First...I think you’re awesome. I just consumed a few of your videos and I happened to see my gal Brooke Castillo (are you in Scholars by chance?🤔) so I love you even more. Im going to look into using my Canon Rebel as my webcam. And then Im going to seek out your lamp that dims.
Well, I was doing fine, all in, until the 4:10 min. mark, where you installed Camo on your laptop. When I try to install it, Camo asks me to type in an administrator's password. My Apple ID isn't what it wants, and I'm stumped as to what other kind of password it is requesting. I had no trouble installing the app on my phone, by the way.
I’m in awe of you ... someone who looks like me, geeks like me and has the personality I aspire to achieve. I’ve watched a few of your vids now. I love the extras on being in love with yourself. It took me a long time to get there. Thank you for what you do. I’m going to follow you from all my channels.
Gia all of your videos are helpful and informative, but more importantly, they're warm and personal. Thank you for pulling back the curtain on those awesome-looking results!
I loved this video. Your information and links were great. I have been so disappointed with my new 2020 MacBook Air camera. I have been using ZOOM since March of 2020. My old MacBook camera was sufficient when ZOOMING with my teachers...But....when I got this new computer...oh no. I have been complaining about the quality of my video with ZOOM since Sept. 2020. This afternoon I was going to purchase the Logitech Brio but following your tutorial and adding camo webcam reincubate to my iPhone and MacBook Air...the quality of my video is great. I don't need to order the Legitch Brio....I just ordered a gooseneck iPhone-camera holder. Your presentation is really fun and personal. I have subscribed to your RU-vid. You're fun and authentic. Thank you and good luck in your professional aspirations. I LOVED THIS RU-vid.
Your awesome Gia. Thank you for the way you inspire and empower others to shine, not only on the outside, but workng on the mindset. I had no idea about camo webcam. Thank you.
I'm an Etiquette and Protocol Instructor and have been watching a lot of your UTUBE videos for guidance. I'm new to all this digital knowledge and I find your information very helpful ❣ THANK YOU 🌷
I couldn't have found you at a better time. Not only have you helped me solved several of my technical issues with recording - you've validated my desire to put myself out there and offer my unique light. I'm not looking to be a world-famous RU-vidr, but I DO have something to share, and your encouragement at the end of every video helps me remember that being old and gray is NOT a drawback. Thanks for helping me relax into recording, simply so I can share what I have that someone else may need.
Gia, dear, you are absolutely great on making videos and so I just wanted to let you kmow I am vrey impressed to have discovered you. So inspiring and, overall, so confident you look. Absolutely important your tips and the reasons you give for your suggestions. Congrats, you really make things easy for your audience. Thank you so much. I have already suscribed to your channel and will be attentive to your stuff. From Guanajuato, Mexico, Jorge Preza.
Thx so much for these vids, everyone needs these tips right now. Just started a RU-vid channel myself this year and your channel growth is absolutely inspirational. Keep it up!
GREAT video Gia. Just found you, right before I bought a crappy video cam and a ring light and "hope it goes well". This is wonderful news about the iPhone or SLR connecting to the video cam operation for a best result. EXCELLENT and thank you. Already shared this a lot.
🥰I really enjoy your videos. 🎥📽🎦I just happen to come across a video of yours by accident (my teenage had my phone open) it had popped up on the next suggestion on RU-vid and I found myself watching one after the other. 🤪🤩Your style is like no other and I really can relate to you, as if you’re one of my sisters and we are just having a chat online.👯♀️ I look forward to binge watching 📺all your videos tonight 🌙and of course I subscribed because I can’t wait to see what you do next. 🤗🤗👍👌👐👏👏👏👏 awesome sauce.
Returning commenter. I just used Reincubate Camo for a job interview and my first time using zoom. Camo is SOOO worth the investment if your webcam is sub par. If you follow Gia's link to the software it includes a 10% off discount. I'm not sure if I got the job yet, but if I do this video and Gia's other video advice has made all the difference. Thank you again Gia for sharing your knowledge and advice. Very very much appreciated! Happy New Year!
The videos are excellent, but more to the point they have the highest thumb up ratio I've ever seen in all of youtubes. With your awesomeness you've attracted an extraordinary community. Keep up the good work!
Hello Gia!! Thank you for this information. We were able to use a windows machine along with the camera from our iPhone. It works and the video is very sharp!! Thank you!!
Gia, you are AMAZING! I've been putting up with my rubbish integrated webcam all lockdown. Just preparing for the start of term for uni's in UK next week and wondered how can I show up better than just getting my hair cut and putting on some slap (we're doing all inductions online). Just by chance came across this video, watched it to the end (not like me when it comes to tech stuff) and remembered I had a webcam sitting in a box. Hey-presto - my face looks so much warmer, my eyes are brighter and I feel so much more professional, therefore, confident! I'll be showing up on point next week :) Thank-you (heart)
Just discovered you today through RU-vid's suggestions! LUCKY day! I have learned SO much, and I am a pro photog out of DC. THANK YOU! Also sharing with my spouse who is a teacher of teachers. GREAT CONTENT!
Oh thank you so much Sherry that’s so lovely of you to say! I’m actually working on some content around that so stay tuned! In the meantime go for it, I’m sure you’ll be awesome!
I just needed to know is this. We just began having weekly family zoom meetings and the first one made me look so washed out. Ugh! You have given me some great ideas. I plan to look ‘healthy! Thank you.
Another amazing video, Gia! Your tips have helped so much with my other RU-vid channel. The picture and lighting gets better each time! I'll be experimenting with this new one tonight on my stream! Appreciate everything you're doing!
thank you so much for sharing your knowledge to everyone!!!More success for you and may you continue helping many people by sharing your ideas.Thank you so much!!!
