Hey Alex, thanks so much! I'm looking forward to begin building sites in Bedrock+Local using this and with the guide from Clay in Local forums (to do this in Local Lightning). Just wondered how does the Flywheel file structure compare to something like Laragons' file structure (its similar in structure to Wampserver or Xamp). Where is the 'Local files' directory that you show in the video in Flywheel compared to the www folder in Laragon or Wampserver? I'm confused where we need to install the bedrock directory. Again another interesting subject that I find highly relevant. Not without frustrations though. Let me explain please. I have started to use Flywheel, Visual Studio and trying my hand at some simple javascript coding for wordpress. I lack an understanding of all the things that are presupposed knowledge for devs, but never talked about by bloggers and other kinds of site admins that I know of. Nearly all you talk about makes sense in a vague way, but I have no real understanding of how you would go about making a site run on a bedrock, use GraphQL, GraphiQL, Gatsby or something like that. I get the general idea about their use, but not much beyond that. I have a basic understanding of PHP, Wordpress and javascript. I lack an understanding of the more practical nature of how these things work in combination. I cant find any relevant material to base my next steps on. I find tons of "how to use this plugin" or how to do that in Elementor. But when i try to find something that goes beyond that, suddenly I find my self in a conversation that is probably mostly between experienced coders. I like your videos as you present things very nicely and obviously know what you are talking about. But 50% is way over my head and very hard to make sense of. Is there any chance that you are going to make a set of intro-videos where you go over the items that you otherwise expect people to know about. Do you perhaps have recommendations about how to proceed from a super-user stage to a stage where I can Projects that are on my list of things that I want to be able to are things like: Code for forms that will calculate a set of outputs based on user-input and save them to a custom post type-post. Coding a user- or account-home page with saved personal information (read articles, articles on "my to-read-list" and so on). How to understand a deal with security regarding saving private information. For these projects I think I might need a better understanding of the basic system of Wordpress in general. I just don't know where to find such an understanding. Do you have recommendations for where to look, what to read or how to proceed?

Sadly this doe not work on Windows with the latest version of Bedrock. When you delete the public folder it creates a shit show. The "site.config" is totally different then yours and does not allow for a set root path. Instead it gives you {{root}} ... you change anything there and your wp-config goes wild and you get a 404.

Getting Nginx 404 Error?! Note! If you are having issues with LocalWP 5 and Bedrock, go to localwp.com/community/t/adding-bedrock-to-local-version-5/15542/4 You'll see that {{root}} should be changed to: root "/Users//Local Sites//app/bedrock/web"; I hope this helps anyone else that's stuck with this.

Bedrock with Local is great! Just type this one thing and there you go... it all works perfectly. Oh wait, it's been 5 minutes so now nothing works (always and forever web development)

LocalWP has made an update to their path. `root /app/bedrock/web/` won't work anymore. You will need to provide the entire path e.g root "/Users/claygriffiths/Local Sites/bedrock-test/app/bedrock/web"; localwp.com/community/t/adding-bedrock-to-local-version-5/15542/3

Using bedrock just seems like extra work! There is no performance improvement or anything… I don’t see the point
