My beautiful sister Donna was dying from cancer. She carried this book with her wherever she went. I know it helped her through till the end, and for that, I am very grateful. 🙏
I’m a Christian, raised in a Catholic Church, attend mass every Sunday 7:30am,this book is absolutely incredible, it’s fascinating to wrap your mind around life after death. Once you open the book it’s hard to put down. I finished it in a few hours. It’s a read you will never forget. May GOD bless you all with peace, health, love & happiness.
My mother died suddenly. We were in so much grief and found this book in her nightstand. There was a note inside from her sister who had died a few years earlier and it was also devastating to us. It just seemed like it made our way into our hands by some divine intervention to console us. No real explanation for it and it’s not some fancy story, but the book found its way to us and we found it so comforting.
I felt the Holy Spirit many times when reading this book. It was such a comfort to me. I was subjected to SRA at 6 years old. Why do we have to go through so much evil in this world?
In 1996, my son was 14 and travelling on a ferry. While he stood in line at the news stand to pay for his candy bars, he glanced around the store. For some reason he could not explain, he was drawn to leave the lineup and walk over to a book that caught his attention in the display. When I picked him up, he told me, "I bought you a present, Mom." I was stunned, first of all that he'd spend his snack money on me and secondly, that he'd chosen just the kind of book I would love. He explained that this book had pulled him toward it and he felt he just had to get it for me. Before the year was out, this book would play a pivotal role in many lives. It began with my own mother becoming distraught that her favorite sister was dying of cancer. I handed her the book and said, "Read this. It's amazing and I think it will help you feel better." She called me soon after, raving about the book and what it had done for her sister, whom she'd loaned it to after she'd read it. My aunt had become joyous upon reading Embraced by the Light, thrilled to be going home to Jesus and all her other loved ones and my Mom was no less thrilled to see her in such high spirits. A few months later, it was my mother who was stricken with cancer and given a short time to live. We still speak in awe of the experience to his day: How incredibly gracious and wonderful she was in her final weeks; her finest moment easily. She was so happy to have all of us there, always thinking of us and sharing much laughter, smiles and lots of stories as well as her excitement for this wonderful journey she was about to take. I suppose there were about 3 dozen family members who stayed close by as she was winding down. ALL of us were given glorious inspiration and a ringside seat to a very beautiful transition. Grief was barely felt by any of us. All because of Betty's book. I'm here because my beloved little maltese is dying beside me and I have been inconsolable. Definitely helps to listen to Betty.
Beautiful is it not. I read Embraced by the light years ago. It's just awesome. I know 100% where I am going when I die. Just think.Jesus stepped off his throne and came down to earth with a mission. Died and went back home to Heaven. We also stepped down from Heaven. Believers die and return back home to Heaven . Just Awesome.
I picked up this book probably a year or two ago, and put it aside. I just found it again, and decided to read a little bit; I was so enthralled by it, I read the ENTIRE book in 1 hour and 21 minutes! Amazing!
I got real drunk and high one weekend visiting my hometown on a Saturday knowing full well after returning home at 5 a.m. that my mom and dad required us to attend church every Sunday which was gonna be in 2 or 3 hours or so.... I immediately fell into a deep sleep and somehow I was up ☝ above the bed thinking I woke up and looking down, I saw myself asleep or as minutes passed, figured out I must be dead or comatose from maybe perhaps overdose..... I immediately began to try to push myself back into my body as I was so panicked thinking "I can't go out like this as I unsuccessfully continued to push back in....In the next room were my parents whom were snoring very loudly and clearly I could not get back in and futily gave up. I started praying to the GOD and Creator of all things to forgive me of wrongs I've committed....I then immediately blacked out and gave up ☝.....that's when I was back in.....Still terrified 😨.....I did not go back to sleep.....I played sick 😷 and stayed home which I explained to mom that I didn't feel well and she was OK with it....Unbeknownst to her, her religious beliefs engrained would never begin to relate to the fantastic terror but newly found awareness that I think about every single day......nobody has to believe that one day,we all will come out of the body....even I was extremely sceptical of the hypothesis of a spiritual awakening in another new body "concept", which I totally was not sure of.....Well folks,....this was not a dream.....you sceptics that think it's emanating from the brain.....me as an ex-sceptic can surely say for fact....It's unsuspectingly gonna happen to YOU.....watch....

