply dressed. His property just fits him to a T.
What makes these videos so great is that even for those who are not in the excavating business you explain everything so clearly without dumbing it down.
Man, Diego is an awesome guy to rep Case machines! He knows his machines from every angle, inside and out! Hey, this comfy hard working machine would look great riding around on your trailers, decorating your yard and responding to your every want and need under power, whew! I can see this 140 in your fleet as the little brother from another mother! By spring 2025, hope the price is right and it will then be snuggled in at the farm, adopted into your hard working family! Git it!
Mike, the love and mutual respect you and Aaron show towards Jerry is so refreshing to see. So often nowadays people concentrate more and more on the negative of things and relationships so that we get caught up in the gloom and doom of this world. There is a lot more good in this world that needs to be showcased rather than the bad and evil. May y'all continue to be abundantly blessed and thanks so very much for the vidjas that you work so hard to give us. John here, photographing the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee.
I had a moment, DP. Jerry's stacking and ricking of that firewood into cord rows reminded me of my grandfather's place and how neat and clean his woodpile would be. Great video on the Case 140 as well.
Great information for those in the excavation business. I enjoy watching and then when I drive by a big machine and go that's what dirt perfect uses! I am Glad that they told you about the hot and cold little container so that you can keep your Pepsi's cold
I have CASE equipment that I use all the time. I've found it to be very reliable. Looking forward to the use and final review of the 140! THANKS CASE for allowing Dirt Perfect the opportunity. We the subscribers and views really appreciate it. Thanks: Mike, Aaron, Deiago and guys. Lee
As soon as I saw Jerry mentioned in your title, the DP Channel went to being the first vid viewing of the day! Yes, I remember that brief glimpse of Jerry's place (mowing the lawns if I remember correctly) and was totally enamored with how immaculate his place was, which totally fits in with his attitude to life, not least driving a machine. I hope we get to see Jerry now and again....
I'm already liking, no egr, no Def, and no extra exhaust garbage to destroy the engine prematurely. Glad you took care of Jerry. He's a really great friend and hard-working man for someone who is retired from construction. Great walk around with Case, and the standard options are perfect for most people and hopefully for your business as well. Great video Mike, can't wait for the next one.
Good morning sunshine! Im loving that drone footage at the start of this video! Such a beautiful shot! Case knows you will put their machine to the test & tell them the honest truth about it too! Awesome video! Much love from Henderson Ga USA
Case knows that what feedback they get from you it will be honest and to the point. And the viewers recognize as well. Hopefully the Case can make the lineup.
Awesome to see the factory folks showing you all the bells and whistles and a Pepsi cooler as well..in my opinion that sealed the deal adding it to the fleet. As always I appreciate you sharing your day with us.😎🧑🔧🧰🛠️🇺🇲🚜
As someone who grew up around Case Equipment all the way back to the early 1980s, Case has come along ways from the old Drott excavator days. Their advancement in equipment design has been amazing. Back in the day the 580K backhoe and 1845 skid steer machines were top notch in their class. These are good days in the world of Case Equipment. Maybe this 140 will end up in the DP fleet. Finally, thanks to Case for entrusting DP to showcase their equipment!
I live out in the mountains of the west, and I must say your part of the country is beautiful this time of year. I suspect that Case is gonna be a keeper, the older a guy gets the more important comfort becomes. A good seat can keep your back happier longer...and that makes a difference. My brother is in your line of work out here, I helped now and then for 20 plus years before my back became an issue. We are jealous of that rock/boulder free ground you guys seem to be blessed with.
12:04 same engine as your Hyundai, just different bore and stroke... Both the B4.5 Cummins and the NEF45 are based on the B3.9 Cummins. Cummins and Iveco had a JV called European Engine Alliance in which Cummins and Iveco (Fiat Group) owned a 50/50 share. Yet the 6BT and 6CT engines were a 50/50 JV with Case in the 80s. So when Fiat group bought Case from Tenneco, they said hey, we own two times 50% of this engine, and stopped paying royalties to Cummins. Cummins was pissed off and patented every detail of how they developed the 102x120mm bore and stroke 5.9 into the 107x124mm 6.7. So fiat (FPT) came with a 104x132mm bore and stroke, also making a 6.7 Yet, like all other American engine brands, Cummins ran into reliability issues with EGR and DPF so nowadays they are following FPTs example with EGR free engines.
