This guy changed my view of the guitar, I couldn’t imagine such a level of play, he even plays without looking at the neck and how you can react to notes and play them so quickly, I can’t wrap my head around it, I don’t understand it yet. ...
Those groove sections in obfuscation around 5:05 and Swim to the Moon around 48:30 still hit so hard. BTBAM is an acquired taste but their musicianship is undeniable. Incredible album.
Bro, that guitar needs some serious TLC lol. Those strings look like they've never been changed and that's just about the most disgusting fretboard I've ever seen. 🤮
He changes the strings pretty often, but he's also been shredding the shit out of it for multiple hours a day for like 8-10 years at this point lol. All we need is for Jackson to feed him free guitars.
@@GuitarHeroGage Not often enough. If you're playing guitar everyday for hours at a time, you need to change strings about every month at the latest, can go longer if you use coated strings that are meant to last longer but eventually all strings begin building up grime and even begin rusting. But these strings and fretboard are absolutely caked in grime. Even the inlays up on the higher frets has gunk on them. The dust buildup in between the pickups tells me this guitar hasn't been serviced in a very long time. I'm not saying this just to be a snob, the guitar will sound and play better if it was cleaned and has new strings. It makes a huge difference.
@@godsmacking99 According to him on stream he changes them every few weeks, or sometimes more often than that. The dust build up between the pickups happens very often, idk what you're even going on about there. Mine builds up dust after a week or 2 of playing, it just shows up more on black guitars. Dust is just dead skin cells, so if you have dry skin it shows up pretty quick. It does sound like you're trying to be a snob at that point. But I agree it can be cleaned up better.
@@GuitarHeroGage I'm sorry, but if you think those strings are being changed every couple of weeks, you are being incredibly ignorant. You can't even see the G, B and high E strings because there's so much grime on them. That doesn't happen in just a few weeks of use, that takes months for strings to look like that. And that fretboard hasn't been cleaned in years I'd wager. Just disgusting. And no, dust buildup around the pickups is not normal to happen often. That only happens when you don't change your strings often enough so you can never get in there to clean that area. Which is just more evidence that he never changes the strings on this guitar. That or his house/room is equally as filthy and never cleaned as his guitar is.