I bought a Logitech QuickCam Pro for Notebooks in 2010 because the laptops didn't have a built-in camera then. it has a Zeiss lense and is still superior than anything. (onyl the mounting is a bit clumsy).
Advice, tips and tricks are amazing. Energy and enthusiasm are amazing. I am newbie to the Zoom Universe so these videos have helped me get a some idea of the do's and do not's of using my MacBook and iPhone to interface with the screen world. Thanks Gia!
Thank you! Camo is the solution I was looking for. I look like me again. I spend lots of meeting time on zoom. I have a laptop screen below eye level and a LARGE monitor behind the laptop standing on a box so it is above and behind the laptop. The large screen is crucial to what I do - the laptop screen does not have the real estate. Would love advice about the angles on the two screens. Now that I have watched your videos and know about the angles, I can do trial and error, but perhaps you already have some secret sauce?? I will look through your videos to see if this is addressed elsewhere. You are FABULOUS - love your energy and wit! Keep the good stuff coming!
Hello Gia, thank you so much for all of the wonderful tips I use zoom a lot each week :-) now I feel better about how I look and knowing that my audience can see my eye's and I can have there full undivided attention so I just wanted to say thank you and to say keep up the great job!!! :-) I hope that you have much success and stay beautiful ! P.S.1000,000,000 SUBSCRIBERS coming to you soon!!!
Hello from Kuala Lumpur. Thank you for making a superbly informative videos. Your vibe and sincerity in getting those valuable tips, had me to subscribe your channel that instance, on the very first video i've landed! (hardly to subscribe other channels on the first landing) Keep on creating & posting content similarly useful like this!!
Thank you for your great quality! I am speaking next week before a group of eLearning professionals, and you'll be featured prominently in my resources.
Your hacks are awesome! I'll try them out soon. Wish me luck. :-) Can you do a tutorial on how I could use my iPhone 7 for some outdoor running videos? Going for a Hero 9 is out of my budget.
Wait, do you still train? I’m working on some fitness content (and by that I mean getting myself in shape) let me know if that’s sounds interesting and we can 🌮’bout it
Gia Goodrich, girl, I literally say “let’s 🌮bout it” on my weekly checkins to clients 😂👌 #greatminds. Hell yeah lez talk fitness! I’ll message you on FB
Hi Gia, Thanks a lot for this information! it really sets my mind up. A question: while using the camera (like go pro ect) for zoom meetings as a web cam, do you/can you record the meeting as well? couse, the zoom recordings are in bad quality. thanks again
Great question, as far as I’m aware, there usually isn’t a way to double record. I use exam Live which records a higher version of my end but not the meeting. Otherwise, there’s a screen recording software called screen flow or QuickTime where you can record your screen.
There's no solution for eye-line adjustments, am I correct? Zoom adjusts my computer webcam adjusts so it appears I'm looking the interviewer in the eye, DRLR does not.
Hi Gia - Love all your videos and advice! I watched your video on lighting and angles and specifically for glasses. I don't wear glasses but I am trying to set up optimum diffused and soft lighting for my home studio on Zoom. Yes, I already have a ring light (I know you don't favor them) and a big window, however, I recently saw an ad for "lume cube" EDGE desk lights. They offer a discount on two if you need the glare reduced for wearing glasses. Do you recommend purchasing a pair of these and if so, even though I don't wear glasses, should I get the pair that reduces glare and offers softer lighting anyway? Thanks for your expertise in soooo many areas! Keep up the great and fun working videos.....We need them. Felicia
You are awesome! Love your channel. This may be personal but I heard you speaking Spanish and I would love to know what's your background. I'm Puerto Rican and I love hearing Spanish being spoken on the fly because the Spanish word is better/more fun than the English version.
Thanks for all the valuable information, Gia. I have downloaded the camo webcam in both, an hp probook4540s laptop (Windows 10) and a Samsung s8 smartphone. I have followed all the steps, but some reason is not working. It seems to have problems connecting. I am using the phone charging cable to connect. In my lap top it tells me that the device is configured correctly.
I work in a windowless basement office. Is a little lume box workable for that? My migrainy eye will hate it but it’s doable. Ps love how authentic you are.
Hi Gia, love your videos! I tried the Camo app when it first became available for PCs but I found it showed *too much* detail, and I'd have to start wearing foundation again, ha ha ha no. So I'm sticking with my webcam for Zoomies but my DSLR for proper videos. I teach mending courses online and use my DSLR as my handcam so students can see what I'm working on. When COVID first hit I couldn't get a capture card because all of Australia was sold out, so I use a program called SparkoCam instead, which is free and still cheaper than a capture card if you buy a lifetime license (to remove the creepy SparkoCam logo). It works just like an additional camera in Zoom, and I switch between the webcam when I'm talking to students and the hand cam when I'm demonstrating mending techniques (while wearing wireless earbuds so I can talk, listen and move around easily). It only works for PC but I know there's a similar program that works for Mac. As I was just Googling to see what the name of the Mac app is (Ecamm Live), I discovered that Canon now has its own free webcam software (doh!): www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/self-help-center/eos-webcam-utility/
Do you think the GoPro 8 would be better quality than the Logitech Brio? I was going to buy a Brio and then said why not use the GoPro 8. Your content is awesome!
🏆Thanks Gia, this is an amazing video. My camera on my Samsung S20 5G is amazing. It's so good to know I can use it as a web cam too. Cause my Mac pro webcam is terrible. Noticed I can't go straight from zoom live to Facebook on my phone. However with your tips, I can download option 1 to my computer and phone to have better quality. As a model and Life Coach this info is amazing. Keep up the good work. Love your channel. Xoxo 💋 TRICIA