I have read this book in the late 90's. This was quite familiar to me because my dad had many similar books in his mini library. All of us children were encouraged to read. Just sad, when he died in 2021, our oldest sister burned them all, as she found them evil. She is a devout Catholic.

I absolutely love this book. The first time I read it was many years ago shortly after my mom died of Cancer. It brought me so much comfort & it answered many of my questions on Spirituality. I was raised a Catholic. My family was close friends to 3 of the priests. All of them were good & kind. This is indeed a beautiful book & I've recommended it to many people. I was not brought up with religion but when I was six years old I saw a book there was Jesus in the book and I knew him. Betty you are so right Jesus has always been with us.
I read your book in 1998 and so many things happened. I called on the angel's driving from portales nm to phoenix AZ and got tired on the crossing boarder and asked for angels. they came. I was driving 75 miles an hour and the first angel 😇 was in front of my wind shield . She had her fingers in her ears going up and down and the she placed her fingers on either side of her lips and making faces all I could do was laugh. outside of my truck door was another angel going up and down making faces, opened her eyes big and small. I always remembered your description of the valley , grass see threw iluminus...with a colored see thru horse's of color. the flowers see thru and brilliant. Forgive me for not letting you know sooner. You gave me JOY. I love horses! I read Embraced By The Light not long after the book came out. I've read it several times. I also have Betty J. Eadie reading the book on cassette tape. I listen to that every few years. Her description of heaven is very in depth. I love this book.

I have tears in my eyes when I listen to Betty's words. She is talking about how strong believes are and I can echo it from my own experience as trauma therapist: Identifications, believes, attributes are so powerful that we forget on who we really are. "I will...", "I want to..." are the start for growth, change and utlimatively transformation. We all have a free will.
It's very easy to say "love one another" "love your neighbors" But it's so difficult and challenging to love difficult people, arrogant ones and too proud to respond to the love you give them. How do we deal with this?

(The fear of 'Believe or Else' tends to stick with folks.) Of all the experiences peoples have, Jesus experiences are less than 1% of total NDE's... The POINT here is we DO NOT DIE and it DON'T MATTER what you believe in. So, everybody can STOP competing with each other and come together in this one Fact, 'We Don't Die!'
When my son died of an acute and agressive leukemia we didn't talk about him dying because we had hopes of him being curative and I couldn't face him losing his fight to live 💔 . He was so brave and beautiful, had a bright future and wanted to live so much . I wish we had been given this book and been able to talk about it , feel like I let him down so badly , just had to watch him die and keep spouting false hopes .
That is a tough situation emotionally, you deserve so much love and compassion for yourself. 💕 I bet your son wants you to be comforted and not distressed.

I Loved your books and I have read them. I just was listening to you on RU-vid on a radio show. I have studied NDE'S since 8th grade. There is no religion on the other side, Love for Jesus. Betty there is a hell! Not everyone would even want to be with Jesus and there's some very evil people out there that couldn't and, or want to follow heaven like we would trust me I have seen it. Other then that I Love to hear your experience with Jesus on the other side.