That's a good relationship that you have with Case, let's face it you're a bit of a. expert when it comes to earth moving so you're a good fit with Case. Really like how they listen and then produce a project that works for the client. 👍
That's a nice time limit for the demo. Gonna be nice watching you guys put it through it's paces. Mabey it meets your requirements for purchase. Stay safe
the seat on my cub cadet mower is why i bought it!!! and the air seat in my old 876 Versitile kept me from being as fatigued over long days of field work!!!! nice looking machine know we will see a lot more of its features to come!! HAVE FUN WITH IT!!!
Clearly Case knows that if a demo goes out with strings attached then they will not learn anything from the demo because they’ll only get back what they want to hear and then a real world operator will likely be extremely disappointed. Just think about all the people that recently bought an EV and are now extremely disappointed in so many ways.
thats a heap of education you just got with the case seems it is just like gettin it all together yourself the more you use it the easier it gets cheers you guys
I don`t know anything about excavating, but that cab and drivers seat sure seem nice, and when you are spending hours in it, well that`s what it`s all about comfort and customizeable for each operator, can`t wait to see it at work, hats off to Case for dropping it off for you to put through the paces.
Beautiful countryside you live in. I noticed that you were careful not to spill dirt on Jerry's driveway. You haven't tested the grapple clearance to the boom. You may have to cut back the centre teeth yet 🙂
So...What you are really saying " Nothing runs like a Deere...From a CAT...Trying to catch a Case!!" Damn, I don't even run heavy equipment and I'm trying to find a reason to buy one!! lol
I expect that cooler box is going to be filled fairly quickly (2 cans+?), but I also expect someone (DP, MBS) to forget their soda and find it warm. ;-) Ok, who's first to forget? ;-D
Mike enjoyed a full-watch and hope you guys enjoy using the Case excavator. I've never operated and excavator but you always make it look so comfortable and effortless. That's what years of experience does. Have a great Independence Day. 👍🏽🤠 07/03/24
I was like, come on Mike, just ask him how to change the thumb switch to your liking! 😁😁 "Maybe part of the fleet"! Does this mean you'll ask for the push blade on the one you buy? 😀😀 I guess the 120 is heading to the "churt" pasture! The real question is, is the coupler size for the 120 buckets or the 210 buckets! Hopefully, it matches the 210, so you can be more efficient in buying/using one set of buckets for all machines!
I liked the introduction, with the fly in I get to understand your area in relationship to the Ohio River. That river starts about 20 miles from me. I have crossed the Mon about 10000 times, each end of the bridge is the same state. See that you got a coat of paint on your buildings looking good. I love when you add my favorite saying "KISS RULE" (keep it simple stupid) you don't know how many times that I had said that at work. Have a good 4th.
You know for years case was kinda known as the king of backhoes and the other stuff was..... ok. I'm a farmer and Deere but, it's really been nice seeing how good all the case machines you've demoed have been. I don't dislike the foreign (whatever that means anymore they way things are), it's just nice to see an old name do well. Silly I suppose but I'm old and nostalgic sometimes ;)
Honestly. I think new technology and gadgets is good. But this is just fine. You have the important stuff . But perhaps some rails on top of the machine so you don't fall down, Somethings in the cabin are a little to old school for me. The seat for me is not good enough. But will probably do for 98 % of the operators. Nice that they have adjustable consoles, It still has DEF fluid ? The hitachi in the same size doesn't have any DEF
No EGR. That itself will prolong the life of that engine. Nothing worse than eating your own crap. Everybody wants clean air including internal combustion engines. Nice unit, periodic maintenance will most likely go smoothly. Thanks for the video with the expert.
I know this is supposed to be a “family channel”, but I’m sorry I’ve gotta say it: that case excavator is the cat’s ass. The only things missing is the kitchen sink and a toilet. Case did a great job on that machine, inside and out. They definitely set the bar high for the other manufacturers.
