DUDE! - I have been fighting with this for weeks! Thank you. You & Martin saved my rear. Instead of an image box with post id, I used a basic text box, with {post_id} for content and then have it link to {post_url} and it returns clickable links for each image. Do you know if there is a way to alter this so it can be used with the "Upload Files" field? I have a use case where I need to do essentially the same thing, but with .ai and .psd file types which the gallery field does not accept...
I have'not give a shot but i remember we can allowed files type in gallery field. You can try to put pdf, psd, ai etc there and use 'post_mime_type' => 'application/pdf', as an query arguments. Then get the file using {post_url}. Let me know if its work or if you have other solution
@@IvanNugraha07 - I did try that, but it did not seem to work. Thats why I wasthinking about the upload files field. I need to upload multiple files at a time and was tryint to avoid the repeater field, because it is a bit clunky for our use case. I found an article that stated extra file types are not allowed in the gallery field even when trying to modify the 'post_mime_type'