I have been thinking regarding what Betty says about "How on earth would I recognise Jesus Christ, I never met him before. I didn't experience him, and he wasn't a part of my understanding"? I have pondered this for a long time, in particular because I went through 3 years of deconstructing my Christian beliefs, as well as Jesus within the Christian context. I have to be honest, the prospect of meeting Jesus in heaven does not give rise to any feeling of excitement for me, and I know this is due to the horrific trauma I experienced with religion and the Christian "gospel" - all of which I no longer adhere to now. I no longer have an "emotional" attachment to the person of Jesus, that went away as I resolved my inner trauma that left me feeling insecure and in need of Jesus as my Saviour. But anyways, I would like to share my insights regarding how our Subconscious Psyche (Soul) works and "creates" our realities. Before I explain this, I want to say that I think of God more in terms of CONSCIOUSNESS, rather than a PERSON. In one interview, Betty was saying that "God is continually evolving", and this fits with the aspect of evolving Consciousness. So, how would she recognise Jesus as the Light that embraced her? She says she did not have any experience with him on earth, however as an impressionable 4 year old child and over several years she was exposed to the Christian context that "framed" her subconscious reality. (This is evidenced by her recounting the meeting of 3 men in heaven who were wearing "brown monk robes", which she was heavily impressed with during her time as a child in Catholic residential school). She saw the images of Jesus on the Cross and whatever else they would have had in the residential school. We don't have "conscious" memory of what we were impressed with during childhood, and it works and creates our life from the subconscious part of our Soul. This is why our Soul needs "saving"... deliverance from all the subconscious programming. I know I was exposed to the Christian world view (beliefs) since I was a baby in my mother's womb, because my mother would attend Mass faithfully every week. Even from within the womb, a baby absorbs all the sounds from outside and the emotions and thoughts of the mother on the inside. We think we need to be physically conscious to experience, but this is not true. So many unconscious events have impressed us even before we come out of our mother's womb. This has been a very intriguing topic for me, as I have had to try and understand "God" in a new way. And while I don't judge Betty for having met Jesus as the Light and Eternal God, I also understand that this is not a workable option for many Souls, because of the great emotional pain that is often associated with the name Jesus. Just think of all the collective Trauma that was inflicted over that name during the Crusades, and the Genocides of the Native American peoples etc. etc. I know that in my case, God cannot be Jesus - I have too much pain attached with that name. I was excited to hear Betty speak in terms of "God becoming anything" we need him/her/it to be in order to heal and embrace Love. And for me, the Teddy Bear does not have to morph into Jesus at all. I am quite comfortable to know Divine Source as the "ineffable" and "indefinable" Consciousness, because to give God a "name" or "identity" such as Jesus, would place a limitation on Source, a limitation that our MIND has learned and imposed. I understand today, that it is our human mind that requires such labels and identifiers to make our experiences "real" and "personable". One last point I'd like to bring up... since our Soul is a direct "piece" of God Source, we are actually the "creators" of our realities, including the ones in our afterlife. Our Soul Consciousness is truly that powerful. I have heard other NDEs described and it appeared like they were creating the after life by following their own Consciousness (as they observed an awareness, it became that). This to me describes the true nature of "God", that ever evolving Consciousness... instead of a "fixed" person or identity. If that makes sense? PS: And the main reason why we are not aware of our Divine creative powers is because we are locked in "time and space" which severely DELAY our manifestations. That's why when we are "out of body" we experience our "creation" through awareness INSTANTLY! That is the only difference between the two worlds and realities. We are SLOWED DOWN Light or God.
Your present beliefs will take you to hell. But the Catholic beliefs are not good either. But you'd have been better off to remain in them than to get into the demonic New Age beliefs you now have. It's sad that you have slipped away into la la land.
I remember seeing Betty on with Oprah Winfrey. I heard Oprah say there are many paths to the light. Now the is a lie from the pit of hell. We believers know. The Holy Bible says in John 14:6. Jesus said I am the truth, the way, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me. He is our Savior. Sent to earth to die for all humanity. That who so ever believes in him shall not perish but have ever lasting life. Amen.
That verse is taken out of context. Moses was told "I AM" was God. Jesus said "that I AM in the Father, He is in me, You are in me,.......We are one." Also, in the gospels he kept correcting his followers by saying "Son of Man". Then he said that we can do what he did and even more. When Paul was caught up into the heavenly he saw what he could not describe but started saying Christ Jesus after that......meaning "Anointed Jesus". Jesus also said "you can blasphemy me but do not grieve the Holy Spirit.....who will teach you all things."..... "Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will open." Hmmm We have to put it all into context not pick and chose scriptures. If you are breathing and alive, you have God in you. When we mature and obey Christ's teachings, we will overcome fear and LOVE ourselves and others. Blessings
I read and follow Anita Moorjani , her NDE she did not see Jesus or God. She says that spirit has no gender. Betty mentions many times that she saw men and a panel of 12 men. Where are the woman or children. The NDE are different for many people. My mom had an NDE she saw her deceased family members and was told it was not her time. She did not have the same experience like Betty. My mother was not religious
What about people who have a heart for depravity? The heart can lead people astray. That is why right and wrong is upsidedown today. Betty, you needed to define this heart thing better. It's best not to give people license to follow their depraved passions, however unintentional you intended that to be.
I am a truth seeker but have yet to find the right answers :) So what is that all about God restoring a new earth and a new heavenly covenant? Can we negate bible Truth? Although our interpretations leave a whole lot to be desired. But the Scriptures do tell us that 'the meek shall inherit the earth, which I would assume would become a perfect habitation, as God had originally intended for humans? Can Eadie give me any idea :)