I think what I love the most, other than living vicariously through you for my love of heavy equipment, is that all of y'all are basically family. Keep up the good work. "he hand placed every piece of Riff Raff (sp?) lol
We have the 6.7 FPT in a 620H Tigercat skidder. Being built by Fiat did not inspire a lot of confidence at first but over the last year and almost 2000 hrs I can say I have complete confidence in this motor. It’s the only Diesel engine I’ve seen that when you change the oil it’s almost as clear as the new oil you’re putting back in. No EGR and no DPF and no problems. She does use a lot of DEF but that’s ok.
Finally someone did something with stupid government juice crap so hopefully not breaking all the time knows it’s good idea but big difference in idea and working RIGHT no matter who’s name on it I’d just put lawnmower engine in it with really good hydraulics lol 😂
Case Head Quarter's: We got are new CX140E coming out , we need to put it through it's pace's. We need someone who know's their dirt , and can show that dirt who's the boss with this CX140E. HR: We know the Perfect man, goes by Mike. CHQ: Is he honest? HR: Straight up! CHQ: Does he know his machines and his Dirt. HR: He's Dirt Perfect! CHQ: Ok find this man and put him on the Case. HR: Yes sir, right away.
Do not agree with extended service intervals. I think it adds an element of risk , complacency kicks in thinking owners don't need to touch it for a 1000 hours Oil still gets hot ,dirty and with heat comes wear ,the only compromise here is the no DPF or EGR .
I didn't get to finish the video the other day so here we are now closing up at Jerry's place. I'm not surprised it looks immaculate even the wood pile! Was such high compliments about this model case working so well you really don't have a choice but must look into the larger machines now not just for yourself but for us as well😅 Have a safe and sane 4th of July and we'll see all on the flip
Looks like a winner like you say time will tell I do have a question tho does it have the nightmare DEF I heard in the revival it did not but I dead hear on the display there was a option great presentation as always and enjoyed watching 👍👋🇨🇦
I said it before and I'll say it again. That first day in the case and we all will not be surprised if the 120 ends up being replaced! It'll be a sad day because the 120 is one of those that has been around since the beginning of the channel! Someone in the comments mentioned it should go to Captain Kleeman. I agree, but...........I don't think he could afford it as well as the maintenance. Especially with all of his projects. It would certainly become a viable piece of equipment for Captain Kleeman and would stay in the Derby Family, so to speak. Seeing Jerry's place, I would have to say he is a bit of a perfectionist! Nothing wrong with that! His property is AMAZING! So clean, organized, beautiful. He takes pride in what he owns, and he has certainly worked hard to earn it all!
Hey Mike loved the video. Never be able to afford one but awesome machine. Two things that probably aren't important but it doesn't look like the thumb folds as tight to the stick as your other machine's maybe causing a little trouble if your loading high. And some guys like me that break everything they touch why dont these companies tighten up and protect all the hoses on the stick. My old machine doesn't have any extras but all those hoses would scare me in alot of the brushy conditions I have to work in.
It'll very interesting after 100 hours of service what your thoughts are again. But watching you run it like you've put couple thousand hours on it already
Not sure about the smaller FPT but the 6.7 is literally bomb proof in any newholland i have been in started around 175 hp and they always get boosted to well over 200 sometimes even over 300 our T7040 is sitting at 268hp,Tbf Fiat engines have always been awesome my old boy drove a Fiat F140 and the engine was revving clean out of the clock with a full load down a steep hill we have here for a few days and never missed a beat the panels and gearbox will wear before the engine ever dies
It’s worth putting it threw your kinda testing cause you will try its ability too get the job done and the cab and the features are very cool nice ride 👍😎🇺🇸 NY
This is one of only a few videos I've watched with a manufacturer rep. Diego did a great job explaining the details! As someone already said in the comments before, I want one and I don't even know how to use it 😂
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Never been much of a Case fanboy but with every piece of equipment from them that you have tested the more they grow on me. I’m retired without the means or need to ever buy equipment, but saying that if I ever accidentally win a big lottery jackpot I can truthfully say, there would likely be some Case equipment in my future. 😂 Wishing you and your family the best.
I have no doubt Jerry hand placed those stones. Judging by the way that firewood is stacked, I could see him doing it. Just goes to show you when that does a job it’s gonna be right and look good too.
