Barchie has been intended to become endgame since the start, they're slowburn. Bughead only got together because of rejection and jealousy, calm down. Betty and Archie are happening in Season 5 so deal with it. He rejected her because it was the wrong timing. If you thought Barchie was never going to happen, you're blind. Barchie has known each other since childhood and Betty said she has been in love with Archie for 10 years in 4x18, what does that tell you? Bughead is breaking up in S5 and Barchie is happening in the time jump.

I've been shipping Barchie since the beginning of the series, I don't think their relationship is toxic because they always protected and loved each other, they are best friends since childhood ... betty is the one who doesn't deserve the jughead, betrayed him ... just like archie did with ronie. but archie and betty just can't deny how they feel about each other. but i love betty and archie for everything they've been through, how much they've been there for each other. The only toxic relationship is BuGhEaD they are so toxic that I would need a dang gas mask just to watch them and they are so unhealthy for each other it’s sad because I think they’re relationship was so rushed and they were just pushed into it they had no time to develop friendship before jumping into a relationship Betty and Archie have been best friends sense they were 4 and Betty had been in love with Archie sense they were kids she only got with jughead because she was hurt and desperate at the time for comfort
I don't get why people ship them tbh, Archie treats Betty really bad and as a rebound, Jughead treats her like the queen she is. Also, haven't you all noticed that the beginning of their relationship is already toxic? Cheating on their partners? really? what an amazing start for a good relationship (sarcastic). Plus, Betty already stated that she loves Jughead and not Archie..