The Jesus some near-death experiencers say the met on the other side is hopelessly inconsistent with the Jesus of the Bible. According to the Bible, Jesus is the judge of all humankind (John 5:22; Acts 10:42; Rom. 2:16; 2 Cor. 5:10; 2 Tim. 4:1; Jude 14-15), he sends people to hell forever (Matt. 5:22; 25:31-46; Heb. 6:2) and most people end up in hell (Matt. 7:13-14). This is the Jesus of the Bible.

As much as i loved this book as a kid i hate to knock it, but this woman is not for real. Read your bible. Study it. Once u do you'll be able to test everything to see if its f0r real or not yourself.

Amen ❤️...I read this book too in the 90's...then a pastor(can't remember his name)wrote a book rebuking her...his book was called: "Decieved by the Light"..you can type it in on RU-vid and you will see it...but I've grown spiritually since I last read it and somethings I remember about the book is not biblical since I just study my Bible now.
I appreciate this woman's heart and her desire to help others. But the belief system presented in this video is contrary to the Bible. What is presented here is a mixture of a watered-down Gospel and Mormonism. The reason I say this is she makes reference to humanity as having "been with Him (God) for all eternity". But we are not eternal beings....specifically, we have not always existed. (Although once created, we will continue to exist from that time forward. ) Human beings are created beings and as such have a beginning. God has no beginning as only God has never been created. Another fallacy she presents is the notion that God is "God of ALL religions". God is NOT the God of "all" religions because not all religions have the same "god". The God of the Bible is different from the god of other religions. For instance, the god of Islam absolutely hates Christians and Jews. The god of Mormonism was once a man and "became" god. God is certainly not one of the hundreds of gods of Hinduism, nor is Budah to be considered to be God. According to the Law of non-contradiction, two opposing "truths" cannot be true. One would have to be false and the other, true...or both would have to be false. But two completely opposing views cannot be true. The God of the Christian Bible is diametrically opposed to all other "gods" as presented in any religion outside of Christianity/Bible. Unfortunately, due to the opposition to Biblical teaching that comprises this woman's testimony, it can only be concluded that it is NOT a Christian testimony, and therefore NOT of God. The question you must ask yourself is this: do you want to be told some feel-goodism that fits into your desire of what you want to believe? Or do you want the sometimes more difficult to accept Truth? Remember, if you choose to believe a lie, your salvation and eternal future could depend on it. Do you seek the Truth? The Truth will not "coddle" you but it will empower you through Christ. Open your Bible....Be fed from the Word of God Himself. Arm yourself with this knowledge and you will not be led astray from well meaning yet false doctrine, such as is presented in this video. if you really experience near death experience yourself you will know that God you know or understood is not the same as the God you faced after death, the truth is really different than what we know
Her experiences were not of God. They contradict the Bible, and He never does that. They were given to her to cause her to not learn about or know the true God, and to get off into New Age beliefs, so she would teach others as she is doing to reject the true God and believe in false doctrine that will take them and her to hell. The very thing she was afraid of, she is headed for, because she believes a lie. God is loving but there is only one way to get to spend eternity with Him. It has nothing to do with nationality or color, it has to do with getting born-again, confessing the Messiah Yahushuwa (not named Jesus - that was never His name) as Savior, and doing our best to living according to His instructions.

It doesn’t take that many books to say that there is heaven, the creator, & your soul, you rise from your flesh body, That goes back to the times of Plato & Socrates & beyond. These stories are all over the internet now for free. The Creator is not a man. & they use a name for the son of Joseph & Mary, that was not his real name & goes back a few hundred years. So why if they are talking to him, don’t they even know his real name? If it makes you feel better or happy, then maybe it’s worth it. It’s just that every NDEer is now writing a book, & I have been hearing skepticism because of it.
